“You really are alive?” James exclaimed, his voice breaking from the excitement of seeing his mother again. James hadn’t really been with his parents long at any point in his life. While in Starcut, he only got brief breaks to return home from time to time because he was one of the more special children. After his graduation, he didn’t get much time to spend with them either before the chaos swooped in on them. Seeing his mother now was like getting another chance to have a life with her in it.
“Mom?” he called.
“Hmm?” Vivian didn’t expect him to say anything at this point.
“Will you come to join us in the Cortex?” he asked.
Vivian didn’t say anything for a while but she eventually answered.
“Let’s talk about that another time”
About an hour later, KS, James and Chelsea were seated
