Jazmine's POV
It took all the courage I had to kiss him. I don’t even wanna open my eyes only to see him laughing at my poor attempt at a kiss. Another wave of goosebumps traveled throughout my body as his hand snaked through my waist. His lips chase mine and after capturing it, he sucks on it like a lollipop.
Having to gasp for air, I pulled away from him, leaving my neck vulnerable to his undertaking. I look at myself in his glass paneled window, overseeing the busy streets and towering buildings. My flushed appearance would shame anyone walking in on us. Oh no! Did he lock the door? What if someone comes in looking for him? I can’t have other people seeing me like this. But, one lick from him and my body shudders at the pleasure it sent to my core. “Stop. We have to stop or else someone might see us.”
He hums, but as if he’s a vampire, he latches on my neck and sucks on it. The heat overflows inside me and I can’t control it anymore. “Don’t worry, angel. No one would dare to come in without my permission.” Yet, just as he said it, someone threw those doors wide open and yelled for Kurt.
“Oh s**t! Sorry, man. Didn’t know you were busy.” Kurt takes off his coat and wraps me with it. He fixes my hair and shields me with his body before turning to his visitor.
He rummages through his table with an outstretched hand and grabs the first solid thing he can find, then throws it across the room; more like his visitor. “I told you many times before to knock before entering? Were you even taught basic manners when you were a kid?” The visitor only laughed and pocketed his hands.
“Then, isn’t it a good thing I was the only one who saw what you were doing? Leon and Apollo are outside, by the way,” he says with a smirk, and trying to peek at me. Kurt shushes him away and, finally, the man leaves.
Kurt sighs and turns to me. His eyes were apologetic, but behind that I could still see his desire. And something inside me is pleased to know that it is because of me. What is wrong with me? I’ve never been like this with Arthur before. “Sorry about that. And I’d just told you no one would come in.” I didn’t reply. I don’t trust myself enough to speak; afraid my voice ever trembles. I haven’t gone down from the high he shared with me. So, I shook my head to signal I didn’t mind it that much. He stalked towards me and I didn’t have anywhere to run; trapped between him and his office table. “Then, would you like to continue where we started?” Speech became new to me the moment his deep, raspy voice filled my ears. I can’t form any coherent words at all. “I’m kidding, angel. Those guys won’t let me be this time. I’d like to take you home, but I’ll get my driver to do that instead. I’ll call you as soon as I’m free.” His eyes shined like the brightest star I’ve seen, melting my heart into a puddle. I don’t remember Art having that same effect on me. What is this man doing to me? I nodded and took his outstretched hand. And the next thing I knew, I was dropped off in front of my condo building.
Kurt's POV
My secretary directs me to a conference room where my friends are waiting. "Seriously? What the hell are you three doing here?" Gray whistles and taps the shoulders of the two, Leon and Apollo.
"Wanna know why he's grumpy?" He wiggles his brows at our friends who only click their tongues.
Leon takes out his wallet and shakes it in front of Gray's face. "We know what you want, and you just want to milk us dry of our money because of your bets." Gray follows the sight of Leon's wallet like a mad dog.
He shrugs and slumps into one of the chairs. "Well, what can I say, spending is so much better when you know it's not your own money, " he says and sticks his tongue out at Leon.
A wad of five hundred peso bills slid across the table. Gray immediately puts his hand over it. He laughs and counts it, wetting his finger before flicking one bill after the other. "That's why Apollo's my favorite, you know. So, here's the piping hot tea. Yours truly went to inform our dear friend here that all three of us have arrived for the conference. But..." He adds a dramatic pause, making me sigh. "You won't believe what I saw he's doing in his office. Wait, it's not what but who." Silence takes the room, before all eyes land on me.
"What the f**k, man? I thought you were just heartbroken?" Apollo asks.
"Who's the girl?" Leon asks.
Meanwhile, Gray has his Cheshire cat smile. "I'm proud of you, man. She's darn beautiful. Where'd you pick her up?" I threw a pen at him.
"Don't talk about her like that. She's decent." I didn't want to talk about any more details, so I called for my secretary. She gives them a folder containing my business plan. "Anyway, that's not important. We're here to talk business, so I assume you're all ready to listen and give your input whenever I ask for it. If you will, please look at the business plan to go over more details about this project.
She really isn't important. She's just a new distraction and when I'm done with her, I know this foreign feelings will also go away.
