XIX. ‘Fugitives on Lose’

Previously on ‘Tale of the Demon Hero’: Sir Akito dragged Hiiro back to the court room for his trial; Harue finally woke up and stormed out of the infirmary room to find her satchel. The Matsuoka Siblings got exiled; Mayumi was abandoned by her own family. Princess Charlotte and Prince Charles finally met Rai. The Hamasaki Twins woke up inside the cell room and started throwing their shoes at each other while Ms. Perisia and Sammy were grieving back in the ‘Unearthed Caves’.

Back to the ‘Unearthed Caves’

Outside Ms. Perisia’s ‘Cave’…

Mr. Larry arrived at the ‘Unearthed Caves’; Sammy ran towards him and wailed.

“Oh my! Your Uncle Philip has arrived.” Mr. Larry, the ‘Gambling Vulture’, said as he and Sammy looked up in the sky.

The black hawk slowly descended on the ground and magically morphed into King Philip himself.

“The ‘King of Elves’ has arrived! Sammy! My child, what happened?” King Philip said as Sammy ran towards and hugged him.

“Your highness, welcome back. Uh? As you can see, we found 24 dead bodies of our fellow ‘Green Ogres’ near the ‘River of Selenia’ and unfortunately, Nericia was one of them.” Ms. Perisia sadly said as she tells King Philip.

“Huh!? What?! Not my adorable Nericia! Nericia?” King Philip said as he wailed and ran to the 24th wooden stretcher.

“My little sister is dead. Why us?! Why would those ‘Mafias’ and ‘Assassins’ hunt us?” Sammy said as he wondered and wailed onto the 24th stretcher.

“Sammy? Come in here. Don’t worry. Uncle Philip will do anything to avenge your little sister.” King Philip said as he hugged Sammy and wiped off his tears.

“So, Sammy does not know?” Mr. Larry softly said as he asked Ms. Perisia.

“Yes. I opted not to tell him and everyone about this ‘Cursed Mark’ and that rare ‘Alementalian’ element which can be found on our blood.” Ms. Perisia said as she rolled up her right sleeves and showed her leaf-shaped ‘Cursed Mark’ to Mr. Larry.

“Ah, yes! Mine is up here, tattooed on my bald head.” Mr. Larry said as he took off his hat and showed his money symbol-like ‘Cursed Mark’ to Ms. Perisia.

“Shh…Don’t cry, my little one. This must stop. For the meantime, I suggest you leave this place and retreat somewhere else. You know, my offer still stands.” King Philip said as he wiped off Sammy’s tears.

“Offer? You mean us living with your ‘Yellow Faeries and Elves’?” Ms. Perisia said as she looked at her fellow ‘Green Ogres’.

“Mother, what are we going to do?” Sammy sadly said as he asked his mother.

“Alright! I’ll accept your offer. Everyone, please listen to me. After we bury our fellow ‘Green Ogres’, pack your essential things and grab your metal baseball bats we’re leaving our ‘Caves’.” Ms. Perisia said as she made the announcement in front of everyone.

The other ‘Green Ogres’ nodded and ran away; they began packing up their things while the others carefully lifted up the stretchers to the burial cave.

“Hey – Can you help me carry Nerisia back to their ‘Cave’?” King Philip said as he stood up and asked Mr. Larry.

“Okay. I’ll help you.” Mr. Larry said as he scratched his head.

“Thank you very much, your highness.” Ms. Perisia said as she smiled.

Few minutes later, King Philip and Mr. Larry successfully brought the 24th stretcher inside Mr. Perisia’s ‘Cave’; Sammy grabbed Nerisia’s paper dolls and placed it beside stretcher.

“Welcome back, my dear child. I’m sorry but we’ll have to leave you here all alone. Sammy and I promise to come back and visit you soon. Sammy, let’s go.” Ms. Perisia said as she and Sammy prayed beside the stretcher.

Ms. Perisia and Sammy stood up and went out of their ‘Cave’; Ms. Perisia carefully pushed the stone door to close their ‘Cave’.

“Everyone, are you ready?” Ms. Perisia said as she turned around and asked the other ‘Green Ogres’.

The remaining 45 ‘Green Ogres’ nodded and raised up their metal baseball bats.

“Since ‘Green Ogres’ cannot fly; I suggest that we’ll take the train from ‘Fireiya’ going to ‘Iytheria’ then walk from there going back to my ‘Garden.’” King Philip said as he suggested to Ms. Perisia.

“W-What? We’re going to ‘Fireiya’?” Sammy exclaimed as he asked King Philip.

“It will take five days if you all walk going to back to ‘Iytheria’ so it would be easier if you will take the train.” Mr. Larry said as he tells Ms. Perisia.

“Then, how are we supposed to get inside ‘Fireiya’s Sub-Train Station’? Ms. Perisia said as she wondered and asked King Philip.

“We’ll sneak in. I’ve heard rumors that their ‘Village Chief’ ordered to close all their borders from the ‘Main Island’ and the other three neighboring ‘Villages’, so I flew over to ‘Fireiya’ to investigate and I found out that they’ve abandoned their ‘Sub-Train Station’.” King Philip said as he was stretching out his long, slim legs.

“Why would that stupid ‘Village Chief’ close all of their borders?” Ms. Perisia said as she wondered.

“That’s because a m******e happened during the ‘Annual Fireiyan Festival’.” Mr. Larry said as he tells everyone.

“Uh? So, the rumors where true then. I thought you’re residing near the ‘Volcano of Ba-al’ ­­– Wait! Are you visiting gambling houses again?” King Philip said as he shouted at Mr. Larry.

“Yes! I was playing in one of ‘Fireiya’s Gambling House’ when those seven mercenaries arrived and interrupted my poker game.” Mr. Larry angrily said as he stomped his right foot.

“I knew it! I will tell Mr. Terry about this. I wish he is here though.” King Philip said as he sighed and looked around the ‘Caves’.

A skeletonized right arm suddenly sprang out of the ground and seized Mr. Larry’s right arm; this skeletonized arm dragged Mr. Larry down on the ground.

“Come on, Terry. Really? Is traveling underground much better than flying up in the sky?” Mr. Larry said as he sighed and crossed his arms.

“Hello, Larry. You’re still bald.” Mr. Terry said as he sprang up to the ground and dusted off his cape.

“Uncle Terry, welcome back.” Sammy cheerfully said as he hugged Mr. Terry.

“Uh? What’s that inside your skeletonized chest?” Ms. Perisia said as everyone looked at Mr. Terry.

“Ah, yes! I hid this small pot of white roses inside my skeletonized chest so that it will not get broken while I travel underground.” Mr. Terry said as he gently opened his chest and took out a small pot.

“Oh? White roses? That’s Neri’s favorite flower.” King Philip said as he looked at the small pot.

“Sammy, can you give this to Nerisia?” Mr. Terry said as he asked Sammy.

“Yes, of course!” Sammy cheerfully said as he grabbed the small pot and ran away.

Sammy went back to their ‘Cave’, followed by Ms. Perisia; He, then, put the small pot in front of their ‘Cave’ and knocked on the stone door.

“Hey, Nericia! Uncle Terry has arrived. He brought you your favorite flowers so that you’ll not be upset when we leave today.” Sammy said as he shouted outside their ‘Cave.’

“Such a loving big brother. I wish my Faiye would grow up just like him.” King Philip said as he scratched his head.

“C-Can you stop staring at me like that?” Mr. Larry said as he saw Mr. Terry staring at him.

“My apologies. I can’t believe that a sore loser like you kept gambling after the ‘Exiled Prince’ utterly defeated you and I got distracted by your bald head.” Mr. Terry plainly said as he apologized to Mr. Larry.

“Huh?! Sore loser? Damn you, Terry! And my head is not completely bald. So, what are we going to do?” Mr. Larry said as he crossed his arms and asked Mr. Terry.

“About that… please allow me to lead this rescue mission.” King Philip said as he smirked and crossed his arms.

“Um? Why do I have a bad feeling about this?” Mr. Terry said as he sighed.

“Then, you take lead. I don’t want to help you anyway.” Mr. Larry said as he stretched out his arms.

“You’re damn lazy as ever, Mr. Larry! Anyway, I’ve always wanted to transform into something like this. Trans-form!” King Philip said as he stretched out his arms.

King Philip jumped up in the air and magically morphed into a white ‘Fire Bird’ just like what Mr. Sai owns.

“A-Amazing! Uncle Philip turned into a white ‘Fire Bird’! Uncle Philip, down here!” Sammy said as he ran away, trying to call out the ‘Fire Bird’.

“Then, I’ll guide you until you safely get out of ‘Fireiya’. Please follow me.” Mr. Terry said as he walked away.

Sammy ran away, chasing Mr. Terry while the other ‘Green Ogres’ looked at Ms. Perisia.

“Let’s follow him.” Ms. Perisia said as she instructed his fellow ‘Ogres’.

The other ‘Green Ogres’ nodded and ran away, chasing Sammy.

“Hey, you stay away from my ‘Cave’.” Ms. Perisia said as she warned Mr. Larry.

“Don’t worry! I will. Rest assured that I’ll guard your ‘Caves’ while you’re not here.” Mr. Larry said as he sat down on the ground and crossed his legs.

“Oh, Is that so? I thought you’re not going to help us.” Ms. Perisia said as he grabbed her metal baseball bat and slung it onto her right shoulder.

“Well, you see… I just need to find a new place to rest that’s it.” Mr. Larry said as he lies down on the ground.

“I knew it. See you then.” Ms. Perisia said as she walked away.

Few minutes later, all of the ‘Green Ogres’ left their ‘Caves’; Mr. Larry was whistling while lying down on the ground.

“Now, let’s get back to business.” Mr. Larry said as get up and stretches out his legs.

Mr. Larry walked towards to Ms. Perisia’s ‘Cave’ and opened the stone door.

Meanwhile

Back in ‘Iytheria’…

Queen Faeya was resting in her throne while Princess Faiye and Elder Elfie were arguing from what they just have seen.

Inside the ‘Mystic Garden’…

“Uh? Faeya, my child I think should you calm down.” Queen Faeya said as she tried to stop Faiye.

“Mother, I knew what I saw. Those ‘Iytherians’ are preparing for a huge event.” Princess Faiye said as she insisted to Queen Faeya.

“Your highness, I need you to calm down. Please tell exactly what you saw.” Elder Elfie said as he tells Princess Faiye.

“Okay. Alright. I’m calming down – No! You don’t get it.” Princess Faiye said as she flew up in the air and panicked.

“Princess Faiye? Please get down in here. What exactly did you saw, Mr. Leader?” Elder Elfie said as he asked Mr. Leader.

“Ah, yes! I’m Leader, the Head of the ‘Faery & Elves Surveillance Team’. As per Her Queen’s request, we agreed to bring Princess Faiye for our morning surveillance. She also helped us in repairing our wooden fences in one of our borders near ‘Iytheria’ when her Highness suddenly saw something and flew away.” Mr. Leader said as he reported to Elder Elfie.

“Yes! I flew up because I saw three aerostats flying around ‘Iytheria’. I think there’s something very suspicious going on that ‘Village’.” Princess Faiye said as she descended and explain what happened.

“Probably that’s because they are preparing to export their goods back or transporting tourists back to the ‘Main Island’ or ‘Aethyria’.” Elder Elfie said as he tells Princess Faeya.

“No! When I flew above that ‘Village’, I saw some ‘Iytherians’ practicing their target range in the middle of the streets as if they were preparing for an incoming war.” Princess Faiye said as she crossed her arms.

“Wait – What? You flew over that ‘Village’? You crossed our borders without His highness’ permission!” Elder Elfie said as he got angry to Princess Faiye.

“Eh?! I’m sorry. But I got back alive and brought this broken arrow.” Princess Faiye said as she took out and presented a broken arrow to her mother and Elfie.

“Alive? Faiye, where did you get this arrow?” Queen Faeya said as she got worried and carefully stood up from her throne.

“Uh? Um? The strong wind blew me near those street. I got dizzy and I almost hit by a stray arrow from those archers but luckily they didn’t notice me. After they left, I slowly descended on the ground and picked up this.” Princess Faiye said as she explained to everyone.

“What you did is dangerous Faeye! I’m glad that those archers didn’t notice – Ow-Ouch.” Queen Faeya said as she touched her tummy.

Mr. Leader, Elfie and the other ‘Yellow Faeries & Elves’ panicked and approached Queen Faeya.

“Mother! Are you alright? Here, let me help you.” Princess Faiye said as she flew over her mother’s throne and helped Queen Faeya to sit back on her throne.

“Your highness, I think you should rest back at your house instead of waiting in here for King Philip to come back.” Elder Elf said as he suggested to Queen Faeya.

“Everyone, don’t worry. I’m fine. Look what had you done, my son. You made everyone worry about us.” Queen Faeya said as he touched her tummy.

“Son? Yes! I always wanted a little brother.” The overjoyed Princess Faiye said as she flew up in the air.

“Princess Faiye, please calm down.” Elder Elfie said as he sighed.

“I’m glad to hear that Faiye but you’re still grounded.” Queen Faeya said as she smiled at Faiye.

“What? Grounded? Please! I’ll do anything so please take it back.” Princess Faiye said as she descended on the ground and pleaded to her mother.

“Hm? Anything huh? Then, please grab your soft brush and let me comb your wings.” Queen Faiye said as he instructed Princess Faiye.

“W-What? Mother, I’m too old for that – Ah! Alright. I left my soft brush inside my room, in our house. I’ll be back.” Princess Faiye said as she sighed and flew away.

Few minutes later…

“I cannot believe that they’ve finish fixing their aerostats within seven days.” Queen Faeya said as she looked at Elder Elfie.

“Me too, your highness. I’m also impressed that Princess Faeya managed to sneak inside that ‘Village’ and come back with this.” Elder Elfie said as he picked up the broken arrow and examined it.

“I apologize for our negligence, your highness. I should’ve assigned a guard elf to look after the young princess.” Mr. Leader said as he and his team apologized to Queen Faeya.

“No. You don’t have to apologize. Now, we can know what kind of weapons does these ‘Iytherians’ have.” Queen Faeya said as she smiled back at Mr. Leader.

“Such a merciful queen! But I wonder why these ‘Iytherians’ would wage war on us?” Mr. Leader said as Elder Elfie gave the broken arrow to him.

“No. Not to us. Their insane ‘Village Chief’ would willingly wage war onto the entire Kingdom just to get that ‘Cursed Throne’ for himself.” Queen Faeya said as she tells everyone.

“‘Village Chief’? Wait! Do you mean Mr. Geno? He’s still alive?!” Elder Elfie said as he shouted out.

“I fear so. That’s why…Everyone, please listen to me, you’re going to help Mr. Leader and Elder Elfie examine this broken arrow and report to me tomorrow morning. That’s all.” Queen Faeya said as she ordered her ‘Yellow Faeries and Elves.’

“As you wish, your highness.” Elder Elfie said as he and the others kneeled down on the ground.

“I’m back! Mother, I brought my soft brush – Where are they going?” Princess Faiye said as she flew back and saw Elder Elfie and the others walking out of the ‘Garden’.

“Our morning meeting just has adjourned. Anyway, come here my child.” Queen Faeya said as she summoned Princess Faiye.

“Oh? Then, when are we going to attack that ‘Village’? I’m willing to support our guard elves in this ambush.” Princess Faiye proudly said as she flew and sat on the ground, near her mother’s throne.

“No. I only asked them to examine that stray arrow you brought back in our ‘Garden’.” Queen Faeya said as she started brushing Faiye’s right wing.

“What?! Mother, listen to me there’s something suspicious going on that ‘Village’. We must go back and conduct an investigation before it’s too late.” Princess Faiye said as she insisted to her mother.

“I know. But let’s wait for your father to come back and discuss this matter with him. I’ll also tell him what you did today – Eh?” Queen Faeya said as he started brushing Faiye’s left wing.

“Mother, No! Please, please don’t ever tell Father what happened today.” Princess Faiye said as she turned around and pouted back to her mother.

“Hm? Okay. I understand but in return, you’ll have to brush my wings as well.” Queen Faeya said as she gave the soft brush back to Faiye.

“Huh?! But it will take me hours just to brush you wings – Alright! I’ll do it!” Princess Faiye said as he grabbed her soft brush.

Queen Faeya gently took off her long cape and lifted up her bluish silver wings.

“Now, start brushing my dear child.” Queen Faeya said as she smiled back at Faiye.

“No – But? Alright! Your wings are three times bigger than mine.” Princess Faiye said as she started brushing her mother’s right wing.

“You’re complaining but you still doing it. That’s my good girl.” Queen Faeya said as she giggled.

“Mother’s so mean. Eh? What’s this?” Princess Faeya said as she noticed a clover-like tattoo on her mother’s nape.

“Ah, yes. Faeya, that’s my ‘Cursed Mark’. I already told you about that.” Queen Faeya said as Faiye continues brushing her wings.

“U-Uh? ‘Cursed Mark’? Ah, you mean this – Mother! Look, mines glowing at this moment.” Princess Faiye said as she rolled up her left sleeves and showed her diamond-like tattoo to Queen Faeya.

“Hm? I forgot you tell you that these ‘symbols’ glow when someone who have it, touched an ‘Alementalian’ who has a ‘Cursed Mark’ as well.” Queen Faeya said as she tells Princess Faiye.

“Eh? How could you forgot to tell me an important information like that?” Princess Faiye said as she pouted back at her mother.

“Also, I apologize that I have failed to conjure a ‘Nullifying Enchantment’ that can probably help us to go back in our normal lives.” Queen Faeya sadly said as she caressed Faiye’s cheeks.

“Mother? Don’t worry, I’m not angry at you. I’m still who I am no matter how I look like. Even those ‘Alementalians’ are disgusted at me, I’ll continue love myself.” Princess Faiye proudly said as she raised her soft brush up in the air.

“That’s my girl. Now, please continue brushing my wings.” Queen Faeya said as she wiped off her tears.

“Mother, are you crying? W-Why are you crying? Oh, no! W-What should I do?” Princess Faiye said as she panicked and asked her mother.

“No, I’m not. Now, go back doing your task.” Queen Faeya said as she ordered her daughter.

“Eh?! No – Uh! Fine! Mother, may I ask you a question?” Princess Faiye said as she continues brushing Queen Faeya’s right wing.

“Hm? Yes. What is it?” Queen Faeya said as she got curious and asked Faiye.

“What is a ‘Nullifying Enchantment?” Princess Faiye said as she got intrigued and asked her mother.

“I see, you’re curious as well. Then, let me give you and our readers a hint; ‘Cursed Marks’ can be permanently erased if someone successfully conjured a ‘Nullifying Enchantment’ to undo or nullify theirs and live normally like the others. Just like what Ms. Julie did.” Queen Faeya said as she tells Princess Faiye.

“Ms. Julie? I assume you already met her somewhere Mother.” Princess Faiye said as she wondered and sighed.

“Nope. I hope Mr. Charlie is here to answer that question.” Queen Faeya said as she giggled.

“Uh! I really don’t get it Mother.” Princess Faiye said as she scratched her head.

Meanwhile in ‘Iytheria’

Inside their Town Hall…

Yes, my dear readers Mr. Geno is very much alive and mourning for the loss of his beloved wife inside his office.

“It is me. I brought you some tea.” Ms. Molly, Mr. Geno’s mistress, said as she knocked outside the office.

“Come in.” Mr. Geno said as he grabbed his handkerchief and wiped off his snot.

Inside Mr. Geno’s Office…

“Oh, my! Look at you, you’re such a mess.” Ms. Molly said as she went inside and put the tray on the guests’ table.

Ms. Molly grabbed another clean handkerchief and tossed it over to Mr. Geno.

“Thank you. So, are my children done repairing the fourth aerostat?” Mr. Geno said as he asked Ms. Molly.

“Not yet. After I visited the ‘Aerostats’ Warehouses’, I went to the post office earlier and they gave me these two letters. I think these are for you.” Ms. Molly said as she took two envelopes out from her coat’s pocket.

“I have a letter? Wait? I wonder who wrote these. Uh? The first one came from Ms. Annie and the last one came from Mr. Nile. Finally!” Mr. Geno exclaimed as he immediately opened the second envelope.

“Mr. Nile? Oh, I remember him! He’s the current ‘Imperial Court Marshall’ and one of our accomplices. I wonder if he has some good news for us.” Ms. Molly said as she wondered and crossed her arms.

Few minutes later…

“Hahaha! So, those are their plans?” Mr. Geno said as slammed the second envelope back onto his desk.

“Uh? Who are you referring to?” Ms. Molly said as she asked Mr. Geno.

“The other ‘Villages’ decided to close all of their borders from the ‘Main Island’ and from each other. This will make things easier for us.” Mr. Geno said as he laughs manically.

“What? But why would their ‘Village Chiefs’ do that?” Ms. Molly exclaimed as she wondered.

“I don’t care about the other three ‘Villages’! Things are getting interesting. Ah! I have an idea. How about I do the same?” Mr. Geno said as he sat down on his chair and wondered.

“He’s not listening to me.” Ms. Molly said as she sighed.

“Write this down: I, the ‘Iytherian Village Chief’, First, hereby immediately closing our borders to the ‘Main Island’ and the other two neighboring ‘Villages’. Second, ceasing the exportation of goods and banishing all ‘Aethyrians’, ‘Fireiyans’ and ‘Wathyrians’ out of my ‘Village’. and lastly, Closing the ‘Main Rail Route’ going to the ‘Main Island’, forcing them to rent our aerostats instead.” Mr. Geno said as he made the announcement and laughs manically.

“’Rent our aerostats instead’. There! I’m done. Uh? How about the first letter?” Ms. Molly said as she grabbed the first letter.

Mr. Geno seized the first letter out of Ms. Molly’s right hand; He, then, opened and read it.

“So, what does it say?” Ms. Molly said as she asked Mr. Geno.

“Oh my! Today is my lucky day! According to Ms. Annie’s letter, Ms. Akari allegedly confessed that Hiiro’s the mastermind behind the rumored ‘Fireiya’s m******e’. Hiiro and his accomplice Harue were brought to the court room and got exiled while their other seven members were summoned to the Head Quarters and current detained in the ‘Underground Prison’.” Mr. Geno said as he tells Ms. Molly.

“The ‘Royal Advisor’ and ‘Princess’ both got exiled?! Who’s leading the entire ‘Imperial Court’ right now?” Ms. Molly said as she wondered.

“No one. We’re back, Uncle Geno.” Ms. Lilia said as she and Mr. Ciyan opened the door and went inside Mr. Geno’s office.

“Ms. Lilia! Welcome back. Come in!” Mr. Geno cheerfully said as Mr. Ciyan closed the door.

“Ms. Lilia? W-When did you get back?” Ms. Molly said as Ms. Lilia sat down on the guests’ table.

“Thirty minutes ago. Before I left the ‘Main Island’, we went to the ‘Underground Prison: North Wing’ and visited our little brother who seems angry at me so I just left his lunch outside the door and leave.” Ms. Lilia said as she tells Ms. Molly.

“Then, how about the other ‘Village Reps’?” Mr. Geno said as he asked Ms. Lilia.

“They’re probably grieving right now. Hahaha! That damn woman is finally dead. What a relief!” Ms. Lilia cheerfully said as she sighed.

“Big sister, please watch your words.” Mr. Ciyan said as he sat beside Ms. Lilia.

“So, I am not allowed to curse out – Fine! I’m sorry, my younger stepbrother.” Ms. Lilia said as she pouted and crossed her arms.

“Earlier, you said ‘you’ went to the ‘Underground Prison: North Wing’ and visited ‘our’ younger brother – Wait! Are you Mrs. Azumi’s long lost son?” Mr. Geno said as he asked Mr. Ciyan.

“Uh? Yes. I’m Ciyan. Nice to meet you.” Mr. Ciyan shyly said as he introduced himself.

“Eh? Not bad. Hello, young man. I’m Ms. Molly.” Ms. Molly said as she tried to seduce Mr. Ciyan.

“Hey – Really? Stop flirting inside my office.” Mr. Geno said as he shouted at Ms. Molly.

“Damn it. Alright! Fine. Stop nagging at me.” Ms. Molly said as she crossed her arms.

“So, they’ve finally finished repairing those aerostats?” Ms. Lilia said as she looked outside the window.

“Ah, yes! But they still need to repair the other five damaged aerostats. They’re probably finish by next week.” Ms. Molly said as she tells Ms. Lilia.

“Oh, is that so? Then, I should go back forging my poisoned weapons.” Ms. Lilia said as she grabbed the scone and ate it.

“Big sister, please wash your hands before eating.” Mr. Ciyan said as he reminded Ms. Lilia.

“I-I know! You sounded just like Eito. Hand me over that table napkin.” Ms. Lilia shyly said as Mr. Ciyan grabbed the table napkin and gave it to her.

“After they successfully repaired those eight aerostats, we’ll begin the aerial assault.” Mr. Geno said as he laughs manically.

“How mean! I thought Mr. Kaito was helping you train them.” Mr. Geno said as he wondered.

“Mr. Kaito left and went to the ‘Main Island’ to pick up his two sons. He should be probably back by now.” Ms. Molly said as she tells Mr. Geno.

“Eh? Two? I thought that he has three children.” Mr. Geno said as he stood up and scratched his head.

“I knew it! They have abandoned her. Just like what he did six months ago. Poor girl. Mayumi’s probably at lost right now.” Ms. Lilia said as she laughs manically.

“Mayumi? Ah, I remember that name. She’s one of the five ‘Chosen Candidates’.” Mr. Ciyan said as he looked at the scones on the table.

“You two can stay in here and rest. Come on, darling we have work to do.” Ms. Molly said as she walked away, dragging Mr. Geno with her.

“Please open the door. Prisoner #4 has a visitor.” Mrs. Mai said as he commanded the two ‘Upper Knights’.

“But your highness?” Mr. ‘Upper Knight’ #2 said as his buddy opened the door.

“Thank you. Let’s go, Van my child.” Mrs. Mai said as she tousled Van’s hair.

Mrs. Mai gently closed the door; She and Van saw Rai wounded and all chained onto the floor.

“What a stubborn child! Just admit it that you poisoned Ms. Akari and you’ll be forgiven.” Mrs. Mai said as she felt pity for Rai.

“No! I will not. I didn’t murder Ms. Akari. Mr. Ciyan asked me to go home before Ms. Akari died. I don’t know what exactly happened. I’m innocent!” Rai said as she pleaded to Mrs. Mai.

“Liar! You stayed up all night in the main infirmary room and waited for the right time. The next day, you executed your plan while the ‘Council’ is on meeting.” Mrs. Mai angrily said as she shouted back at Rai.

“Hello. It is nice to see you again, ‘Demon Witch’.” Van said as he smirked and approached Rai.

“Van? Oh, you’re still alive?” Rai said as she tried to looked up and saw Van.

“What do you mean by ‘Demon’, Van?” Mrs. Mai said as she got intrigued and asked Van.

“A ‘Cursed Mark’, you say? Let’s see if you’re telling the truth.” Mrs. Mai said as approached Rai and forcefully took away her red scarf.

“N-No! Please stop. My mother gave me that.” Rai said as she pleaded but it was useless.

Van intentionally pushed her away and she hit on the bricked wall.

“Shut up! Damn ‘Witch’.” Van angrily said as he shouted back at Rai.

“Oh, that damn woman gave this to you? Let me tell you something. Your parents had a one-night stand and few months later, they had you. Shuichi left me on our wedding day, saying that he wanted to take care of his new family and never came back.” Mrs. Mai said as she grabbed the red off the floor.

Mrs. Mai took out her medieval knife and started tearing off Rai’s scarf.

“Eh? A run-away groom? Well, I like that new concept.” Rai said as she sat up on the floor and smirked back at Mrs. Mai.

“Damn you! Shut up.” Mrs. Mai said as she got pissed off and slapped Rai.

“Wait! Is that a ‘Cursed Mark’ on your upper neck? You’re right, Van. She is a ‘Demon Witch’.” Mrs. Mai exclaimed as she stepped away from Rai.

“I told you. That’s probably why those ‘Black Hounds’ fond of her.” Van said as he also stepped back away from Rai.

“I may a ‘Witch’ but you two looked more grotesque than me.” Rai said as she smirked back at Mrs. Mai and Van.

Eito was detained inside this room with a mysterious girl sitting on the corner.

“Damn it! Sir Hiiro and Harue got exiled?! Now, the ‘Imperial Council’ is at disarray and mourning for Ms. Akari’s loss. Milady and I were being accused as two of Sir Hiiro’s accomplices. Now, what should I do?” Eito angrily said as he got frustrated was walking in circles inside the room,

“Um? I think you should calm down first.” The mysterious girl said as she looked up at Eito.

“Thank you but I can’t! I’m worried for Milady – Eh? Are those faery wings?” Eito said as he turned around and saw the girl’s wings.

“Ah, yes! These are my matted wings.” The girl said as she stood up and took off her torn cape.

The girl turned around and presented her glowing, matted wings.

“You’re a ‘Yellow Faery’ but you looked like a female ’Iytherian’. What are you doing in here?” Eito exclaimed as he stepped away from the girl.

“No! For your information. Those ‘Yellow Faeries & Elves’ are my sworn enemies and I am not one of them. Hello! I’m ‘Flora’, the ‘Beast of Light’ also known as the ‘Firefly Faery’.” ‘Flora’ said as she introduced herself to Eito.

“’Beast’? My apologies but for me, you don’t look like one. Anyway, I’m Eito, one of the ‘Upper Knights’.” Eito said as he smiled and introduced himself to ‘Flora’.

“S-So, that was you? Oh no!” ‘Flora’ excitedly said as she got flustered and flew away.

But she was unable to fly and fell down on the floor.

“My elder sister just passed away this morning. So, I have to write another two apology letters for my Mother and little sister. I’m glad that Father is not in here to see me being pathetic like this.” Hikaru sadly said as he sniffed and wiped off his tears.

“Oh, your Father? This is amazing! So, that’s why you resemblance to Mr. Kai.” The mysterious boy exclaimed as he stares at Hikaru.

“Big brother!? There you are! Here, let me untie you.” Kenji exclaimed as he ran and approached Kazuki.

“Hurry! We’re almost back at the ‘Central Train Station’ in the ‘Main Island’. They are planning to sold us out to our ‘Wathyrian Reps.’” Kazuki said as he tells Kenji.

“There, I’m done! They? Who are you referring to?” Kenji said as he wondered and asked Kazuki.

“Finally. I’m free. I mean Lady Carla and her ex-boyfriend or that’s what I’ve heard abducted us and brought us to the ‘Main Island’ to sold us out to our ‘Wathyrian Reps.’” Kazuki said as he tells Kenji.

“What?! That was the name of Mr. Charlie’s ex-girlfriend. Here, let help you get up.” Kenji said as he offered his help to Kazuki.

“Uh? Is that a ‘Cursed Mark’ on your left hand?” Kazuki said as he noticed Kenji’s ‘Cursed Mark’.

“’Cursed Mark?’ Damn it! My left glove got torn off. Get away from me!” Kenji said as he panicked and pushed Kazuki onto the exit door.

“Eh?! But that’s your Mr. Blanky. No, Kazuki stop!” Kenji said as he approached Kazuki but it was too late.

Kazuki tore off his favorite blanket apart and use the other half to bind Kenji’s left hand.

“There! Let’s just say your left hand got injured so that no one suspects that you’re inflicted with a ‘Cursed Mark.’” Kazuki cheerfully said as he got finished binding Kenji’s left hand.

“Thank you, Kazuki!” Kenji said as he smiled back at Kazuki.

“Your welcome. Now, what are we going to do?” Kazuki cheerfully said as he wondered.

“Hm? I have an idea. Come in here.” Kenji said as he whispered something to Kazuki.

Few minutes later…

Kazuki started opening each window inside that train wagon while Kenji grabbed Mr. Pillowly. He used the other half of Kazuki’s Mr. Blanky to tie his pillow onto his back.

“Are you sure that this plan of yours is going to work?” Kazuki said as he hesitated and asked Kenji.

“Of course! Trust me, this plan will work or else the ‘Council’ will have our heads off.” Kenji said as he crossed his arms.

“Okay. But what would tell Mayumi after this?” Kazuki said as he stretched out his arms.

“Mayumi is our childhood friend. I’m sure she’ll understand.” Kenji said as he pats Kazuki’s right shoulder.

“Fine! But just in case, I’ve already thought of Plan B.” Kazuki proudly said as he tells Kenji.

“Be amazed! If you plan didn’t work, I’ll try to summon a pair of ‘blue wings’ just like what that annoying ‘Fireiyan’ did while fighting with Mayumi. Then, I’ll use those wings to carry us out of here and fly away.” Kazuki said as he tells his plan to Kenji.

“Annoying ‘Fireiyan’? You mean, Mr. Hikaru? That’s an interesting plan but first of all, you’re a ‘Wathyrian’ and second, your healing ‘Water-Alementalian’ magic does not work that way.” Kenji said as he looked at Kazuki.

“W-What!? I know that! You don’t have to remind me.” Kazuki shyly said as he got flustered.

“Okay. Eh? That’s the train’s siren. Look! We’re almost there.” Kenji said as he and Kazuki took a peak on the opened windows.

“So, let get out of here.” Kazuki said as he looked at Kenji.

Kenji partially took the torn blanket off his left hand and then kneeled down on the floor.

“’Within the abilities given to me, I command thee, Freeze!” Kenji said as he used his ‘Water-Alementalian’ magic.

“Kenji, this way!” Kazuki said as he called Kenji.

“Eh? Ms. Aya, please come back. Mr. Akito, I think you should go back to your room and rest.” Mr. Jiro said as he pats Mr. Akito’s right shoulder.

“No! Get away from me. Don’t worry, I’m fine and we have work to do so let’s leave.” The drunk Mr. Akito said as shoved Mr. Jiro away from him.

“No, you’re not. You’ve been drinking for three days and that’s bad for your health.” Mr. Jiro said as crossed his arms.

“Y-Yes, you’re right! I’m not fine. My cutie Akari’s dead and Hiiro got away before I got the chance to punch him in the face. It is all my fault! I’m really sorry.” The drunk Mr. Akito said as he wailed and kneeled on the floor.

“Mr. Akito?! Please get up the floor. You’re disturbing the other passengers.” Ms. Aya said as she approached Mr. Akito.

“Mei, look! Uncle Jiro’s here to personally welcome us.” Mr. Charlie said as she raised up and shoved his silver case to Mr. Jiro.

“Mei is inside this case? You’re mad, Charlie. Mei died six months ago – Wait! What have you done to Mei?” Mr. Jiro said as he asked Mr. Charlie.

“I’m just glad that Mr. Shuichi to do that for me. It is the only way to save my daughter from that dreaded curse.” Mr. Charlie sadly said as he looked at the silver case.

“What you have done to Mei? Tell me the truth Charlie!” Mr. Jiro angrily said as he seized Mr. Charlie’s collared shirt.

Few minutes later, everyone arrived at the last train wagon.

“What the hell happened in here?” Mr. Akito exclaimed as they all looked at the train wagon.

“It is frozen solid. Even the passengers’ area was frozen as well.” Mr. Jiro said as he jumped up and took a peek inside the train.

“The door knob is also completely frozen. I cannot open the door.” Ms. Carla said as she jumped off the train.

“The Hamasaki Twins got escaped! That damn brat with a strange ‘Water-Alementalian’ magic is probably behind this.” Mr. Charlie angrily said as he punched the ice, covering the entire train wagon.

“This is bad! We have to find them quickly.” Ms. Carla said as she suggested to Mr. Jiro.

“You better be. But first, where’s my ‘Liquid Irons’?” Mr. Jiro said as he asked Mr. Charlie.

“Don’t worry. I have your ‘Liquid Irons’ but we’ve only got three vials.” Ms. Carla said as she took the vials out of her suitcase and gave it to Mr. Jiro.

“Three? But I ordered 24 vials. What happened to the other vials?” Mr. Jiro angrily said as he asked Ms. Carla.

“Uh? That’s a long story and it was the twins fault.” Ms. Carla said as she tells Mr. Jiro.

“Not again. That damn family’s getting in my way, again. After the Hamasaki Family bought the entire ‘Wathyrian Armada’, I lost control of the ‘Wathyrian Navy’ and Mr. Anderson fired me as their ‘Vice-Captain’. Second, they send out a mysterious buyer to steal away my ‘Liquid Irons’. Lastly, they used their twin children to retrieve these.” Mr. Jiro said as he trembles in anger.

“Your highness, what are you talking about?” Ms. Carla said as she wondered.

“This needs to stop permanently. Mr. Charlie I need you to bring those boys back, alive. Pronto.” Mr. Jiro said as he sighed and commanded Mr. Charlie.

“As you wish, your highness. Woman, let’s leave.” Mr. Charlie said as he walked away back to Platform #3.

“Woman? How dare you forgot my name? My name is Carla, stupid. Hey! Wait for me.” Ms. Carla said as she walked beside Mr. Charlie.

Mr. Charlie and Ms. Carla went out of Platform #3 and left the ‘Central Train Station’.

“So, we’re still proceeding with that plan?” Ms. Aya said as she looked at the ‘Liquid Irons’ on Mr. Jiro’s right hand.

“Ah, yes. I need you to find Mr. Manuel and Ms. Judy and do your best to convince them to help us in forging those weapons.” Mr. Jiro said as he ordered Ms. Aya.

“As you wish, your highness.” Ms. Aya said as she walked away and left the rail road.

“We only have three vials of ‘Liquid Irons’. That’s not enough.” Mr. Akito said as he walked around the frozen train wagon.

“I know that’s why I need you to go back in our ‘Village’ and find Ms. June. Please ask her where did she get these vials.” Mr. Jiro said as he ordered Mr. Akito.

“As you wish, your highness. Yes! I can now continue drinking back home. ” Mr. Akito said as he walked away and left Mr. Jiro.

“While you two are going to stay in here and help me investigate what happened to this train wagon. Mr. ‘Imperial Soldier’ #1, you ran along and find the train conductor. Tell him, that I hereby summoning him to meet me in here.” Mr. Jiro said as he ordered Mr. ‘Imperial Soldier’ #1.

Platform #4…

The remaining ‘Fireiyan Reps’ are waiting for their train inside the Platform.

“Darling, I think you should come with you back to our ‘Village’.” Mrs. Mai said as she looked at her husband.

“No. You should stay in here and continue to work in the Head Quarters. I’ll be back as soon as I gave his burial urn to the Hashimoto Family.” Mr. Sai sadly said as he was carrying an urn covered in a red cloth onto his arms.

“Then, please give my condolences to the Hashimoto Family. I’m just sad that Hikaru wasn’t able to come with you today.” Mrs. Mai said as she tells her husband.

“Okay. Uh? Can you look after Rai and Hikaru for me? Especially Rai.” Mr. Sai said as he was requested to his wife.

“Um? I’ll try my best. She’s currently detained in the ‘Underground Prison: North Wing’ and it will be dangerous to go there alone so I’ll ask some ‘Upper Knights’ to accompany me.” Mrs. Mai said as she smiled back at her husband.

“Thank you. Then, when I come back I’ll tell Rai about my investigation.” Mr. Sai said, making Mrs. Mai curious.

“Oh, do you mean your independent investigation about the m******e?” Mrs. Mai said as she got intrigued.

“Yes. Oh shoot! I left my written reports about that back in the office. Can you carry this one for me? I’ll just go back to the Head Quarters and get – Eh?” Mr. Sai said as he was about to rana way but his train arrives inside the Platform.

“Your train has arrived. Don’t worry. I will find that written report and tell personally Rai your investigation.” Mrs. Mai said as she lied and gave the urn back to Mr. Sai.

“Okay. I understand. I’ll be back after three days. See you then.” Mr. Sai said as he picked up his suitcase and went inside the third train wagon.

“Okay. I’ll be here for waiting for your return. Have a safe trip.” Mrs. Mai said as she waved back at his husband.

Mr. Sai’s train left Platform #4 and is now bound to ‘Fireiya’.

One hour later

In the ‘Imperial Dormitories’

Outside Mayumi’s apartment…

The Hamasaki Twins finally arrived outside Mayumi’s apartment.

“I’m coming! Please wait – Eh? Kazuki & Kenji?!” Mayumi exclaimed as she surprised to see her childhood friends.

“Mayumi! Please let us in! Hurry!” Kenji said as he and Kazuki gently pushed Mayumi back inside her apartment.

Inside Mayumi’s Apartment

Living area…

“Kenji? What’s happening? Why are you carrying an extra-large pillow on your back?” Mayumi said as she got confused and asked Kenji.

“We’ll explain later. For the meantime, keep the door locked up and do not let anyone enter your apartment.” Kenji said as he tells Mayumi.

“Uh? Hello! I, the other main protagonist of this story, is still here and watching you two.” Kazuki said as he got jealous and pouted beside Mayumi and Kenji,

“Ah, yes! Eh? What happened to you?” Mayumi said as she looked at Kazuki.

“Um? My clothes got torn off after we jumped off the moving train.” Kazuki said as he turned around and showed his torn clothes.

“Uh? Huh?! Both of you jumped off a moving train?! Are you two damn mad?” Mayumi exclaimed as she yelled at the Hamasaki Twins.

“Let me make this clear, that plan was Kenji’s idea so don’t get angry at me.” Kazuki said as he pointed out Kenji and pouted.

“Huh? How mean! At least, my plan worked and we got out of that train.” Kenji said as he yelled back at Kazuki.

“Uh? Why would you jump off that train? Were someone chasing you?” Mayumi said as she asked Kenji.

“Um? Mayumi, please listen to me. We got into a big trouble and big brother found out that I’m also one of the ‘Blue Mafias’.” Kenji said as he tells Mayumi the truth.

“Wait! So, you know that Kenji’s one of them?” Kazuki exclaimed as he asked Mayumi.

“Ah! Kazuki, please calm down and listen to me. The truth is yes, I knew and – Eh?” Mayumi said as she tells Kazuki the truth.

“I knew it! He’s my little brother and you’re my childhood friend and you chose kept these secrets from me. Am I not that trust-worthy?” Kazuki angrily said as he stepped away from Mayumi and Kenji.

“Secrets? Kenji, what does he mean?” Mayumi said as she asked Kenji.

“Uh? The truth is I just recently told him about our secret relationship.” Kenji said as he tells the truth to Mayumi.

“But you already said that you already told Kazuki about that. Then, you lied to me Kenji. You lied to me.” Mayumi said as she cried and stepped away from Kenji.

“Mayumi, please listen, I need to do that because – Eh?” Kenji said as Yuki went out of the kitchen and took out his medieval knife.

Yuki aimed his knife to Kenji’s right leg and threw it away. Kenji got hit with the knife and fell on the floor.

“Aw! What a touching reunion full of lies and doubts. Thank you for your cooperation, Ms. Mayumi.” Sir Yuki said as he looked at Mayumi.

“Kenji! Kenji! Hey, wake up. Wait! Mayumi, were you planning to sold us out to the ‘Imperial Council’?” Kazuki exclaimed as he tried to wake up Kenji and asked Mayumi.

“I-I’m sorry, Kazuki. I cannot afford to be arrested today. I need to go back to ‘Iytheria’ and asked my family why did they abandoned me.” Mayumi said as she got mad and sat down on the right sofa.

“Ah, about that thing. The ‘Imperial Council’ asked me to arrest you for being one of Hiiro’s accomplices.” Sir Yuki said as Mr. Carlo went out of the kitchen and gently helped Mayumi to get up the floor.

“What? I don’t understand, Mayumi. Why are you working with Sir Hiiro? What have you done? Mayumi, answer me!” Kazuki said as he tried to call out Mayumi.

Mr. Carlo apprehended Mayumi and they both went out of her apartment.

“Now, my fellow ‘Red Assassin’, I need to get rid of witnesses so I asked them to come with me and take you to the ‘Underground Prison’.” Sir Yuki said as two ‘Lower Knights’ slammed the door and went inside Mayumi’s apartment.

“Fellow ‘Red Assassin’? Wait - What?! You’re also one of Lady Carla’s henchmen? Damn it! Get off me.” Kazuki said as the first ‘Lower Knight’ apprehended him and dragged him out of Mayumi’s apartment.

“Yes. I’m your senior though. As per Lady Carla’s decree, any ‘Assassin’ who betrayed the organization, by telling their real identity to the others, shall be punished and this is your punishment.” Sir Yuki said as the second ‘Lower Knight’ and he carefully carried Kenji up the floor.
