"Y-you, bastard...!" The poser soldier spat, bitterly, clenching his jaws and lowering his 45 caliber automatic pistol shakily before looking down at his stomach with the katana stuck in it. "Shit." He cursed with the little energy he could feel while looking on with dread at his blood slowly travelling down the blade and dripping from Tatsumi's hand to the floor. "Shit..."
The possessed teen slowly began to remove his katana, staring into the man's eyes with a wicked smile painted on his face, with his eyes flickering from bright red to black momentarily as he took what felt like an eternity to remove the katana, holding back a chuckle as his eyes were filled with glee, Tatsumi took pleasure in knowing that each moment provided more anguish for the man, who was paralysed in fear at seeing what only Tatsumi could see at that moment; His soul being slowly sucked into the blade of the katana.
"Tat..su... Tatsumi!!" Shouted a shock-struck Yukiyo finally getting up after witnessing everything and losing her strength, she dragged him away from the man, causing him to stumble backwards and shake his head in shock, realising that he had in fact given Ravana her desire; she had demanded it and he had given it to her, and in return she had granted him more speed than humanly possible, but then he saw the blood and became encased with regret and then there was the fog that he was seeing flowing from the man's body as well, he didn't know what that was but he couldn't imagine it meant anything good.
Even with the katana removed, the man was still being drained of all his essence, and then finally, after he'd been completely sucked dry, his eyes rolled over and his skin became instantaneously pale while he fell stiff as a log to the floor it was horrifying, his blood had dried to dust along with his organs and bones, he practically deflated as he fell, releasing a big puff of dust from his opened mouth.
"What the f**k?" Tatsumi placed his bloodied hand over his face, and remained in that position with Yukiyo holding on to him before his frown turned into a smile and the smile into a sinister grin. "What the f**k just happened... Ravana?" He asked out loud. "Look at what you made me do.." Tatsumi smiled, directing his statement to the being haunting his mind he wanted to stop smiling, but the feeling of satisfaction the demon was pouring out into him made doing so impossible.
Then sheathing the bloodied katana, he was distracted by Yukiyo trying to remove his shirt with Mai's help, both of them were being frantic about it, something that confused him greatly, causing the smile on his face to finally fade into a frown.
"What the hell are you doing?" He snapped at them, pulling himself away before feeling a burning pain hit his chest, then surprised and overwhelmed by the sudden pain, he shook and fell to his knees grabbing the wound and choking up blood; it was then that he realized that something was very wrong.
"Don't touch me!" He growled at them, looking at his blood with terrible confusion. "How's this happening?" He asked as the girls ignored him and tried pulling his shirt off anyway, but he was able to find what he sought before they did. "I was shot... I, was, shot?" He asked even more confused as he began coughing up more blood. "H-How c-couldn't I have noticed?" He questioned himself, cursing and falling into a state of misery as the pain made him shake as a chill swept through his entire body. "Ravana, why is this happening?" He asked in a whisper gasping and sweating before falling to his side, as he slowly lost consciousness. "Answer me... I thought you were gonna try and protect me from something like this." He grumbled as he almost choked on his tongue. "C'mon, say something!"
"Tatsumi, who are you talking to... n-no nevermind that, just try to get back up!" He heard both Yukiyo shout in unison, and then he heard another adult voice yell; "what the hell's going on here?!" and then Yukiyo's voice again shouting his name as his blood seeped from his wound and covered his torso.
At that point, all he couod see were blurry colours moving about and all he can feel, was the bullet; lodged in his heart.
"What did you think would happen?" His resident complained." You took too long, but you needn't worry about your friends, I will take care of the rest." Ravana spoke to him, and with that, everything went black, to think he'd be reborn to be shot by a measly scumbag and die like this; Tatsumi was regretful once again, dying a crappy death twice was pure bullshit.
The bloody evening turned to night, and the caravan turned off all their lights to let the natural light of the moon adjust their vision to see more than what a flashlight would allow.
"You there, get out and help me." The replacement soldier broke the silence that had overtaken the truck, pointing at Teru and gesturing to Tatsumi's body laid beside the dead soldier, soon after Teru stood, strong winds began blowing against the caravan, and in what seemed like minutes the light of the moon was hidden by a thick girl of rainclouds forcing the men to use their lights, and those clouds began rumbling shortly after that as well, unleashing an endless barrage of neon strips across the sky before a downpour washed over them, soaking the cursed earth.
"You... you're not serious... are you?" Teru cried tears of disbelief, not even able to look at Tatsumi." You killed him, and now you want... me, to help put my f*****g friend in the ground-you can't be f*****g serious can you?!" He cried even harder. "f**k you man, go f*****g kill yourself." He spat at the man's feet hatefully, swallowing his sorrow and hugging his knees.
The man stepped up into the truck, pulling Teru out of his seat and dragging him into the rain.
"It wasn't a request kid, we need to get these bodies ready as bait, I'm sorry it was your buddy that got the s**t shot out of him, but I'm not gonna apologise for what that dickhead did." he pointed with his gun, gesturing to the dead uniformed man. "He totally had it coming with that short temper of his, but his beliefs are mine as well, heck, all of us here want this, I might end up dying soon too, so I wanna leave something of myself too, like any other guy, I just want some p***y, I mean, that's what we were made to do after all; f**k and make babies." He finished, pulling the dead man out by one leg and dragging him across the mud into the rain. "So, you gonna help me out or what?" He asked Teru rather nicely.
"…I'll help, but, the girls are leaving with me when we're done." He replied to the man, grabbing hold of a leg and looking away while the man turned on a silent electric saw and began cutting off the corpse's leg from the hip joint.
"Kid, I really would help you out, but I'm not the one in charge, if you want your girls, you'll have to talk to Scar, and I really wouldn't recommend you do that, you'll do best to just join us and keep low for a while, that's the only way you're gonna keep those two beauties, if he doesn't take them." The man looked at Teru as stale blood splashed across his face.
"I'm in no condition to take up arms..." Teru looked down at his shaking hand. "I can barely swing a damn stick right now..." He began cursing his weakness.
He'd always been the best at everything, and he had even been able to beat Tatsumi, when nobody else could, he was his own version of an apex, to be driven down this low, he felt like the ending world had cursed him.
A few minutes passed with them de-jointing the corpse and putting it on strings and rope's that they could swing to toss it. "How exactly does this bait work?" Teru asked, getting a little too comfortable with the situation he was in already.
"Before we leave, we'll throw them out in every direction to confuse the monsters and make it harder to find us, after all, they eat people, so the smell of blood is gonna draw them toward the source, god knows I don't wanna be eaten by one of those..." the man replies.
"We call them Akugami, that's the name that..." Teru paused for a second and took a long ragged breath. "It's the name that Tatsumi gave them."
"Your friend was smart, and by no means does the name not fit, they really are chaotic bastards, the name just seems to fit, where they go, death follows, and where people die, they gather, evil gods is exactly what they are, because heaven knows those things aren't animals, and the radio said they were terrestrial too, so they're not some f*****g alien species, what a f*****g s**t show they've caused..." The man replied, looking around at the small protected camp they'd set up.
"My name's Han by the way." Greeted Teru anew, with a smile, lifting his hat and giving Teru a good look at his unshaved face, but Teru kept a straight face while telling him his name, not at all pleased at how they had come to be prospective friends.
"I know you've realised we aren't soldiers by now, so imma just be honest h-"
"WHAT THE HELL, WHERE'D HE GO!?" Both of them hear, and throwing their gazes up to see what the problem was... The man who had shouted pointed his gun into the truck of women sneering and panicked.
"Where the hell's the other body, Where are you hiding him!?" He shouted at them stepping back and looking under the truck. "Where the hell'd he go?" He asked panicking. "I know I f*****g saw him right there a minute ago, is this isn't the time to be horsing around you motherf-" He bit his lip and turned and began searching again.
Mai and Yukiyo hadn't stooped crying since the incident, and the constant flashing of lightning and the added rainfall had everyone too distracted, nobody saw the moment Tatsumi vanished, nobody knew what had happened.
Han and Teru quickly finished what they were doing, running to the scene and becoming equally awestruck at Tatsumi's disappearance.
"Y-You bitches, we need that body for bait, what'd you do with it!?" The man criedbout angrily, holding the shaking semi-automatic machine gun and pointing it at them again. "Who moved him?!" He screeched, he seemed more terrified than angry, and having been so loud and alerting, he attracted the attention of the rest of the encampment.
A minute passed with everyone looking around, and in this time the rainfall lessened in intensity while the howling winds threw the droplets from side to side beating them against everyone in it fiercely, rain water trickled down their bodies and added to the almost 3 inch high mass of water on the ground for miles around, it was a seriously ridiculous amount of rain for just an hour.
Teru stood in the truck, crying his eyes out at the fact that Tatsumi was gone, both dead and otherwise, he was still unable to come to grips with it, with his death first, and then his body vanishing into thin air apparently, he'd asked the girls, but they were even more shaken than before, their only response was even more bawling.
"You humans..... Disgust me." Everyone heard a girl's rasp voice echo through their heads, and with the angry rasp came a cold wind that betrayed down to their bones, in an instant multiple men raised their weapons defensively, looking around for a target to fill with holes.
"Treating your fellow human like cattle." She spoke angrily again.
"Show yourself you damn b***h!" The same man that seemed fond of shouting exclaimed again: seconds later, they all hear a thud where the man was standing, and, looking at his direction, they snapped into shock when thwley saw a headless body on the ground, shaking like a chicken from having its head suddenly chopped off.
"Wha-Da-f**k!?" Another man shouted, scared as hell at seeing two red glows in the dark of the night, without hesitation, he instantly opened fire at whatever he'd seen but the lights vanished before his first shot could hit his target, and when the others turned the flashlights there, it was another one of them that had been killed instead.
"You moron, you killed Kirby!!" A tall man shouted angrily at the panicking man, taking the gun from the frightened man.
"No Th-that wasn't Kirby man, you should've seen them, those eyes, I know what I saw, that wasn't f*****g Kirby just now, that was a motherfu-" he suddenly stopped hyperventilating, grabbing his throat and falling to his knees as his eyes rolled back in his head.
"H-hey.. Marlin, Wh-wh-" the tall man started but suddenly went silent as well, soon after his silence, blood erupted from both their necks in sprays and they both fell over on their faces, drowning in the gathered rainwater while paralysed and shaking.
At that moment, fear struck the hearts of all the other men and they started haphazardly firing into the night.
"I wasn't at all objective of the sodomy and sins you were planning on commiting." Ravana spoke again, causing even more fear to capture them. "In truth, I was even looking forward to the women screaming as you had your ways with them in likely endless waves of lust..." She hissed, causing some of the men to turn in every direction while the ones who recognised the sound was coming from their heads dripped their guns and held their heads instead.
"However." She spoke even clearer. "For no reason at all, you had to spoil all my fun, first critically wounding my human, and then having the nerve to even think of butchering him."
"What the f**k is going on here!?" A man shouted in midst of the confusion, sporting a black camo uniform and a very large scar across his forehead, trailing down to his neck and down his clothes, his dark cold eyes beamed with authority and his purely bald head made him look like a very bad comic cliche, especially with his overcoat and his eyepatch.
"What the f**k are you shooting at, Morons, wasting ammo and giving away our position to the monsters?!" He shouted again, punching one of the men to the ground and flexing his broad shoulders.
" Care to explain?" He asked coldly to another as he prepared to punch him unconscious like the first.
The man; although soaked in torrential downpour seemed to piss himself before responding weakly; "Scar, s-sir, something's out there, it's already killed three of our men!" The frightened man replied.
"...So you've decided to shoot at something you can't see!?" Scar snapped, but then he went silent and shook. All in that one question that the leader had asked, every one of the men; excluding Han and Teru, had fallen headless to the ground.
"What the f-" the boss stopped, clenching his teeth and wheezing out blood and spit from his teeth, seeing the previously preported dead teenager with his katana before him, with his hand piercing his gut.
The blood oozed from the messily ripped wound, and Scar's back was turned to the truck, which meant, Tatsumi's bright scarlet eyes, were in full display for everyone.
"Tat-su-mi?" Yukiyo stuttered, frightened and happy all at once, taking unconscious steps toward him.
"You, this is all your fault, all of this from spoiling my fun on that field, to inadvertently harming my Tatsumi, you... I want to suffer the most!" Ravana spoke as a legion through Tatsumi, twisting his hand within the man's abdomen and bringing him to his knees while he was shouting out in excruciating pain.
"I want you to suffer, Scar, In the most primitive ways I can imagine, you filthy little-how dare you?" She screamed at the man, manipulating Tatsumi's hand to tear more organs. "I want you to feel more than the pain you've put him through!" She stopped as a maniacal grin crossed Tatsumi's face. "All while knowing f*****g well that no matter what i do, you won't die until i command you to!!" For word shouted, Ravana released another stab in another vital point from the katana, each stab ten times more painful than the last, grinning innocently while doing it.
"Tatsumi!!" Yukiyo yelled, crying and running into him, grabbing him in a hug as if completely oblivious to the horror that everyone else has been witnessing, and in turn causing him to release the screaming man.
"Damn, this girl is annoying." Ravana sighed, fully releasing the suffering man and granting him a swift headless death before she recalled her consciousness from the surface.
"Yukiyo?" Tatsumi called confused, looking at her face stuffed into his neck while his eyes returned to normal, he didn't fail to realise Mai's and Teru's shocked faces either, he couldn't remember much, but he thought he'd just fainted after a flesh wound.
"Please, Don't ever leave me again!!" She cried harder, hugging him tighter, he mentally noted the c*****e around him feeling the last of the man's blood wash away from his hand with the rainfall, it took him a moment, but he eventually remembered what Ravana has said before he lost consciousness, and he found it extremely strange to even wake up while standing in the first place, but he wasnt too shocked about that because of what he was looking at.
“So, this is how a demon handles things?” He questioned in his mind before opening his mouth and speaking. "Yukiyo, I'm sorry." Tatsumi raised his hand and caressed her hair. "I'm sorry."
For something close to seven minutes. There had been gunshots, screams, and a whole lot of blood spilling.
The results were just as Han had explained with to Teru, and there the true nightmare began when giant violent roots of lightning dashed across the sky, bringing light to the ground for miles, and as far as the eye could see in almost every direction, there were Akugami, thousands of them that had been attracted by the alluring scent of death in the air, and guided by the call of almost three dozen fresh corpses, all in one area no less.
Death attracts Akugami, and wherever the Akugami are, more death will follow.
"Holy-"
All roads and routes had been cut off by the dense forest of monsters, and with the men all dead, there was only Tatsumi, Yukiyo, Teru, Mai, Han, and a truck full of otherwise useless women by the looks of it.
" -Shit."
