"Quick, block the door!" Lei Rui screamed, rushing forward.
Everyone hurriedly surged forward, tightly barricading the double doors.
Aside from the two creatures battering the doors, they saw two more appear in the hallway, along with the one that had already broken the skin. Altogether, there were three monsters, all of them pounding on the windows, shattering the glass, and trying to squeeze inside.
"Everyone, guard a window!" Qin Jiagui shouted, gripping a chair tightly. As soon as the green-skinned monster squeezed in a bit, he slammed it back.
Su Yu also held a chair, guarding a window. After two hard smashes, his hands started to go numb. Looking at Qin Jiagui and another boy, both of them were sweating profusely. They couldn't hold out much longer.
The double doors were also being battered relentlessly, shaking with increasing intensity as fine cracks began to appear, the situation growing more perilous.
"We can't hold on... there are five monsters outside... we're done for, all of us..." Su Yu muttered to himself. Out of the dozen or so green-skinned monsters that had charged in, five had made their way to their classroom. He couldn't tell if this was their misfortune or if their fate was simply sealed.
Every time the green-skinned monster barely squeezed in half its head, Su Yu would slam it back, but to no avail. Suddenly, a crazy idea popped into his head, and he took a step back.
The green-skinned monster's heavy club slammed into the iron window frame, bending it slightly. It tried once more to squeeze through one of the iron bars.
This time, Su Yu didn't strike it. Instead, he leaned against the side, as if too tired to continue.
Soon, the green-skinned monster managed to get its entire head through.
"Su Yu!" Qin Jiagui turned his head by chance and saw this, shouting in alarm, "Hit it! It's coming in!"
"Don't worry," Su Yu panted, watching as the monster quickly forced half its body through. Qin Jiagui was so terrified that he felt weak, knowing that if this powerful monster got in, they were all doomed.
Just as Qin Jiagui turned to help Su Yu, who was about to slam the monster again, Su Yu grinned and said, "Now's the time."
He gripped the chair with both hands, mustering all his strength, and brought it crashing down on the monster, wedging it and the iron window together.
With a loud bang, Su Yu's hands went numb, and he thought he might have split his palms. But there was no time to worry about that. In a life-or-death situation, Su Yu went wild, frantically smashing the monster.
Qin Jiagui suddenly realized what Su Yu was doing. Previously, they had been smashing the monster's head as soon as it poked through, wasting energy without causing any real damage. Su Yu waited until the monster squeezed halfway in before striking. The monster's body was slightly smaller than the iron bars, and as Su Yu slammed down, the creature got stuck, unable to move. It was pinned there, completely vulnerable.
Su Yu kept smashing the monster, green blood splattering everywhere as the creature howled in pain, its club slipping from its grasp.
Despite its immense strength, the monster was still made of flesh and blood. Under Su Yu's relentless blows, it soon weakened, slumping against the iron bars, unable to move.
"Die, monster!"
Su Yu, exhausted and almost delirious, delivered one final blow. With a loud crack, the chair shattered, and the monster's head split open.
Then, Su Yu saw something strange—a small, dark, gem-like object emerged from the monster's shattered head.
As soon as it appeared, it shot toward Su Yu's left palm, where it miraculously merged with his hand and vanished.
Su Yu stared at his hand in shock, stumbling back. But when he looked again, there was nothing there. Had he imagined it?
Meanwhile, Qin Jiagui, inspired by Su Yu, waited until the green-skinned monster squeezed in halfway before slamming it.
But unexpectedly, this monster released its club, grabbed the iron bars, and with sheer force, pried itself through the window and into the classroom.
In that instant, Su Yu realized that his earlier victory wasn't due to his own cleverness, but rather the monster's bad luck. The iron window had already been warped by the monster's blows. Its upper body had squeezed through, but its lower body got stuck, allowing Su Yu to finish it off.
As the green-skinned monster burst into the classroom, the students screamed in terror. Several girls, huddled together, were so scared that they wet themselves.
Qin Jiagui, paralyzed by fear, fell to the ground.
The green-skinned monster, filled with rage toward Qin Jiagui, ignored its club, reaching out with its claws to tear at his face and chest.
With its terrifying strength, the monster could easily rip Qin Jiagui's head apart or tear open his chest.
Just as Su Yu finished off his monster, he saw Qin Jiagui in danger and, without thinking, picked up a chair and hurled it.
As he did, Su Yu felt something strange in his body.
Moments ago, he had been exhausted, barely able to lift a finger. But now, in this moment of crisis, he found it surprisingly easy to lift and throw the chair.
Even more astonishing, as the chair flew through the air, it made a "whoosh" sound, moving with incredible speed and force.
"What...?" Su Yu was stunned, realizing that the power had come from his left hand, a strength that wasn't his own.
Looking down, he saw a small, dark scale, about the size of half a fingernail, emerging on the back of his left hand.
With a loud crash, the chair slammed into the green-skinned monster just as it was about to strike Qin Jiagui, sending it flying across the room.
In that moment, Su Yu remembered the dark crystal that had emerged from the monster's head and vanished into his left hand. Could this strange power be connected to that crystal?
Instinctively, Su Yu relaxed his left hand, and the foreign power faded. The small dark scale on the back of his hand disappeared, and he once again felt weak and exhausted.
It all seemed like a dream, but the reality was undeniable—the green-skinned monster Su Yu had just struck was getting back up, glaring at him with hatred in its eyes. It grabbed its fallen club and charged at Su Yu.
His heart pounded as Su Yu quickly raised his left hand, grabbing a nearby wooden table.
The strange power returned to his left arm, and he hurled the table at the monster. The creature's club smashed into the table with a loud crack, sending splinters flying.
Su Yu groaned, feeling a sharp pain in his chest and abdomen. He cried out as he fell to the ground.
The classroom was in chaos. Lei Rui and the others were still barricading the door, several girls were huddled together, crying, while two boys frantically tried to fend off the monster outside the window. Qin Jiagui was on the floor, and another green-skinned monster, club in hand, was advancing on Su Yu, who was struggling to get up.
"Su Yu!" Suddenly, Su Yu heard a desperate scream. It was Su Yu, her face streaked with tears, running towards him. Most of the girls had already broken down in fear, but Su Yu, despite her own terror, couldn't bear to see Su Yu in danger. She lost all sense of reason and charged forward.
Lying on the ground, Su Yu felt intense pain in his abdomen. When he touched it, his hand came away covered in blood. A piece of the shattered table had pierced him.
"Am I going to die?" Su Yu thought, staring up at the green-skinned monster bearing down on him, its club raised to strike.
Then he saw Su Yu, tears streaming down her face, charging at the monster like a madwoman.
"No... don't!" Su Yu saw the monster swing its other hand at Su Yu, ready to rip her apart as she rushed forward.
