They got back to Atratia in one piece and the team got cleaned up, James' wound was stitched but he was still pale since he lost a lot of blood, he kept fighting even after the cut and the bleeding got worse.
Stacy was a bit shaken as they ran into more of the attackers on their way back, she was good with the guns, but she had never been at a war front, that is exactly what it was; war.
The team came together at the infirmary after they had all been attended to find out what happened with William that made him freeze and unconscious of everything even time as it passed, the most interesting part was that he was 'consciously unconscious'. Subconscious?
The nurse who was attending to him turned to face them after hours of waiting, she had been doing tests over tests and looked even more confused with each result.
"I'm sorry, I have completely no idea what happened but there are two possibilities, his body reacted to a foreign chemical in his lungs, so he inhaled the gas from the atmosphere or was forced to breathe it in"
"There is no way of telling how he got it or why was he the only one affected, autopsy shows the other two died from bullet wounds" Chelsea commented quickly eliminating the idea.
"That's right, the other three also didn't have the chemical in their bodies"
"So what's the other?" James asked impatiently
"The chemical, I don't know what it is yet, is very slow to react with the body, its effects seem to have been boosted by a catalyst, my best guess adrenaline." she paused and walked to the board.

"What you are saying is that adrenaline made William frightened and attentive?" Stacy asked.
"Well yes but I also think William might have PTSD, thanks to Atratia's training system"
