Chapter 10
Her heart tensed as the train glided into Bishopsgate station. She was back in the Angel's territory, having lumbered to a station outside Kyran's village. The journey had been a laboured mix of turmoil with every mile that passed. While Kyran's words plagued her thoughts, she hoped he was wrong. She didn't want to search for her mother, she didn't want to stop the Angel and she didn't care for the truth. She just wanted to find Finn and for everything to be as it was, though the images that rushed up from her imagination would not stop. What had happened in that room? Would he be there? Did he think her dead? She prayed he'd left her something. A little thread she could hold in her fingers and tug at. Something precious to help her find a way to make all of this right again.
