Chapter 10 - Efa White

623 Words
“All legend’s ring with truth, granted you have lived centuries and have seen the world changed for the better and the worst, but that still does not account for your death, well I didn’t see anything that stated you had died or even decided to live in that realm. All my knowledge I have gathered is actually from the pack library that no one really uses. I noticed when I started going there everything was covered in dust and mould.”   “You see I was never actually allowed to go to school, apparently an education would have been a waste of resources and money if I went, so I was made to do everything at home including using the library on my small breaks, but I would often sneak books back to my room or would spend most nights up in the library reading about everything I could from our history, civil wars, species wars, etc.”   “There was this one book though, that was a very interesting book if I do say so myself, I have brought it with me, it felt like it belonged to me or with me like something was calling me to it”   “Hmm, I see you are a very dedicated, talented, educated woman,”.     “You will have to show me this book once you have gotten yourself settled in, here let me take that for you, and I will show you to your room.”   “follow me.”  Efa said quite cheerfully.    As we move back towards the inner hallway that leads back towards the staircase, I can't help but wonder in joy at the magnificent masterpiece that this house beholds.   I am led to a massive master bedroom with the same bay windows from downstairs, with blush coloured curtains, a four-poster king-sized bed in the middle facing horizontally from the window, in the corner of the room sits a macrame style swing seat, a small two-seater sofa, a bookshelf and a 30’’ flat screen tv, there's a door that directly opposite the bed, I assume leads to the bathroom and closet, as I walk more into the room I notice that the bay windows are also used as doors that lead out onto a balcony with a seating area for two.     “WAW ''   I can't help saying while staring out at the view, it’s so spectacular that it looks like some fairy-tale the humans would tell stories about, especially woods this fantastic being so close to the shoreline.    I start to go and check out the bathroom after soaking in the last of the sun rays, with a content sigh, I move to open the door, that I originally assumed would be the bathroom, but once it’s open, there’s a large walk-in wardrobe in front of me, with a large round cushioned pouffe, in the middle a long mirror at the back, rows upon rows of clothing, there is also a spinning stand to hold shoes.    I move to the open door and walk into the bathroom to find a basin and mirror, a toilet next to it, a large window at the back, with a massive tub directly in front of it, perfect for gazing out of, and a shower cubicle with a rainfall style shower head.   “Amazing”, I say before going back into the wardrobe, to get myself ready for bed.   “I will definitely have an amazing night's sleep”. I say while gazing at the massive bed.   I woke the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day head-on. Excited to meet my darling wolf.
