Beads of sweat fell from KS’ head as she stayed in a squatting position behind a short broken wall. William was not too far from her and she could see that he was also exhausted as were the soldiers who came with him. They had been at Mad Ink for hours now and the hot sun wasn’t helping much.
“Huh, I never wanted to be a freak but, I won’t go back today without any results. I have better things to do than stay here and fight this stupid battle.” KS muttered to herself as she changed the half-used magazines in his pistols for fully loaded ones.
