She squeaked and scrambled away.
"You... No! No! Get away from me." She panicked.
"Hey, don't fret. I'm not going to hurt you."
"No... Get away. Don't come near me. I don't..." Violet crawled away on her hands and knees.
This was one of those warriors who had tried to get their ways with her. This one had once held her against a tree in the middle of the night (when she was taking a stroll since she couldn't sleep) and touched her down there. Violet had somehow escaped his clutches but she was completely alone now.
She hid behind a tree and whimpered loudly. Those thoughts returned to her— Why did I come downstairs? I should have stayed in my room.
