The first rays of dawn bathed the safe-house in light through its shattered windows, which revealed both closed doors and the massive pile that remained after days of battle. The smoke's suffocating smell mingled with the breeze, bringing her a blood scent which had become familiar to her sense of smell. Jack stands in the room with blood covering him while weapons from the battle gleam. The survivors show tired determination as they tend to the injured and salvage useful equipment around them.
