I hated hearing Shadow tell me we couldn’t go out, but I understood. I know a guy like Shalan didn’t like to lose. He was going to use anything he could to hurt Shadow. I mean what kind of man uses his kids to hurt the woman he once claimed to love.
I was going to call Karmin. I was hoping she would help out Shadow. Maybe if she told the court how he left her once he found out she was pregnant it would help Shadow win custody. Then again, I didn’t want Karmin back in my life. I guess I just needed to stay out of it.
