(Trigger warning: Bullying scene ahead!)
Violet dashed inside the restroom and stopped before the sink. She clutched its edges, her knuckles whitening with strain, as she watched her tear-smothered, red and swollen face. Her lips trembled. She pressed them together as a loud agonized cry rumbled in the back of her throat.
She wished for death. That would be a thousand times better than this humiliation. Her mind went back to the sitting area in the coffee shop. The hateful remarks, the dark glares and scorns hoed their way into her mind, making her lean on the sink and cry her heart out louder.
"WHY ME? What have I done to get this?" Violet hollered in a hoarse voice.
