The doctor's words kept ringing in her ears. Nadine cried in solitude, she was afraid of the possibilities she would have to face next.
"We'll be safe, honey. I'll save you and please be a good girl so I'll be safe too."
She was stressed, this pregnancy made her think more and more.
"What did you talk to my wife about?" Charlie asked angrily at his trusted obstetrician.
"Just warn her so she takes good care of her womb."
"You are an obstetrician, you should encourage her during her pregnancy, not scare her by telling her the possibility that Nadine will die in childbirth."
The doctor lowered his head, regretting what he had said to his master's wife.
"S-sir I'm sorry."
"Thank you for helping Nadine check her womb all this time, tomorrow I will move to another doctor who is more professional."
And a pile of money Charlie gave to the doctor.
"But the fact is that your current wife's pregnancy is more risky, sir. Did you forget?" the doctor said before Charlie left the room.

"You're not in college?" Charlie asked, surprised by his wife still curled up in the blanket in the morning.
"Charlie, I want to quit college."

"I don't want to go to college."
"Alright, I'll take care of it, let's get up and let's cook something for me."
Nadine, who heard the order, actually lifted the blanket up high until her body was covered.
"You're just cooking, Nadine."
"No, I'm afraid."
"You are really irresponsible to be a wife."
It wasn't a rebuttal that Nadine sent to reply to Charlie, but a cry under the blanket.
It's useless for Nadine to cover it up, Charlie knows everything, her husband knows that Nadine is just a fragile woman.
Charlie was a little sorry for getting a baby pregnant.
"Charlie, I really love you, I don't want to leave you. I want to abort this baby."
Right now, what Nadine needed was support, no matter how Charlie had contributed to Nadine's pregnancy.
It would be a lie if Charlie wasn't worried.
On the one hand he knows the risks of Nadine's pregnancy, while on the other hand he is also waiting for the arrival of his baby.
"Nothing will happen as long as I'm with you."
Charlie pulled the blanket aside, pulled Nadine into his arms, letting her lean back.
"I know it's hard, I believe we can get through it together. Remember, only seven months to go."
Nadine nodded though still sobbing.
"I don't want to die."
"I don't want to lose you either, honey."
Nadine warmed, her heart felt calm. It was the first time Charlie had made a love call for her, but her little brain was only processing that it was all possible because Charlie was trying to cheer her up.
The smile faded.
"I'm hungry, you don't want to cook?"
"I'm afraid."
"Do you want poisoning if I cook? You have to eat too."
"Just order some food, yeah yeah yeah."
Charlie was right, of course Nadine would never let Charlie touch her kitchen.
And Nadine seems to have to remember that Charlie doesn't know how to order food on a cell phone in these sophisticated times.

Mina again.
"What do you want?" Nadine asked loudly at the woman she labeled as lowly when she came back to his apartment.
There was no response from Mina, Nadine was annoyed.
"Just tell me what you want? If you're looking for Charlie, he works until the afternoon. Get lost."
Almost Nadine closed the door, Mina pulled Nadine's arm to prevent it.
"Nadine...."
"Tsk. Tell me straight, what do you want?"
"I-I just wanted to apologize."
"Come on, go, I've forgiven you."
"Th-it's not what you think," Mina said, preventing Nadine from closing the door again.
"I-I felt guilty for kissing Charlie that time. I-I, I just wanted to, umm that was the last time."
Nadine who is basically a person who can't bear to let Mina in, "Damn you make me curious. Come on in and tell me everything."
Mina complied and followed Nadine after being invited into her apartment.
"Sit down, I'm too lazy to entertain you because you weren't an invited guest."
Mina then sat in front of Nadine. Nadine could see that the woman was nervous while playing with her fingers. Even her words stuttered.
Nadine feels cool because she has succeeded in being a fierce person here.
"You know, I'm Charlie's ex. I dumped him."
"You i***t," Nadine sneered.
"I know."
"You're so stupid for dumping someone as handsome and rich as Charlie."
"I apologize."
"But I'm grateful that you dumped him, he's my husband now."
Mina was silent, Nadine was right, she was an i***t and she regretted it.
"I'm sorry, really. I-actually still love Charlie."
Nadine can clearly read the look on her face, Mina wants Charlie back by her side no matter what status she has.
"That kiss, because I missed him so much. But Charlie turned me down. I came here to talk to you, Nadine."
"I know what you're going to talk about, umm not more like asking."
Mina took Nadine's hand then "Can you share Charlie for me?"
Nadine chuckled because her guess was right, "I'm not as perfect as you, Mina, but don't compare me to a pathetic person who would just give up the person he loves for someone else."
"Nadine...."
"It's your own fault why you dumped her. I won't."
Mina sheds tears, but really Nadine will not be affected.
"I'm pregnant with Charlie's child."
Mina's grip was released. Nadine was a bit surprised by what Mina said, but maybe it was just an alibi.
"I don't care whose child you are pregnant with, I would never give up Charlie for a b***h like you."
Mina wiped her tears and smirked "Do you know Nadine why Charlie suddenly married you when you two didn't know much?"
Nadine didn't know, but she couldn't look stupid in front of Mina, "Of course I know. I know everything."
"So you also know that Charlie still loves me and only makes you an outlet?"
Nadine feels like hitting Mina right now.
"Listen, Kang Mina. I don't care if I'm Charlie's vent or not, at least I'm not the one you left when Charlie needed me."
Nadine stared at Mina blankly, "If you intend to destroy my household, of course I dare to destroy your life."
"Whether the child you are carrying is Charlie's child or not, you are nothing Charlie and I never felt sorry for you," continued Nadine.
There was pain when Nadine said those harsh words, but it can't be helped, Nadine is not a weak woman who wants to share a loved one. Charlie is hers, without Charlie maybe her life wouldn't be like this.
"Okay Nadine, I'm leaving. Please take good care of Charlie, don't you ever leave him like I did."

"It's a shame you haven't turned on the light yet."
Charlie was bewildered, no welcome chatter as usual.
"Nadine?"
No reply.
"Nadine?"
Charlie looked around for Nadine's whereabouts.
Until,,
Charliewho had just arrived at the apartment, was shocked when he saw Nadine unconscious in the kitchen.
"Nadine!"
Charlie saw the blood keep flowing from Nadine's leg, he really panicked.
"Good grief!"
And Charlie was very surprised when he was about to lift Nadine's body, he saw the drops of medicine falling from the palm of his little sun's hand.
