Edward looked at Kyla with an expression that was hard to interpret mixture of firmness and concern. His voice was low but firm as he said,
"I can't lie that I have a plan behind all of this. But trust me, I won't do anything to harm you. I promise."
Kyla looked at Edward doubtfully. Her lips parted slightly as if she wanted to ask further questions, but she refrained.
Edward continued, "For now, just enjoy the great thing that happened to you. You deserve it. But there's one more thing you should know." He paused for a moment, allowing his words to receive Kyla's full attention. "If at any time you feel like someone is following you, don't be afraid. It's me. I just want to make sure you're safe."
