Foreword
Iron Cross is an anthology formed by the novels Blood Runes and The Agartha Star, which despite occurring in different historical environments and having different plots, share not only the genre belonging to the romantic suspense of origin historical, but also some of their characters and an internal thin red thread that connects them. Indeed in the two works play a determining role characters belonging to an international virtual community called Iron Cross, which have in common the possession of arcane and exo and esoteric knowledge, largely forgotten, which are put into play to solve the intricate mysteries this community tackles.
Both novels can be read completely independently and in any sequence. I have chosen to present them together in this book in the order in which they were written.
Although sometimes associated with decorations granted during the Nazi period and World War II, the Iron Cross or Black Cross is much older and was the symbol of the Order of the Teutonic Knights, contemporaries of the Knights Templar and Hospitaller during the Crusades to the Holy Land, and later in the wars waged by the Teutons in Eastern Europe. The modern design was created by order of King Frederick William III of Prussia in 1813, on the occasion of the Napoleonic wars.
Good reading.
