Keeping low to the shadows, Gabrielle slipped through the hall, her heart thudding like a drum in her ears. Every step brought her closer to the mansion’s locker room, the place where every key to the sprawling Dominic estate was kept. The room was massive, needed to hold the hundreds of keys for every locked door, gate, and storehouse. If it weren’t for Nina, she would have never known exactly where it was. She had spent days sweet-talking and coaxing the self-proclaimed “insider” until the girl finally let it slip. Gabrielle had lost count of how many lies she told to make Nina talk.
