Chapter 3: Mr. Romeo

Grace's pov

"Hello love, can I ask you why are you glowing so bright this morning" amar asked me. Blushing at his words I gave him a shy smile, hiding my face in his chest I whispered, "Maybe it's because I found someone I love". Smiling at my words he pulled me closer in his warm embrace.

"Love, I can't tell you how lucky I'm to have someone like you to love me this much" he mumbled. In reality, I'm lucky person to have someone like Amar in my life as my soulmate.

Love was the last thing on my mind when I agreed to take an overnight babysitting job to help, supporting my family to collect money for buying this place. But when I met Amar that night I knew my life wasn't going to be same anymore.

Amar was my senior in school times, being the popular kid in the school he was the usual arrogant boy with looks to die for, every girl dreamed about him. And being a player, he was happy with the attention he was receiving from female population.

Being a center of attention, he was also a trouble attracting problems. As we grew up he became a typical bad boy with drug and alcohol addiction.

He's a doctor and due to which he had an easy access to drugs. But since he was a richy rich kid, he was always rescued out from the troubles.

The night I met him is still fresh in my mind. I was assigned to babysit his younger sister Aria, which I presumed was a spoiled rich princess but turns out she was such a sweetheart that I melted at the first meet with her. She's such a polite and kind little girl that I thought it was very easy job for me to handle her.

But then my life took a 180 degrees turn when Amar crashed in my life. He was drunk as hell when I first met him, with the help of his sister, I was able to carry him till his room to drop him on bed in his unconscious state.

The fresh bruises and cuts on his face and fists, didn't lessen his beauty. When applying medicine on his bruises, I studied his facial features and for the first time I found him so attractive.

I didn't knew when I started observing his face, from the old faded bruises to the newly fresh cuts, his face told many untold stories. Leaning towards his face when I applied medicine on his busted bleeding lips, he opened his dark eyes which shine with a different glow in the rays of light falling from the moon.

We kept staring each other, his eyes hypnotized me, I was not able to shift my eyes from him. We were looking at each other, uncovering each others soul and looking for the pieces we both earned for. I found my warmth in him and he found his peace in me.

He was a mess when I first met him but now he's more of a stable and better person from before. They say love changes you, and after meeting Amar I realized that love really changes you either for good or for the worst.

Pulling apart his facial expressions changed, knowing him more better than himself I knew their was something he wanted to say but was resisting it. Resting my hand on his cheek I assured him and encouraged him to speak his mind.

"Love, last night I smoked weed... I... I...wasn't able to stop myself... The urge was so strong that I gave in... I... I'm sorry, I failed you... " he poured it out.

He watched me silently, trying to decipher the thoughts that brewed chaos in my mind. His tensed thoughts waited for my response.

Grabbing his hand I put my hand on top of his and pressed them together assuring him that I'm not disappointed in him. Pulling him closer I pecked him on his cheeks.

The worry lines on Amar's forehead straightened slightly as he pulled me to him. He rested his head against mine and sighed.

"I'm not disappointed in you, Amar," I whispered whilst cupping his face and drilling my words into him with a tender kiss. "I'm not going to walk away just because the darkness in you wishes to come out. I know you won't do it deliberately and you need time to get over those addictions. All you need to know is that I won't leave you. Ever."

We've worked very hard to get over his addictions, I've come so far and now I won't give up on him. He was always insecure about his past, thinking I would leave him for it. I know he has a spirit to overcome his darkness and I'm always going to hold on that.

He pulled me closer for a kiss which was beginning to burst butterflies in me whole when a clearing of a throat forced us to seek the source behind me. Grey, of course.

"Still making out, I see," she remarked with a sly smile.

"Still being a b***h, I see," Amar retorted back with a playfull smile.

"Can you stop your goochie-goochie romance for a moment please Gracy and of course Mr. Romeo! " she spoke up with more serious tone now.

Nodding her to continue we made ourselves comfortable on the couch in the empty hall. Most of the work is completed we just need to brush out our outfits and then they are ready to pull out for sale.

Settling down I nodded grey to continue, her face clearly showed worry making me a bit tensed. Grey is never a person who worries about minor things.

"Mom's going to give up this place for some business man who claims our property" she announced out aloud. It took me a while to settle down her words. I thought, I misunderstood her words but when Amar gasped at her words it made me sure I heard it right.

"Rey, you know right mom's not a person to give up easily. How come you think such s**t?" I argued back.

This place is our dream, we've worked very hard for this place, I can't believe mom will give up this dream.

"What do you think of me? A fool?" she asked, "well, no doubt in that thought" Amar replied back playfully earning a heated glare from Grey.

"Can you shut up your useless mouth for a while Mr. Romeo?" she asked in a strick tone, folding her hands on her chest. "Nope!" he replied back suppressing his laugh.

Uhh! Why do they have to be like kids? They really can't stand each other, I facepalmed myself at their pointless silly bickering.

"Guys stop it! Let's get back to what we have been discussing," I shouted on the two grownups who were behaving like childrens right now.

"First you tell Mr. Romeo here to behave like a grown man" she argued back, "Are you for real Miss. Estella? The only child here is you!" he defended himself.

"I swear to God if you guys keep bickering I'll ask uncle Maze to kick some senses in both of your brains" I shouted back. Handling these two is really worst than handling a toddler.

After a while of their bickering they finally thought to settle down.

"As I was saying before, I was eavesdropping when mom announced to give up this place to some asshole buisness man" she admitted proudly. "Really you've started eavesdropping on people Grey?" I retorted.

"Seriously Gracy all you go from my speech was this? Oh God! Gracy not everyone is as saint as you!", she responded back.

"You never listen to any of my advice, all I would want is your betterment Grey. If you keep ignoring me and my advices like this, then one day when you'll really need my advice I won't be around you to give it!" I exclaimed.

"Don't start with your threats, it won't work on me big sissy!" she retorted back. It's clearly waste of my time and energy to teach her anything sane.

"Guys! We were talking about Lia aunty, let's get back to our actual issues right now" Amar interfered in between our bickering.

"Yeah so as I was saying mommy really told those men that she's ready to give up this place! THIS PLACE! OUR DREAM! I can't let this happen" Grey said getting all serious once again.

"Who's that business man again? Who's claiming our property? Did you heard his name?" I asked her with curiosity.

Giving me a sly smile she asked, "now who's excited to listen all the gossip huh! What about your lecture on eavesdropping Gracy?", really this girl is out of my reach.

"Estella, not again! Just answer Grace" Amar spoke up clearly getting fueled up with constant bickering.

"Okay Mr. Romeo, no need to get all protective for your girl. And answering your questions then nope I didn't heard anything which would help us to find him", she replied back. "But I got one catch which might help us" she whispered.

"I heard them whispering that he's a very dangerous person and is someone related with A'company" she stated.

"A'company? I know about it" Amar spoke up, turning towards me he asked, "Love, you remember? I've mentioned you about my dad being friends with the CEO of a company who's also a drug dealer?"

"Yeah! I remember, you used to get your stuff from his mens" I answered back. "Yes, and the drug dealer was none other than the CEO of A'company!" he stated.

"Guys you can't go around and mess with him, he's a very dangerous man", he replied with tension surfing on his face.

"If we go legally against him, then he won't be able to harm us. As you said he's a CEO of A'company and which is why he won't risk to spoil his image in front of government" I spoke up.

Continuing myself, I added "If we send a legal notice to him or maybe if we complain against him to police then he might want to settle down things in a cool manner, also we can ask police officer to hide our identity" and with that, I completed my statement.

"Love, are you sure it's safe option?" Amar asked me with concern. "Babe you know we are not rich people like you and government and legal procedure is the only way for us and trust me it's safe".

I assured him that what I planned on to do was the only good way we could sort out this issue.

"I feel like badass right now!" Grey giggled with enthusiasm. She was always fond of getting involved in troubles and problems. Whenever I ask her why she do that, she replies with only one answer, 'it makes me feel alive'

She can be such a native girl sometimes, her thinking is always rational and furious. I hope she get a bit mature with upcoming time.

I always believe to follow the legal path, after all police is there to protect us from any harm. And I don't think that business man will argue back with us, if we take help of police officers then he might realize his mistake and will leave our property. After all he's a human being, he can't be that bad.

I wish I was not such native, that step changed my life...
