The President and Staff of the Administrative Office had no idea how much their decision to release the National Guards in the city helped the Cortex’s convoy. Although there were still some attacks, things eased up considerably after the first one. By the time the convoy arrived at the new Cortex building, there were only two cars left. William and Blaze, both wounded, Blaze worse off and supported by William had to join Chelsea in her SUV after theirs was blown up. It wasn’t a miracle they survived because although the car flew high up from the explosive force and bounced a few times, it was still generally okay. The weaponry of the enemy was advanced but there was still a limit to how much they could smuggle into the capital city and the cars of the convoy were incredibly advanced.
