**Lizzy’s POV**
I spent the rest of the morning fighting myself.
Resign on the first day… or stay and face the man who had already f****d my throat in a wedding dress and my p***y in a dark room.
I chose to stay.
I walked straight to my desk, picked up the files, and pretended I understood any of them. Every time I looked up, Freddy’s eyes were already on me. The silent staring contest made my skin feel too tight. I kept willing the clock to move faster.
The phone on my desk rang.
“Make me a coffee.”
That was all. Then the line went dead.
I stood and walked to the coffee room. Clara was already there.
“It must be hard working for him,” she said, giving my back a light pat. “Hang in there.”
I forced a small smile, fixed the coffee exactly the way the previous notes said he liked it, and carried the cup back to his office.
The moment I stepped inside, Freddy rose and closed the blinds.
My pulse jumped.
He took the cup from my hands, set it on the desk, and closed the remaining distance between us in two steps. His mouth found my neck first—open, hot, deliberate. One hand locked around my waist and dragged me backward until my spine hit the wall hard enough to knock the breath out of me.
I shoved at his chest.
“Don’t you ever get enough?”
He looked down at me, eyes dark.
“I don’t. You made me this way.”
His hand slid up and closed around my throat—firm, not choking—while the other lifted me higher against the wall. This time the movement was slower, more controlled. He dragged the neckline of my dress down with his teeth and took my breast into his mouth. The suction was rough. His tongue circled the n****e before he bit down just hard enough to make my hips jerk. A broken sound slipped out of me before I could stop it.
I hated how wet I already was.
“Stay away from me,” I whispered, even as my fingers twisted in his shirt.
He released my breast with a wet sound and stepped back just enough to look me in the eye.
“Wait for me after work.”
Then he turned away like nothing had happened.
I fixed my dress with shaking hands and left the office. My heart was still slamming against my ribs. I already knew this job was going to destroy me if I let it. If I wanted to survive here, I had to learn how to keep him at a distance—and how to keep my own body from betraying me every time he touched me.
I was so deep in that thought I barely heard the closing bell.
I grabbed my bag and walked out.

**Freddy’s POV**
I never expected to see her again.
“She’s still as good as the first day,” I muttered, a smirk pulling at my mouth.
I picked up my bag and keys and left the office.
On the way home I stopped at the mall for a few things. Near the entrance I caught sight of a familiar figure and called out without thinking.
“Hey—excuse me.”
The woman turned.
Lizzy.
I froze for half a second.
“Sorry. Thought you were someone else.”
She stared at me, expression unreadable, then turned and walked away.
I stood there longer than I should have.
“I’m losing it,” I muttered under my breath, and left.
At home I showered, cooked a simple dinner, and tried to settle. The apartment was quiet. I hadn’t called any of the usual women tonight. I wanted the silence.
Then came the knock.
Three slow, deliberate raps on the front door.
I wasn’t expecting anyone.
I walked to the door and opened it.
Standing right in front of me was…
