38 Violet's POV The bus was polluted with ear-splitting chattering and laughter. Girls were dusting their faces with powder and the boys were attacking each other with guns made of their fingers. All that stopped the minute I entered through the door. Laughter died. Girls froze with half their face powdered and the other half looking pale. Boys had been caught in mid-motion, their guns dismantling as their fingers curled in an obvious show of disbelief.
