Lothar von Steinfurt left the office to which he was assigned, descended the broad marble stairs and headed for the entrance. Passing a mirror he took a brief look and saw that his uniform was in order. When he reached the door the visitor whom he was about to receive was entering the building accompanied by a SS noncommissioned officer.
“Welcome to Wewelsburg.” Said Lothar to the visitor after making the Nazi salute at arm's length.
“Thanks for the reception.” Answered the visitor with a strong Scandinavian accent.” The SS NCO handed him a heavy suitcase that Lothar hurriedly lifted. Then he told the newcomer. “Follow me please.”
