Chapter 20 Tessie hurried across a footbridge heading north over the River Anna Liffey. The wind and rain battered down and she held close to the buildings as she ran, ducking through an alleyway and periodically stopping to look about. Coming to the end of another alley, a small sign batted wildly against the wall so that its picture could barely be seen. "The Cleary" it read, marking a bright red door in a rundown building. Tessie paused at the window, seeing light gleaming from the corners; though, boarded up for the storm, she could see little inside.
