According to hearsay and superstition, the number thirteen is associated with negative meanings. Few of these meanings are bad luck, misfortune, chaos, curse, and just plain trouble. The superstition surrounding this number began with the event that happened way back on October 13, 1307, wherein the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church sentenced the Knights Templar to death. It was a terrifying day in history where many were arrested and tortured without proven of any charges.
From that day on, the number thirteen became a synonym for ill fortune. But you know, it’s probably just an old man’s belief. These days, good things could happen on the 13th day. It just depends on how you see things.
