Jacob’s pov
I know me coming here was crazy. I also knew that trying to talk Alexa into being with me could be bad, but I couldn’t help it. I wanted to be with her. I know my father wouldn’t approve.
It would look bad on the company if anyone found out. Was I just being crazy? Could we really make this work? I was willing to try. Alexa was the kind of woman that I’ve searched my whole life for. She was smart, sassy, and so sweet.
“Alexa, I know this is scary. How about we go on one date, and just see how it goes. We can even drive out of town so there’s no chance of anyone seeing us together if that would make you feel more comfortable.”
I thought for sure she was going to say no.
