Alaric and Anna

The year starts with a pretty much different energy from the one that Alaric is used to and this is because it's a new grade, new subjects, new tasks and the need to be invited to this year's price giving ceremony. That's all that Alaric can think about, but he decides to do a completely different thing, one he barely did in his whole life.But he wants to do this personally and starts by counting the time to when the schools will reopen so that he can do this task of his.

Alaric had went to the countryside for the festive season and while there he mostly talked to Anna over the phone.They already had alot in common but some of the things they talked about just impressed Alaric. He started feeling the necessity to confess how he feels about Anna (how he thinks he feels about her) and after getting tired of all the waiting for schools to reopen, Alaric, who has no patience at all did the one thing everyone thinks is a sign of cowardness but he did not care as only his opinion about almost everything on Earth matters to him. He is very arrogant and narcissistic, his friends claim that he thinks the whole world revolves around him but he always answer them by saying that his own world revolves around him only and nobody else. Since well he couldn't really wait for the schools to reopen, he thought of calling Anna to confess his feelings and once he makes up his mind, then only he can stop himself and because this decision of his was only known by himself, he thought of doing It, regardless of the end result.

(Phone ringing, someone picks it up)

"Hi princess, hope the festive was good on you and that you're ready to go back to school and ready to met in" says Alaric in giggles.

"Well, let's see........................ ofcourse I'm eager to meet you and please tell me this is not the reason why you called me cause you've literally never called me since we knew each other, I mean you text and stuff but you've never called me so I guess it must be important eyy" says Anna.

Anna:"And ohh ....yeah..I...I....I....I hope you don't take it bad, I'm just surprised I mean hello, what happened to my friendship?"

Alaric got out of words and immediately hang-up the phone as now he didn't know what to say. Anna had gave him the nickname 'Friendship' and whenever he heard that name the only thing he could think about was that possibilities of Anna friendzoning him were very high, because he thought to himself that, that name had more than just one meaning to it.

" C'mon Alaric, if she calls you friendship then she's conveying alot of messages though that name, first thing first she's conveying the message that yes she considers you her friend, possibly even her bestfriend but again what if she knows about how you feel about her? She's indirectly telling you that you will only remain a friend in her life....That's.....That's....that's.....uhhhhhhh....now I'm stuck between what could be the truth or just a misconception.

You know what, I'm gonna do it, if she rejects me then I'll just say that I was intoxicated or something....damn, she knows that I hate alcohol. Now I don't know what to do." Alaric thinks.

After thinking for a very long time about what he can do, Alaric decided that it wouldn't hurt just telling Anna how he feels over the phone cause even if he gets rejected then he'll just pretend as if nothing happens when he goes back to school and for the second time, Alaric calls Anna and this time he makes the call and because he can be very manipulative he knew that should Anna ask certain questions then he'll be able to make her believe whatever he wants her to believe and confidently so, Alaric makes the call and after ringing a few times Anna answered.

Alaric:"Hii Anna, sorry bout the sudden call especially after hanging up earlier. But there was a little emergency that I had to take care of and now that it's all taken care of I thought of completing whatever I wanted to tell ..........you".

Anna:"I, uhm, I get what your saying but for some reason I feel like I might not like what your going to say but you know what say It, maybe it is something I've been eager to hear from you, so just say it".

Alaric:"I didn't know there was something you wanted me to tell you but whatever, that's not the reason why I called you so here goes nothing, Anna for the past months I developed a sudden crush on you and I think that I love you.I know it's stupid but that's how it is, I love you."

(Anna gets really shocked upon hearing this but decided to keep calm and respond to Alaric's statement after keeping quiet for atleast five minutes)

Anna:"Alaric look, I also love you but I thought you just saw me as a friend but now that we know how we feel about each other what were you suggesting we do, put a label to It? Are we now boyfriend and girlfriend?"

Alaric:"You could say that, I don't know if I'll be able to manage this relationship but I'll try my level best and I still can't believe that you and I are actually dating".

In giggles,Anna:"Don't overthink, everything will happen naturally when we meet and schools are reopening soon so atleast I'll be able to hear those words come out of your mouth face to face, but unfortunately I have to take care of something very quickly so bye boyfriend, I'll text you later."

Just after the call, Alaric starts asking himself as to what he just got himself into. He doesn't want to hurt Anna by cutting the relationship but then in two days time he has to be in school and he's definitely going to meet Anna, what's he going to do, how is he supposed to act upon seeing her. This are all thoughts running in Alaric's brain but he decided that maybe Anna was right, everything will happen naturally when they meet. After this Alaric waits for his father to come and pick him so that they could return to the city and so that he could prepare to go to a new grade and prepare all the things he's going to need for school.

2days later

Alaric wakes early in the morning and sets to go to school and meet his so-called new girlfriend. When Alaric gets to school he meets his friends and then after some time he decide to take a walk around the school alone, and while walking he meets up with Anna and with a resting b***h face, Alaric greets Anna who responds with a big smile. Alaric hardly laughs and even though he met with his girlfriend he didn't feel any necessity to smile. At the end of the day he did what he thought was necessary and that was to greet Anna.

Alaric returns to his friends and when they're all talking about girls they are planning on approaching, Alaric just stand in the corner and when they ask him if he has any particular girl in mind, he just responds with a big no and all the boys laugh, claiming he's pathetic and a disgrace to mankind. Alaric just look at them and just roll his eyes cause according to him, they're all just a bunch of Fools but unfortunately they happen to be his friends.

The only reason why Alaric consider them a bunch of Fools is because of the things they say and do, Alaric thinks logically and not by heart and again he believes there are many ways to enjoy one's teen years other than girls and partying which all his friends are against as they believe those are the only ways to enjoying one's teen years.

When the day ends Anna decide to call Alaric, but Alaric just responds to the call by putting it on silent mode, as he feels like this relationship is already too much for him to handle. He does not know why he's feeling like this but he prefers talking to Anna over the phone more than in person. And when he gets home he decides to text Anna and claim that his phone was on silent mode, hence he couldn't answer the call and being an understanding person, Anna believes his story and they start talking.

The following day, Alaric does the same thing to Anna, he greets her with an angry face and then ignores her for the whole day but after realising that Anna was kind of sad, he decides that he will ask Anna to walk with him after school just to catch up. After school Anna calls Alaric for them to take their walk, but Alaric decides to ignore the call and then go to his friends and after a long time they all decide to leave the school premises and when they get to the gate, Alaric realise that Anna is patiently waiting for him near the gate and the Alaric bids his friends goodbye and then start walking with Anna,accompanying her to her transport car.

While talking a walk there, Alaric starts the conversation and instead of talking about them, he decides to talk about random things and make jokes and completely ignores acknowledging their relationship, he just talk as if they're still friends and when they reach Anna's transport car, Alaric just look at her and then bid her goodbye but before as he turns and leave, Anna gives him a big hug and then Alaric leaves.

The following day Alaric starts ignoring Anna, and he did this till the last class which was Chemistry class. After chemistry class, Alaric talk to some girls and after realising that Anna is sadly looking at him, he just wink at her and then continue speaking to those girls and after talking to them he decides to go to Anna, to clear any thoughts of doubts because he was just talking about chemistry things with those girls.When he gets to Anna he hugs her from behind and then greet her and after this Anna's friend arrives and irratately so, Alaric leaves as he doesn't really like Anna's friends. He claim they have a negative energy and he has told this to Anna who just thought maybe he was playing.

Alaric leaves the school premises and when he gets to the gate, he find all his friends there and they tell him that a certain girl wishes to talk to him about some things and when he sees the girl they're talking about, he decides to hear her out because the girl was extremely pretty.

The girl pulls Alaric by the hand and takes him to a quiet place where she tells Alaric that she wishes to be his friend and also that whenever he sees her he should just call her so that they can talk and learn about each other. After their conversation the girl gives Alaric a big hug and then they all leave to their respective homes. When he reach home, Alaric gets the flashbacks of the hug he received and then for the first time he decides to listen to the heart, as he gets a feeling of interest in the girl and then started to plan about how he's going to get rid of Anna , as she's better of as a friend.

The following day Alaric meets with the same girl and he just ignore her. Later that day the girl goes to Alaric and they talk, Anna sees them hugging and decides to ignore them but she's surprised as it's the first time she ever sees Alaric being so comfortable with a girl, let alone hugging one. Anna decides to call Alaric but like always he does not respond and later he calls and apologize for not responding. Anna then ask why she was hugging that girl and Alaric responded by saying "Well I've developed some crush on that girl. I think that I may love her, and I'm sorry for hurting you Anna but that girl and I are now dating so let's call it quits. We're over, I wish you luck on your future endeavours" and then after that he cuts the call".
