The Heat.

2004 Words
It all now begins to piece into the puzzle in Lucien's mind, as the disturbance he feels and agitation of Adon, all relays down to Dalia, marking today as the first full moon to which he has found his mate. And also to which they haven't completed the mate bond. Lucien running a hand over his hair in discomfort, as worry floods his mind, in sense that, Dalia has no idea of what to come her way, neither does she know anything about the heat, else she may have made her decision before then, as now, Lucien's night is going to involve a heap of sandstorms which he admits. "Then you need to be with her, Alpha." Cara tells Lucien the instant she receives his response. "Its not as easy as you believe. I...heavens, women!" Lucien runs another hand through his hair as with each of his sentence, so does the day go darker and Adon stir even more uncomfortably. Cara, never in her life seeing her Alpha, to be disrupted, rather disorganized, as this time she sees it all, giving her the stun of her life, at the same time, knowing exactly what it feels like when one has a mate, as something of such did occur to her and her mate. "Your Highness, I believe you do know it is going to get immensely unbearable, if you are not there with her, as she will only feel as though her body is on fire." Cara explains to Lucien, reminding him of something which he already knows. Lucien not the man to spill out his worries, or personal affairs find it difficult to confide in Cara. Nothing of such that he doesn't trust her, as she wouldn't be his omega if he didn't, yet, when it comes to personal affairs, Lucien regards it to be personal, but at this point, it may seem he may just have to let the words slip out of his mouth, after all, Cara is indeed a woman like Dalia. "Cara I did try, and I do want to be by her side, as you do know that my body will ache to be closer to her, yet, I can not neglect the previous feeling of what she presumes of me, and going closer to her, we both know decisions would be made based on the lust we feel, and then what happens the next day?" Lucien speaks to Cara sincerely, as it doesn't take him to explain the full story for her to understand the situation her Alpha faces. "Pardon my openness, your Highness, but  still yet, you have to be by her side, it is your responsibility to see her through it, either you complete the mate bond or not." Cara informs Lucien as with her words he stays quiet, taking in Cara's words. Lucien doesn't say anything anymore, as time passes by and the clouds become darker, while the warriors who train all begin to leave to their respectable families, leaving it to be just Lucien and Cara. 'Thank you Cara." Lucien finally speaks, nodding pleased at her. "I believe you should get back to kiran and the pups." Lucien smiles gratefully at Cara. "Very well Alpha. I'll attend to Marcel once he arrives, while you tend to your responsibilities. I wish you all the best, your Highness." Cara greets Lucien, as he can only have a proud  smile on his lips, having someone like Cara to be his omega. Cara taking that as her last words before she leaves Lucien to completely dwell in his thoughts on the feeling he and Adon experiences, one that he fears for the outcome.  Seeing he remains the only one in the open, Lucien decides to take his leave back inside, where he can solve this predicament of he and Dalia. As he walks closer to the interiors of the palace, Lucien can not help the excited and battling feeling he faces, as Adon jumps in excitement feeling them walk closer to where Dalia is. Lucien has a verified idea on what outcome would surface today, as he prepares for the battle that may come after the night, knowing a thing or two may lead on, once he sets his eyes on Dalia on such a night. At the same time he can't help but blame himself for not informing Dalia sooner than this of such a night, as it is indeed what Dalia battles him about, yet, if she had given him a listening ear after he informed her of their bond, this excruciating burn on their bodies, may not occur. Rather than going to Dalia's room first, Lucien passes through hers, up to see a certain royal, whom he believe would suggest better guidelines for him to follow. The Queen. Lagartha. "Come in son." As Lucien's hands do raise to knock the door, so does his mother's words come from the other end, while he pushes the door open. Lagartha, seeing her son's physique need not to see twice, for her to envisage of something being the matter, as even if they may not have spoken much since their previous disagreement, Lagartha knows, she needs to give her son time to figure it all, as she does recall the feeling of what it is to be a leader. "Speak to me son, what bothers you?" Lagartha instantly by Lucien's side, while her fingers move to caress the skin on his cheek, feeling the rising temperature his body faces. "Dalia..." Lucien's words come, as Lagartha gaze swifts to pity on her son. "Oh Lucien," Her fingers caress his skin even more evidently. "I know your feelings towards her, yet, you have to give her time." Lagartha speaks. "I am aware of that mother, which is what I have been doing, until today, until the day I may no longer be able to control myself, with the way my body burns for her." Lucien admitting words of fact to his mother. "Time repairs Lucien, give it time." Lagartha tries to console her son. "Not today mother. Not today. I can't let her be on her own on a uch night. You do know the pain that follows." Lucien speaks, as Lagartha's brows furrows trying to understand her son, as when realization hit her, Lagartha wastes no time when she drops her fingers from Lucien's skin, going towards the door. "Well, why do you stand there? Come with me." Lagartha turns back to her son, whereas Lucien stares at his mother in perplexity, of what she may be scheming. Either ways, Lucien knows his night has just began. ------------- Dalia groans, while she rolls on the bare floor, after folding out the carpet that covered the tiles. Her winces and struggles can be heard if paid attention, as even Sebastian in the room, seems to feel her pain, as his cries begins. Trying to get herself from the floor to Sebastian, Dalia feels her body aching, as when she leaves the cold floor, her body reacts instantly to resume the burning feeling she feels, along with the constant craving her heart feels and tugs towards. Not able to control it for much longer, Dalia pulls out the clothes she has on, leaving her in her transparent satin undergarments, before she eventually pays Sebastian heed. Still feeling her body ache with excruciating pain, Dalia cries along with Sebastian, wincing in pain, while Sebastian's cries grow louder. Her hair disheveled, her face flushed and red, and the immense disorderliness Dalia faces, all crashing out on her, that never in her life as she experienced such excruciating pain, that her mind only thinks of Lucien as the remedy. Hearing Sebastian's cries go louder, Dalia gets no choice, than to finally drop Sebastian and wrap a cloth around her body, before picking up the infant, to walk out the door and search for her maid, turned friend, Yenefer. Dalia's gaze swifts to her window to see the full moon in full custody, displaying night coming into effect, as she prays of hoping to find Yenefer.  Dalia's reactions doesn't deduce, neither calms, as soon enough her heart begins racing in full beats, that she holds the stand close to her for support not to fall with the child in her arm, whom keeps crying due to the body heat radiating off her. Sebastian's cries begin to echo that Dalia can no longer extend his cries, as she walks to the door, only to pull it open to have her red eyes laying on the Queen.  "Oh dear," Lagartha in pity of Dalia the instant she sees her, as she can't help but reason the suffering the two decide to put themselves in of not wanting to let fate take it course, as they rather decide to bear the pain than let their heart speak, yet, she knows it won't be long before they have no control and fate will eventually take place. "Your...Majesty," Dalia's words come husky, as she bows difficultly. "Why suffer yourself Dalia, when you can ease your pain?" Lagartha questions Dalia, as Dalia only gulps prominently. "I don't know how to do such, your Majesty, if I did I would have to ease this unbearable pain that tears my skin." Dalia speaks vividly at how the Queen can see through her instantly. "Yes my dear, yes you do know how to ease your pain, but wish not to, because of what it is your mind finds anger with. I do not blame you for your actions, but, do not suffer yourself with such pain, which can be eased at arms length." Lagartha tells Dalia, as she walks closer to her. "Why do I feel this your Majesty? Why do I crave him so much more than other days? Why am I so upset with him, yet, believe I am his forever? Why do I feel he is the remedy and cause to my pain?" Dalia speaking out in pain of what she feels that a tear slips her eyes, with racing heart that doesn't end, as the Queen feels her words deep into her skin, as on the other hand, so does Lucien who stands away from her gaze to reach him, hearing she and his mother's discussion. Lucien's heart as though will be pulled out of his chest, as he knows his pain may not be as excruciating as hers, yet, the one he feels with Adon beating his every organ, send him to overdrive. "Because he is Dalia. He is." Lagartha staring into Dalia's eyes tells her truthfully. "What you are going into, is called the Heat, and every unmated werewolf goes into them, once they have found their mate, and refused to complete the mate bond." Lagartha educates Dalia, as Lagartha's words insert in she and Sebastian's ears, such that it calms Sebastian's cries. "Do you mean because I haven't chosen what I want with Lucien, that's why I feel such way?" Dalia questions. "Yes Dalia. And if you do reject your bond with Lucien, I'm sure you know what you will feel, even if this may come calm, a lot worse would surface. And if you accept, then you and Lucien would have to complete the bond or wait for the full moon to pass to have yourself again." Lagartha explains. "This is because of the full moon?" Dalia questions, recalling her sighting the full moon earlier, as Lagartha nods. "And once it passes, I'll be alright?" Dalia adds. "Yes, you will, but let me warn you Dalia, if you do choose to wait, then this is only the beginning of you and Lucien's pain, as it is about to get worse than you can imagine." Lagartha informs Dalia, as her gulp goes down again loudly, signalling her fear. "And if I choose not to wait, what do I do then?" Dalia questions as her heart races in envisage of the Queen's response. "Then you and Lucien will have to complete the mate bond, by becoming one."
