XVII. ‘Raid in Wathyria’

Previously on: ‘Tale of the Demon Hero’: Hikaru AKA ‘No.12’ found his lost mask in Mr. Mark’s collections; The ‘Fireiyan’ and ‘Wathyrian’ Reps. with Mr. Anderson went back to the ‘Main Island’. Ms. Lilia visited Mayumi AKA ‘No.13’ and gave her the antidote; Miko and Atsuki found Ms. Lilia’s mask. Harue got lost in the snowy mountains and found the ‘Rusty Gate’ or that was she thought.

Inside the forest

Along the riverbanks…

That night, the three ‘Blue Mafias’, Mr. Harry, Hayami and Kenji were observing the two ‘Red Assassins’ who were resting on the other side of the dried-up river.

“Hayami, are you certain that this dried-up river is the rumored ‘River of Selenia’?” Mr. Harry softly said as he asked Hayami, waiting on his left side.

‘River of Selenia’ is found in the border of ‘Wathyria’ and ‘Fireiya, behind the ‘Unearthed Caves’; this twenty kilometer river appears every 31st day of the month. This dried-up river is connected to cave where we can find the ‘Floating Black Market’. All merchants and customers are welcomed in this ‘market’.

“Yes, Sir Harry. Look at the frozen puddles of water inside the river. Our scorching summer season started last month but none of those hasn’t melted after thirty-one days.” Hayami said as she tells Mr. Harry.

“Oh? Is that so? The rumors about the ‘River of Selenia’ is true then. Kenji, are you even listening? Stop playing with your sniper gun.” Mr. Harry said as he reprimanded Kenji.

“Sorry. I was excited using Master’s sniper g*n. I was surprised that he let me borrow it.” Kenji softy said as he hid the sniper g*n back on the silver case.

“Seriously?! What are you, a five-year-old child?” Hayami said as Kenji blushed.

“Hayami, lower down your voice.” Mr. Harry said as he reprimanded Hayami.

“I-I’m sorry. Kenji, this is all your fault.” Hayami softly said as she blushed.

“Uh? I’m sorry – Wait! Look at those merchant.” Kenji said as they all looked at the other side of the river.

The three ‘Blue Mafias’ saw three merchants carefully dragging their motorized banca down the dried-up river.

“So, only small bancas can cross this river and get inside that cave. I forgot to tell Boss about this.” Mr. Harry said as he sighed and tells Kenji and Hayami.

“Then, I’ll go ask those merchants if we can rent their banca.” Kenji softly said as he fixed up his necktie and pull up his black hood.

“Huh? Ah! Alright! Be careful though. Hurry. Don’t worry about us. Leave.” Mr. Harry said as he wondered.

“Uh? I don’t have any gold coins in my pocket at the moment so can I borrow yours, Sir Harry?” Kenji said as he politely asked Mr. Harry.

“So, that’s the problem?! Ah! Alright. Of course, you’re going to rent that banca. Here.” Mr. Harry said as he took out a small pouch filled with 45 gold coins.

“Thank you very much. I’ll be back – Eh?” Kenji softly said as he grabbed the small pouch and hid it inside his right, chest pocket.

“Wait. Hayami, follow him. I’ll stay and wait for Mr. Charlie in here.” Mr. Harry said as he instructed Hayami.

“Okay. Kenji, let’s go.” Hayami softly said as she picked her bow and arrow up on the ground and quietly ran away.

“Hey – Hayami. Please wait for me.” Kenji softly said as he grabbed the silver case and ran away, chasing Hayami.

Kenji and Hayami quietly ran across the wooden bridge going to the other side of the river. They were about to approach the three merchant when the two ‘Red Assassins’ also wearing black-hooded capes intentionally blocked their way.

“Hayami, stop. Don’t move.” Kenji said as he grabbed Hayami’s right arm to stop her.

“What? Eh? Those two ‘Red Assassins’ predicted our plan. What are we going to do?” Hayami said as she got worried and asked Kenji.

Few minutes later, the two ‘Red Assassins’ giggled and walked away from the three merchants.

“Act normally and follow me.” Kenji said as he dragged Hayami away.

Kenji and Hayami carefully approached the first older merchant.

“Oh? Hello! Good evening. How can I help you?” Mr. Timothy said as he greeted Kenji and Hayami.

Kenji looked and nudged Hayami’s right arm.

“Uh? Ahem! We – I mean my husband and I would like to rent your motorized banca to the ‘Floating Black Market’.” Hayami said as she tells Mr. Timothy.

“Oh? Is that so? Our motorized banca is already rented by those two other merchants. Would be it alright if join you with them?” Mr. Timothy said as he asked Hayami.

Kenji, again nudged Hayami’s right arm; Kenji took out the small pouch and gave it to Mr. Timothy.

“Kenji, calm down. Yes. It is alright. Here’s our payment.” Hayami said as Mr. Timothy looked at Kenji.

“Uh? Thank you very much. Eh!? These are real gold coins. Damn, you probably came from a rich family.” Mr. Timothy said as he opened the small pouch and took out one gold coin.

“Father, we’re done tying up the last pile of dried firewood inside the boat – Eh? You’re the guy who rented our banca earlier!” Matthew, Mr. Timothy’s 7-year-old son said as he approached his father and shouted out.

 “Matthew! Be quite. I’m really sorry about that.” Mr. Timothy said as he apologized to Hayami.

Kenji blushed and walked away from Hayami.

“Ah! Don’t worry. We’ll be back. Ken – Darling! Please wait for me.” Hayami said as she ran away, chasing Kenji.

“Father, I’m done rechecking everything. Uh? What happened?” Thea, Mr. Timothy’s 14-year-old daughter, said as she approached her father.

“Matthew! They are our additional customers. Why would you have to point that out?” Mr. Timothy said as he playfully squished Matthew’s cheeks.

“Father, please listen to me. I didn’t know that they are our new customers and I saw staring at the guy wearing a blue necktie.” Matthew said as his father continues to squish his cheeks.

“I did! That’s because I thought that he was the same guy wearing a red scarf who rented our banca first. But that guy wearing a blue necktie is quite taller than the first one. What kind of sorcery is this?” Mr. Timothy said as he stopped squishing Matthew’s cheeks and wonders.

Kenji giggled as he and Hayami overheard the three merchants’ conversation.

Meanwhile,

Few meters away

From the riverbank…

Kazuki and Ms. Carla were both waiting back on their campsite and also overheard the three merchants’ conversation.

“Hacho! Someone’s talking behind my back again.” Kazuki said as he sneezed and pulled up his brown hood.

“Taller huh? Indeed, Kenji’s taller than you.” Ms. Carla said as she giggled and teased Kazuki.

“Hey! Let me explain. My height is 170.18 cm (5’7) while Kenji’s height is 175.26 cm (5’9). These are the average height of a full-grown, male ‘Wathyrian’.” Kazuki said as he explained to Ms. Carla.

“Uh? But still there’s a .5 difference.” Ms. Carla said as she giggled and teased Kazuki.

“I don’t care! I’m still the older brother.” Kazuki said as he got flustered and pouted.

“Tell me, Kazuki. I thought out rejected my offer before but anyway, why did you join with me in this mission?” Ms. Carla seriously said as she asked Kazuki.

“Correction, this is my last mission. After I resign, I want to focus on becoming the possible next heir of the Hamasaki Household and at the same time, thinking of a plan on how I convince the Second ‘Imperial Council’ to choose me as their next ‘Imperial Ruler’. I will become the next heir my family and Kenji aspires me to.” Kazuki said as he looked up at the night sky.

“Quite prideful eh? I wonder what would Kenji say after hearing that statement of yours. Anyway,I forgot that you’re also one of the ‘Chosen Candidates’ for that ‘Cursed Throne’. Good luck with that.” Ms. Carla said as she stretched out his arms.

“Father, look! The full moon’s out tonight.” Thea exclaimed as everyone gazed up in the starry night sky.

The ‘blue moonlight’ coming from the full moon shines down on the forest where the river is found, thawing the frozen puddles of water and revealing the secret path connecting inside a cave where the ‘Floating Black Market’ is found.

Then, dried-up river was magically filled with ‘magic water’ that slowly rose up to the river banks. The icy, magical water flowed inside the cave and Mr. Matthew’s banca rose up and began floating up on the river. 

“Amazing! So, this is the magical water the rumors were talking about.” Matthew excitedly said as he and Thea ran down the riverbanks and looked at the water.

“Matthew, be careful. Rumors also said that merchants who visit the river should not touch the water or else – Matthew! No!” Thea said as she tried to stop Matthew but it was too late.

Matthew got curious and touched the surface of the water; Suddenly, a scaly, right hand sprang out the water and seized Matthew’s right arm.

The scaly right arm started dragging Matthew into the water; everyone went down the river banks to help Matthew.

“Help! Help me! Father, big sister! Please help me.” Matthew said as he cried for help, trying to push the mysterious right hand away from his.

“Let my little brother go. Eh?” Thea said as Kenji arrived and immediately dragged Matthew’s right arm out of the water.

The ‘Ghost Siren’ with a long, green hair surfaced up the river and wondered what happened.

“Don’t worry. Your little brother is now safe.” Kenji said as he hugged Thea and Matthew.

“Matthew! Thea? Are you alright?” Mr. Timothy said as he approached Kenji and his two children.

The ‘Ghost Siren’ was staring at Kazuki and Kenji; Then, the ‘Siren’ giggled and swam back under the river and went inside the cave.

“What was that?” Ms. Carla softly said as she asked Kazuki.

“A ‘Ghost Siren’. Rumors said that those ‘sirens’ guard the ‘River of Selenia’ from hostile mercenaries, trying to swim and get inside that cave.

“Sorry for the delay. Children, let’s get these people to the ‘Floating Black Market’.” Mr. Timothy said as he wiped off Matthew’s tears and stood up.

Thea and Matthew ran away and went to their motorized banca, followed by Kazuki, Ms. Carla, Kenji and Hayami.

One by one, Mr. Timothy helped Ms. Carla, Hayami and his children to get on the banca; after that, Kazuki playfully jumped onto the banca followed by Kenji.

 Unknowingly, the Hamasaki Twins both sit on the back behind Ms. Carla and Hayami while Thea and Matthew were sitting in front of Ms. Carla and Hayami.

“Alright! Everyone’s inside. Let’s go.” Mr. Timothy said as he started the motor engine and the banca began to move towards the open cave.

The motorized banca starts travelling inside the dark and creepy cave.

One hour later…

Thea and Matthew were getting bored inside the banca and looked at their father.

“Are we there yet?” Matthew innocently said as he asked his father.

“No!” Everyone shouted out in chorus as their response to Matthew’s question.

“Matthew, for the third time, please stop asking that question. Everyone, I’m really sorry about this.” Mr. Timothy said as apologized to Ms. Carla, Kazuki, Kenji and Hayami.

“No. It’s alright. Don’t worry, we’re almost there.” Ms. Carla said as she tousled Matthew’s hair.

“But I’m getting bored. All I can see is water and those crystal-like stalactites up there.” Matthew said as they all looked up on the cave’s roof.

“Indeed! Those stalactites were just like the actual night sky outside.” Thea exclaimed as she looked up on the cave’s roof.

Kenji got tired and fell asleep hugging the silver case. Kazuki chuckled and looked at the sleeping man sitting beside him; He, then, got curious on this man’s silver case and slightly leaned forward to take a peak on this his face.

“That’s a big silver case. I wonder who’s the man behind this black hood – Huh? Eh?! Is that Kenji?! No! No. Probably I’m wrong but – No way?!” Kazuki said as he whispered to himself and looked away from Kenji.

Mr. Timothy looked at the only gas lamp that they are using to light their way inside the cave.

“We’re running out of light. Um? Thea, can you come in here and help me control this banca?” Mr. Timothy said as he called out Thea.

“I’m coming, Father. Eh?” Thea said as Ms. Carla intentionally blocked her way.

“No. My assistant will help your father instead. Right, big brother?” Ms. Carla said as she turned around and nudged Kazuki’s right leg.

Kazuki silently nodded and stood up to help Mr. Timothy.

“Uh? Thank you, Mister. I’m impressed that know how to steer this thing.” Mr. Timothy said as he carefully grabbed the gas lamp off the wooden post.

“Thank you. You see, your big brother owns one of the six fleets of the ‘Wathyrian Armada’ so he practiced how steer an actual warship.” Ms. Carla said as she tells everyone.

“Wow! That’s amazing. We don’t even have a banca back in ‘Aethyria’.” Thea sadly said as he looked at Kazuki.

“I wish I can ride on a warship someday.” Matthew said as he closed his eyes and made his wish.

“Wait! You’re all from ‘Aethyria’? That’s on the Northern side of this Kingdom.” Hayami exclaimed as she asked Mr. Timothy.

“Ah, yes! But we took the ‘Alternate Rail Route’ from our ‘Village’ going to ’Wathyria’. That ‘Rail Route’ was infested with ‘Black Hounds’ who were resting beside the rail tracks, as if they are observing each train that pass on their forest.” Mr. Timothy said as he was trying to find a matchbox inside their bag pack.

“Father, we already ran out of matchsticks.” Thea said as she tells her father.

“Oh, shoot! I forgot that. Ah – No! We’re running out of light.” Mr. Timothy said as he grabbed the gas lamp.

“Can I have that gas lamp?” Ms. Carla said as he took off her black hood and asked Mr. Timothy.

“Uh? Okay. Here. Please be careful though. That’s the only gas lamp that we have.” Mr. Timothy said as he gave the gas lamp to Ms. Carla.

“Thank you very much. Now, children. Look closely inside this gas lamp.” Ms. Carla said as she instructed Thea and Matthew.

Thea and Matthew got curious and looked inside the gas lamp.

“Within the abilities given to me, I command thee, Reshape.” Ms. Carla said as said as she opened the gas lamp and used her ‘Fire-Alementalian’ Magic.

Ms. Carla used her magic to ‘reshape’ the small lit of fire inside the gas lamp; the fire magically turned into a small, glowing circle that eventually morphed into a reddish orange, glowing butterfly.

“Fly, my little butterfly. Show us the way to the ‘Floating Black Market’.” Ms. Carla said as she commanded the creature.

The glowing butterfly flew out of the gas lamp and then went away from the banca.

“You must be a ‘Fireiyan’. What an amazing magic!” Mr. Timothy exclaimed as they watched the butterfly flew away from their banca.

“What? This lady sitting beside me is a ‘Fireiyan’? Oh no! This is bad. What should I do?” Hayami said as she whispered to herself, trying to not look at Ms. Carla.

“Uh? Don’t worry. I will not tell anyone your little secret, Ms. ‘Blue Mafia’.” Ms. Carla said as she took off her black hood and smiled at Hayami.

“Eh?! H-How did you know? Oh, shoot!” Hayami softly said as she got surprised and looked back at Ms. Carla.

“Mr. Harry told me that you’re coming to find that mysterious illegal buyer tonight.” Ms. Carla said as she giggled.

“Sir Harry? Don’t tell – Damn it. I knew it! He’s the traitor Mr. Charlie told us to be wary about.” Hayami softly said as she got angry and cursed out.

“Traitor? That’s just mean. He’s one of my ‘Red Assassins’ who works for me as my informant inside your organization.” Ms. Carla said as she pouted and crossed her arms.

“What are you doing in here?” Hayami softly said as she asked Ms. Carla.

“Mr. Harry reported that there’s a rich man buying our ‘Liquid Irons’ using fake silver coins. We personally came in here to see this damn man.” Ms. Carla said as she tells Hayami.

“Eh? You mean our ‘Liquid Irons.’ The ‘Blue Mafias’ still owns and controls most of the illegal transactions back in the ‘Market’.” Hayami said as she smirked at Ms. Carla.

“You damn little brat. Don’t get in our way or else I’ll kill everyone riding on this banca.” Ms. Carla softly said as she got pissed off to Hayami.

The banca’s engine started to make weird noises and eventually stopped inside the dark cave; Kenji slowly woke up after the banca bumped onto the riverbanks.

Kenji suddenly stood up and shoved the silver cave onto Hayami’s head.

“Ah, yes! Let me hold that for you, dear.” Hayami said as she tried to create a distraction.

“Uh? The banca stopped. Father, what’s happening?” Matthew said as he got scared and hugged Thea.

“Oh, shoot! We ran out of gasoline and because of what happened to Matthew earlier, I forgot to refill our last gallon of it. I guess I’ll have to use these pair of oars to move the banca.” Mr. Timothy said as he grabbed the oars and gave the first one to Kazuki.

“Ah, Sir! Please allow my husband to help you in steering this banca.”  Hayami said as she smirked and looked at Kenji.

Kenji flinched as Mr. Timothy nodded and gave the second oar to Kenji.

Kazuki and Kenji simultaneously started paddling the banca; Kazuki’s paddling on the right side while Kenji’s on the left side of the banca.

 “I apologize for the delay everyone. The ‘Floating Black Market’ is found at the end of this cave so don’t worry we’ll arrive there soon.” Mr. Timothy said as he apologized to Ms. Carla and Hayami.

“Oh, not at all. We’re not in hurry anyway.” Ms. Carla said as she smiled and closed the gas lamp.

Ms. Carla gave the gas lamp back to Mr. Timothy; Thea and Matthew turned around and started staring at the Hamasaki Twins.

“Uh? Is it me or both of those guys are identically looked alike?” Thea softly said as she whispered to Matthew.

“Um? I guess so – Ah! I don’t know either.” Matthew softly said as he whispered to Thea.

Kenji saw Matthew staring back at him and smiled; Kazuki blushed as he saw Thea staring at him and carefully fixed down his black hood to hide his identity.

“Matthew, are you alright? What happened?” Thea said as she wondered and asked Matthew.

“Ah, nothing! Nothing. Hahaha!” Matthew said as he flinched and looked away from Thea.

“Everyone, Look! I think we’ve arrive at the ‘Floating Black Market’.” Mr. Timothy said as the Hamasaki Twins continue paddling inside the banca.

Few minutes later…

Mr. Timothy and the others exclaimed as finally arrived at the end of that cave and saw the lively and festive ‘Floating Black Market’.

‘Floating Black Market’ is found at the end of a cave connected to the ‘River of Selenia’. This ‘Market’ is situated above the river itself. Composed of stalls and stores made of narra wood but the rest of the merchants prefer selling their goods and products inside their bancas, travelling along the river.

“A-Amazing! Look how festive this place is.” Hayami exclaimed as she and the others looked around.

“Hey! Welcome to the ‘Floating Black Market’, fellow merchants.” Mr. Merchant #1 said as he saw Mr. Timothy’s banca and greeted them.

“Thank you very much! Ah! There’s our stop.” Mr. Timothy said as the Hamasaki Twins paddled towards in the wooden ramp.

Inside the ‘Floating Black Market’…

One by one, Mr. Timothy helped Ms. Carla, Hayami and his children to get off the banca; after that, Kenji playfully jumped out the banca followed by Kazuki.

Thea and Matthew ran away and started wandering inside the ‘Market’.

“We’ve arrived at the ‘Floating Black Market’. Thank you for your patronage.” Mr. Timothy cheerfully said to their passengers.

“Your welcome. Uh? Can I ask you a question?” Ms. Carla said as she asked Mr. Timothy.

“Hey, my children! Where are you – Uh! Yes. What is it?” Mr. Timothy said as he wondered.

“Do you happen to know where this woman called the ‘Informant’ lives? Here’s a sketch of her for reference.” Ms. Carla said as Kazuki took out a folded paper and gave it to Mr. Timothy.

“Um? Let’s see. Ah! This is Ms. June, the co-owner of this ‘Market’. She lives on that jewelry store just across that wooden bridge.” Mr. Timothy said as he tells Ms. Carla and Kazuki.

“Thank you very much! Darling, let’s go.” Hayami said as she overheard their conversation and dragged Kazuki’s right arm.

Without knowing, Hayami accidentally dragged Kazuki away and both ran to the wooden bridge.

“Hey – Hayami! Where are you going? Hey!” Kenji said as he panicked and ran away.

“Wait up! Where are you going? You can’t just leave me in here.” Ms. Carla said as she seized Kenji’s black hood and dragged him down on the ground.

“Ow-Ouch. That voice – You’re the new leader of the ‘Red Assassins’ Master is talking about.” Kenji said as he looked up and saw Ms. Carla.

“Oh? My ex-boyfriend even mentioned my name to his little children. I’m honored.” Ms. Carla said as she tousled Kenji’s hair.

Kenji shoved Ms. Carla’s left hand and stood up.

“Don’t touch me.” Kenji said as he dusted off his shirt.

“Eh? Interesting. Kenji’s just like his older brother but you’re a bit taller than him.” Ms. Carla said as she giggled.

“Eh? Eh?! That’s my name. H-How did you know that?” Kenji exclaimed as he asked Ms. Carla.

“Kazuki usually tells stories about his other identical half who he wished his little sister instead.” Ms. Carla said as she crossed her arms.

“Ah, yes. My big brother always wanted a little sister. Last year, on our birthday, when we asked told our parents about that – Uh? They blushed and nervously laughed out. I wonder why.” Kenji said as he pulled back on his black hood.

“Is that so? What a lovely couple.” Ms. Carla said as she started walking away.

“Hey – Uh? Ms. ‘Red Assassin’, where are you going?” Kenji said as asked Ms. Carla.

“On the other side of the ‘Floating Black Market’. Aren’t you also here to visit Ms. June?” Ms. Carla said as she shouted out to Kenji.

“Eh? So, that’s the name of the ‘Black Market Informant’ Mr. Harry told us. Wait! How did Ms. ’Red Assassin’ knew that? Ms. ‘Red Assassin’, please wait for me.” Kenji said as he ran away, chasing Ms. Carla.  

On the other side

Of the ‘Market’…

Hayami and Kazuki arrived and hid inside the narrow alley, two meters away from Ms. June’s jewelry store.

“We’ve arrived. You can have your silver case back Kenji – Eh!? Who are you?!” Hayami said as she took off her black hood and gave the silver case to Kazuki.

“Uh? I’m not Kenji. I’m Kazuki. Hi Hayami!” Kazuki cheerfully said as he took off his black hood as well.

“Ka-Kazuki!? Oh no! Where’s Kenji?” Hayami exclaimed as she saw and asked Kazuki.

“So, Kenji’s here too? I haven’t see him though.” Kazuki said as he lied and wondered.

“N-No! That’s not what I meant. Uh? That red scarf – Wait! Are you also a member of the ‘Red Assassins?” Hayami said as she asked Kazuki.

“Uh? Yes, I am. You’re wearing that navy blue necktie so I assume that you’re also a member of the ‘Blue Mafias.’” Kazuki said as Hayami blushed and used her cape to hid her necktie.

“Um? Yes, I am. A-Anyway, what are doing in here?” Hayami said as she picked up the silver case and stepped away from Kazuki.

“Ms. Carla and I are here to meet the mysterious, illegal buyer who uses fake silver coins to buy a box of ‘Liquid Irons’ in that store.” Kazuki said as he and Hayami took a peak outside the alley.

“But that’s a jewelry store. How could Ms. June sell those vials of ‘Liquid Irons’ in that place?” Hayami said as she wondered and asked Kazuki.

“I don’t know either. Wait! Here comes the mysterious man and his butler. Let’s hide.” Kazuki said as he suddenly pulled Hayami back inside the alley.

The mysterious man and his butler wearing navy blue-hooded capes arrived outside the jewelry store; Ms. Georgia took off her hood, knocked thrice on the wooden door and stood outside, waiting for a response.

Few minutes later, Ms. June opened the door and welcomed her two guests.

Back in the narrow alley…

“Why did you do that? Let me go.” Hayami said as she blushed and pushed Kazuki away from her.

“A simple thank you would be enough.” Kazuki said as he sighed and stood up.

“Then, thank you – Eh? You! You’re the old lady earlier in the banca.” Hayami said as she turned around and saw Ms. Carla standing behind them.

“Old lady? Hey! That’s just rude. You can go back to what you are doing.” Ms. Carla said as she got pissed off and shouted at Hayami.

“What!? Huh!? What the heck are you talking about?” Kazuki said as he blushed and looked away from Hayami.

“Uh? About my husband, do you know where he went?” Hayami shyly said as she asked Ms. Carla.

“Ah, yes! Your husband decided to stay back and jumped on that banca parked under that wooden bridge.” Ms. Carla said as Hayami suddenly ran out of the alley and left Kazuki.

“Hey – Wait! You’re already married?” Kazuki said as he tried to stop Hayami but it was useless.

“Ah, young love. Let her be. Let’s go, Kazuki.” Ms. Carla said as she sighed and walked away.

“Wait! Where are we going?” Kazuki said as he ran away, chasing Ms. Carla.

“We’re going to the jewelry store and meet the mysterious buyer.” Ms. Carla said as she casually walked away and stopped outside the store.

“Huh?! Are you mad? We cannot just barge in there like. Maybe that butler is armed with knives or something. We have to be extra careful. Hey! Are you listening to me?” Kazuki said as he ran forward and blocked Ms. Carla’s way.

“No. I’m not. Oh? So, this mysterious buyer really came? I’m excited to meet him.” Ms. Carla said as she suddenly opened the door.

“No! Stop it. Are you mad – Uh? H-Hello.” Kazuki shyly said as Ms. June and her two guests stopped their conversation.

Inside Ms. June’s Jewelry Store…

Ms. Carla gently pushed Kazuki inside the store and closed the door; Ms. Georgia was carrying a medium-sized, wooden box filled with 24 vials of ‘Liquid Iron’ his Master bought from Ms. June earlier.

“Ah, yes. Customers. My apologies, Sir but I’ll have to attend my other customers.” Ms. June said as she apologized to Mr. Mysterious Buyer.

“No. It is okay. My Master would like to look at these jewelries inside the left glass shelf.” Ms. Georgia said on behalf of her Master.

“Thank you very much. Just call me if you need something.” Ms. June cheerfully said as she walked away and approached Ms. Carla and Kazuki.

The mysterious buyer and Ms. Georgia were carefully examining the twelve jewelries displayed on the left glass cabinet while Ms. June, Ms. Carla and Kazuki were looking at the twelve jewelries displayed on the right glass shelf.

“Good evening, Sir and Madam. Welcome to my Jewelry store. How can I help you?” Ms. June said as she welcomed Ms. Carla and Kazuki.

“Good evening. My boyfriend and I are here to buy this circular pendant.” Ms. Carla said as she looked at the pendant displayed inside the shelf.

“Oh my! This oval pendant is made of silver chains and the rarest gem of all, the ‘Aethyrian Amethyst’ which is only found in ‘Aethyria’s’ mining lands. This pendant costs 18M gold coins.” Ms. June said as she took out the oval pendant and showed it to Ms. Carla.

“A-Amazing! Darling, look at this masterpiece. Darling?” Ms. Carla said as she nudged Kazuki’s right shoulder.

“Eh? Was that Ms. Georgia? No. They are both wearing a white, masquerade mask so I am not sure if that woman who just talked to Ms. June. Uh! What is happening in here, Ms. Author? Ah, yes! D-Dear, what is it?” Kazuki said as he snapped out and asked Ms. Carla.

“I said I want you to look at this circular ring.” Ms. Carla said as she pouted and crossed her arms.

“Oh this! This circular ring is made of a silver base and the most expensive gem of all, the ‘Fireiyan Black Diamond.’ which is only found in the ‘Volcano of Ba-al’ near ‘Fireiya. This ring costs 19M gold coins.’” Ms. June said as she took out the circular ring and showed it to Ms. Carla.

“Then, how about this necklace?” Ms. Carla said as she asked Ms. June.

“Wait! Are we really here to buy all of these jewelries?” Kazuki softly said as he whispered to Ms. Carla.

“Ah this! This elegant necklace is made of a gold chain and the most sought-after-gem in the Kingdom, the ‘Wathyrian Eight-sided Emerald.’ This costs – Uh? 16M gold coins.” Ms. June said as she took out the gold necklace and showed it to Ms. Carla.

“Then, how about this one?” Ms. Carla said as she looked at the four jewelry set inside the shelf.

“Oh this! This bracelet and earrings set is made of circular beads from the most prized gem in the Kingdom, the ‘Iytherian Sapphires.’ This costs – Uh? 17M gold coins.” Ms. June said as she took out the gold necklace and showed it to Ms. Carla.

“That’s it! Darling, I want all of these.” Ms. Carla said as she squealed and pinched Kazuki’s cheeks.

“That would be 70M gold coins, Sir. And aren’t you too young to be married?” Ms. June said as she tells Kazuki.

“Huh?! What?! 70M gold coins? I don’t have much money like that. Let’s leave.” Kazuki exclaimed as he shouted out to Ms. June.

“Then, Duck!” Ms. June said as she whispered to Ms. Carla and Kazuki.

Two of Ms. June’s henchmen suddenly slammed opened the door and aimed their submachine guns inside the jewelry store.

“Raise your hands! Put all of those vials inside this old sack.” Mr. Henchman #1 said as he threw the old sack inside the store.

“Master, this is an ambush. Let’s escape.” Ms. Georgia said as she gave the wooden box to her Master and drew out her two glock-19 hand guns.

Ms. Georgia intentionally aimed and fired at the Ms. June’s henchmen who fought back using their submachine guns. Mr. Mysterious buyer silently took out his medieval knives and threw it on Ms. June’s henchmen; the henchmen got hit by the medieval knives on their upper chests and fell on the floor.

Ms. Carla and the others watched them escaped and ran out of the store.

“Damn it! My plan failed. What are we going to do?” Ms. June said as she asked Ms. Carla.

“Let’s chase them. They took the bait and probably heading back to the cave to get out of the ‘Market’.” Ms. Carla said as she stood up and instructed Ms. June and Kazuki.

“Wait! What? Ms. June is also one of our accomplices? Why did you not tell this – Lady Carla, get down.” Kazuki said as he sensed something and suddenly dragged Ms. Carla back on the floor.

The bullet from a sniper g*n hit the right glass shelf, cracking it into pieces.

“Hey – Why did you do that – A bullet?! Where this came from?” Ms. Carla said as she took the bullet and showed it to Kazuki and Ms. June.

“Damn it! We need to chase that mysterious buyer but if we go out those ‘Blue Mafias’ will immediately shoot us.” Ms. June said as she scratched her head.

Kazuki stood up and ran out of the jewelry store.

“Kazuki? What are you doing?” Ms. Carla said as she and Ms. June ran away and followed Kazuki outside the store.

Outside the jewelry store…

Ms. Carla and Ms. June were standing behind Kazuki; Kazuki sighed and drew out his Short sword.

“W-What is he doing?” Ms. June softly said as she asked Ms. Carla.

“Please watch closely.” Ms. Carla said as she smirked.

Kazuki sensed the second incoming bullet and with one swift move of his right hand, he successfully cut the bullet in the middle and it fell on the wooden ramp.

“A-Amazing! He managed to cut the second bullet. But where did the hell this bullet came from?” Ms. June exclaimed as she looked at Kazuki.

“Let’s chase those buyers. Don’t worry. I’ll protect you from the incoming bullets.” Kazuki said as he tells Ms. Carla.

“Okay. Ms. June, follow me.” Ms. Carla said as she picked the submachine guns off the wooden ramp and gave the second one to Ms. June.

Ms. June nodded and ran away, followed by Ms. Carla and Kazuki.

As they ran away, Kazuki managed to evade the three incoming bullets using his Short sword and at the same time protect Ms. Carla and Ms. June.

Under the wooden bridge

Inside the banca…

Kenji and Hayami were hiding inside that banca parked under the wooden bridge.

“Eh!? We’re 20 meters away from the jewelry store and that ‘Red Assassin’ managed to dodge all of your bullets. Amazing!” Hayami exclaimed as she saw what happened.

“Yes. I saw so please shut up.” Kenji seriously said as he got pissed off.

“Uh? I-I’m sorry.” Hayami said as she apologized to Kenji.

“My apologies. Damn it! That ‘Red Assassin’ is really getting in my nerves.” Kenji said as he cursed out.

“No. It’s alright. So, what are we going to do then?” Hayami said as she wondered and asked Kenji.

“I will not allow that ‘Red Assassin’ ruin my first mission. Start the engine and let’s follow them.” Kenji said as he instructed Hayami.

Hayami nodded and started the engine; Hayami steered the banca and went back to the cave.

Mr. Mysterious Buyer and Ms. Georgia managed to jump on their banca and escaped back to the cave at full speed; Kazuki and others stole a merchant’s banca, pushed him out and steered away, trying to chase the first banca that got escaped.

Back in the Cave

Inside Kazuki’s banca…

Ms. June is steering their banca, Ms. Carla’s on the right side, aiming her submachine g*n at the first banca in front of them while Kazuki’s standing behind her. At full speed, Kenji and Hayami managed catch up with Kazuki team back inside the cave.

On the first banca, Ms. Georgia stood up and started shooting at the banca behind them meanwhile On the third banca, Kenji aimed his sniper g*n and started shooting at Kazuki’s team.

A shoot-out started inside the cave.

“Come on! This is unfair. We’re being attacked on both sides.” Kazuki said as he ran beside Ms. June, protecting Ms. June from Kenji’s bullets.

“Seriously?! That butler is using handguns and she’s a damn sharp shooter.” Ms. Carla said as she yelled out, shooting back at Ms. Georgia using her submachine g*n. 

“Here! Please use my submachine g*n instead.” Ms. June said as she handed over her g*n to Kazuki.

“Hey – Stop! Kazuki doesn’t know – Eh?!” Ms. Carla said as she tried to stop Ms. June but it was too late.

Kazuki aimed the g*n to the third banca but instead of shooting at the two ‘Blue Mafias’, he intentionally threw away the g*n like a medieval knife. The g*n fell onto the river and disappeared.

“For the last time, Kazuki! Guns are freaking used for shooting not throwing.” Ms. Carla said as she got pissed off and yelled at Kazuki.

“I-I’m sorry! I-I’m only good at using Short swords & knives so I found it useless and threw it away.” Kazuki said as he got flustered and shouted back at Ms. Carla.

“Then, should’ve handed it over to me instead, stupid!” Ms. Carla said as she got pissed off and yelled at Kazuki.

On the third banca…

Kenji and Hayami witnessed what happened and looked at each other.

“So, this great ‘Red Assassin’ hates using guns. Huh? That’s strange.” Hayami said as she giggled, while steering their banca.

“Hahaha! This ‘Red Assassin’ is just like my big brother. Back in the ‘Academy’, Big brother usually ditch our target practice classes because he’s unable to use a simple handgun.”  Kenji said as he laughed beside Hayami.

Kenji aimed the sniper g*n onto Ms. June’s right shoulder and shot her.

Kazuki’s banca suddenly stopped and hit the riverbanks: Kazuki slipped and accidentally fell onto the river while Ms. Carla fell and rolled down on the floor. Kenji’s banca managed to pass by beside and left them to chase the first banca.

Inside Kazuki’s banca…

“Ow-Ouch…what happened? Why did we stop?” Ms. Carla said as she stood up and asked Ms. June.

Ms. June was unable to speak because of her injury,

“Ms. June! Here, let me help you.” Ms. Carla said as she approached Ms. June and tore off her cape.

Ms. Carla used her cape to bind Ms. June’s injured right shoulder.

“You could’ve saved me first.” Kazuki said as he floats in the river, behind their banca.

“No. Ms. June will come first and you are a natural born swimmer so you’ll never drown in this river!” Ms. Carla said as she shouted back at Kazuki.

“Thank you, Lady Carla. I was so focused on steering the banca that I forgot to watch out for stray bullets. Ms. June said as she apologized to Ms. Carla.

“No. Not at all. Kazuki, get back in here and you steer the banca instead.” Ms. Carla said as she instructed Kazuki.

Ms. Carla took the rope and tied it on the banca; She, then, threw the other end of the rope to the water.

“Alright, Lady Carla.” Kazuki said as he pouted and grabbed the other end of the rope.

Few minutes later, Ms. Carla finally managed to pull Kazuki up inside the banca; Kazuki steered away at full speed, hoping to catch up the first two bancas.

Fifteen minutes later

Outside the Hamasaki Residence…

Kazuki and Hayami managed to follow the Mysterious Buyer and Ms. Georgia back in the Hamasaki Residence.

“That’s a huge mansion. I wonder whose house is that.” Hayami said as she and Kenji stopped and hid outside the front gates of the residence.

“Indeed! That’s a huge – Wait! I recognized this place. This is our mansion!” Kenji exclaimed as he ran out and opened the front gates.

“Eh? This is your house? But those illegal buyers went inside in here. Are your parents back home?” Hayami said as she asked Kenji.

Kenji put the sniper g*n back in the silver case and gave it to Hayami.

“Here. I want you stay in here and wait for my signal. I’m going inside.” Kenji said as he took off his black cape and instructed Hayami.

“Uh? Okay. I’ll wait for you in here.” Hayami said as she nodded and hid behind the trash cans.

Kenji smiled and ran along their front yard.

In the front doors….

“Okay! Kenji, calm down. I’ll summon Ms. Georgia and ask her to help me find the mysterious buyer who’s hiding in our house. Wait! Something’s off. How did those mysterious buyers have the access to get inside this house? What the heck is going on, Ms. Author?” Kenji said as he whispered to himself and knocked on the door.

Kenji waited outside hoping to get a response inside but no one came.

“Uh? The door’s open. Ahem! I’m back!” Kenji said as he opened the door and went inside their house.

Inside the Hamasaki’s Residence…

Kenji was standing alone in the receiving area.

“Um? That’s strange. Ms. Georgia and the other servants are here to greet me whenever my big brother and I come back home.” Kenji said as he started wandering inside their house.

Few minutes later, Kazuki carrying his suitcase arrived and slammed opened the door.

“Hello! I’m back! Uh? Kenji!” Kazuki cheerfully said as he ran towards Kenji and hugged him.

“Big brother? W-Welcome back! I-I thought you left this morning for your part-time job.” Kenji said as he stammered and greeted Kazuki.

“Yes, I was. But my job’s done and I decided to go home. Hachoo!” Kazuki said as he sneezed in front of Kenji.

“Why are you drenched? What the heck are you doing?” Kenji said as he got suspicious and asked Kazuki.

“Well, that’s my line. Why are you working with the ‘Blue Mafias’?” Kazuki said as he sighed and asked Kenji.

“Huh?! What are you talking about? I went to the visit the library today.” Kenji said as he chuckled and lied to Kazuki.

“Eh? Is that so? I wonder why Hayami’s looking for you back in the ‘Floating Black Market’.” Kazuki said as he stretched out his arms and walked pass beside Kenji.

“Big brother, wait! How did you know that?” Kenji exclaimed as he turned around and asked Kazuki.

“I’ll tell you that after I find that box of ‘Liquid Irons’.” Kazuki said as he opened his suitcase.

Kazuki took out his torn red scarf and dropped it on the carpeted floor.

“W-What!? You’re one of the ‘Red Assassins’?! Kazuki, wait!” Kenji said as Kazuki smiled and ran upstairs. 

Kazuki threw the suitcase to Kenji; Kenji slipped and fell on the carpeted floor.

In the 2nd floor

Along the Hallway…

Kenji was trying to chase Kazuki along the 2nd floor of their mansion.

 “I didn’t expect that Ms. Georgia was working with the mysterious buyer living in our house. I need to find her. Ms. Georgia! Where are you?” Kazuki said as he shouted along the hallway.

“Was that Kazuki? My son, welcome home.” Mr. Ren said as he opened the door and went out of his Archives.

“Kazuki is back? Eh? Welcome back Kazuki!” Mrs. Sally said as she went out her husband’s Archives.

“Father, Mother? I’m back and I need you to get inside the Archives.” Kazuki said as he gently pushed his parents back inside the Archives.

Inside Mr. Ren’s Archives…

“Uh? Kazuki? Are you alright? What happened?” Mrs. Sally said as she got worried and asked Kazuki.

Kazuki locked the door and sighed.

“Father, Mother. Please listen to me, Ms. Georgia is a traitor. I saw her bought a box of ‘Liquid Irons’ in a jewelry shop in the ‘Floating Black Market.’” Kazuki said as he tells his parents.

“Such false accusations, Master Kenji. Indeed, we’re in the ‘Floating Black Market’ to help Master buy these vials of ‘Liquid Irons’.” Ms. Georgia said as Kazuki turned around and saw carrying the box.

“Ms. Georgia! Father, Mother, stay away from her.” Kazuki exclaimed as he drew out his Short sword and aimed it to Ms. Georgia.

“U-Uh? Kazuki, listen to me Ms. Georgia was not the one who bought that box of – Dear, what are you doing?” Mrs. Sally said as Mr. Ren gently pushed her away from Kazuki.

“My son, please answer my question; what you doing in the ‘Floating Black Market’?” Mr. Ren said as he asked Kazuki.

“Uh? Well, I was – Master? Wait! Ms. Georgia calls you Father as her Master. Father! What the hell is going on in here?” Kazuki exclaimed as he asked his father.

“Yes! I’m that mysterious illegal buyer of ‘Liquid Irons’. Kazuki, please let me explain - Eh?” Mr. Ren said as he was interrupted by Kenji.

Kenji arrived and slammed open the door.

“There you are Kazuki! Eh?! Father, Mother and Ms. Georgia? What are you all doing in here?” Kenji said as he went inside his Father’s Archives.

“My Kenji’s back as well? Welcome back! Eh?” Mrs. Sally said as she hugged Kenji.

“Father, Mother! Get away from Kazuki. He’s one of the ‘Red Assassins’! He’s one of our sworn enemies.” Kenji exclaimed as he drew out his hand g*n and aimed it to Kazuki.

“Everyone! Please listen to me. Kenji’s also one of the ‘Blue Mafias’! He’s here to steal that box of ‘Liquid Irons.’” Kazuki exclaimed as he aimed his Short sword to Kenji.

“My Kenji is what? And Kazuki is what? Ah! I don’t understand what’s happening in here.” Mrs. Sally said as she shouted out.

Kenji saw Kazuki’s Short sword and silently drew out his two medieval knives.

“You are the worst, big brother! You would even kill our parents and Ms. Georgia for that box.” Kenji said as he got angry and ran towards Kazuki.

“Huh?! Wait! Let me explain – Damn it!” Kazuki exclaimed as he cursed out.

Kazuki ran away from Kenji; He, then, approached Ms. Georgia and seized the box away from her.

“You’re not going anywhere!” Kenji said as he ran away, chasing Kazuki and the box.

Few minutes later, Kenji caught up with Kazuki and forcefully push him out of the glass window; the Hamasaki Twins fell from the 2nd floor and then landed on the front yard.

Kazuki ran away and was chased by Kenji to their backyard.

Ten minutes later

In the backyard…

The Hamasaki Twins rolled off the green bushes and fell on the ground; Kazuki is trying his best to push Kenji away from him.

“Kenji! Get away from me. Let me go!” Kazuki said as he pushed Kenji away from him.

“No! Give me that box. I will not let you escape carrying that!” Kenji said as he got mad, trying to seize the box away from Kazuki.

“As if I am going to let you take this!” Kazuki said as he threw the box away and punched Kenji on his face.

Kazuki finally managed to get up on the ground and ran away to retrieve the box.

“Ow-Ouch… Damn Kazuki! Come back in here.” Kenji said as he got pissed off and took out his gloc19 hand g*n.

Kenji aimed the hand g*n and fired at Kazuki’s right foot; His plan worked and Kazuki fell on the ground.

“Damn it! I’m almost there.” Kazuki said as he endures the pain from his injured foot, trying to reach for the box that is a meter away from him.

“Yes! I did it! Give me that box.” Kenji said as he got mad and pass beside Kazuki.

“No! That’s mine! Give that back.” Kazuki said as he got mad as well and seized Kenjis left foot and dragged him down on the ground.

Kenji dropped the box and it rolled away from the Hamasaki Twins.

“Damn you, Kazuki! Let me go. Let me go!” Kenji said as he straddled above Kazuki and started punching him.

“Stop Kenji! Let me go. Get off me!” Kazuki said as he punched and pushed Kenji away from him.

Kenji rolled away from Kazuki and hit the tree; Kazuki silently took out his pocket knife and aimed at Kenji’s forehead.

Kazuki threw the knife away and hit it Kenji’s right leg instead.

“Ow-Ouch! Damn, Damn you Kazuki! Hey – give that back!” Kenji said as he cursed out and shouted to Kazuki.

“Sorry, little brother. I’m taking this box – Kenji? W-What are you doing?!” Kazuki said as he picked up the box.

Kenji went mad; He took off his left glove and sighed.

“Within the abilities given to me, I command thee – Ow-Ouch…” Kenji said as he sighed and touched the ground.

“Wait! Is that a ‘Cursed Mark’? Kenji’s also have a ‘Cursed Mark?! Kenji? Stop! Don’t – Oh no!” Kazuki said as he picked up the box and jumped up on the tree behind him.

“Damn Freeze!” The enraged Kenji said as he uses his ‘Water-Alementalian’ Magic.

Kenji’s magic created a crystal-clear like ice, freezing their entire backyard; His magic froze everything inside that backyard.

Up in the tree…

Kazuki finally managed to retrieve the box and now resting up in a tree.

“A-Amazing! Kenji’s ‘Water-Alementalian’ magic froze everything inside this backyard. Even the tiniest insects got frozen. Kenji! Please calm down and listen to – I – Eh?” Kazuki said as he shouted out to Kenji.

“Hahaha! Why? Why is it always you? I’ve already done everything; I studied and honed my skills every damn single day and they still don’t appreciate me. I wonder why Father, Mayumi, and that wretched ‘Imperial Council’ chose you.” Kenji said as he wondered and laughed out.

“Well? Isn’t it obvious that I’m better than you? To be honest, that night, I saw you peaking inside Mayumi’s apartment but we’re having a good time so I decided to ignore you.” Kazuki said as he smirked and jumped down the tree.

“Damn you, Kazuki.” The enraged Kenji said as he took out the knife off his injured, right leg and threw it to Kazuki.

With one swift move, Kazuki slightly tilted his head to the left and simply evaded his own knife and the knife hit the frozen branch of the tree just above him.

“That’s weird. You missed.” Kazuki said as he smirked and taunted Kenji.

“Oh, did I?” Kenji said as he smiled and crossed his arms.

The frozen branch above Kazuki started to shatter.

“What the hell? Eh?!” Kazuki said as tried to run away but he accidentally slipped and fell on the frozen ground.

The branch fell onto Kazuki’s upper body.

“Damn it, Kenji! Get this branch off me.” Kazuki said as he got angry to Kenji.

“Hell no! I’m retrieving this box.” Kenji said as he picked up the box.

 “I would not let you do that.” Ms. June said as she appeared jumped off the same tree and aimed her hand g*n to Kenji.

“Who’s that? A ‘Red Assassin’?” Kenji said as he turned around and saw Ms. June.

Ms. June fired her handgun at Kenji’s left shoulder; Kazuki witnessed what happened to Kenji suddenly fell on the frozen ground.

“Kenji! Damn it! I had the box why would have to do that?!” Kazuki said as he struggled pushing the branch away from him.

“Thank you for retrieving this for us. Now, you’re fired.” Ms. Carla said as she kicked the box away from Kazuki and picked it up.

“Hey – What the hell is going on in here?” Kazuki said as he finally pushed the branch away and stood up.

Few meters away from Kazuki and the others, hiding behind the green bushes, were Mr. Charlie, Mr. Harry and Hayami who aimed the sniper g*n at Ms. Carla’s head.

“Ready, Aim.…Fire.” Mr. Charlie softly said as he commanded Hayami.

Hayami fired at will; Ms. Carla sensed the incoming bullet and used the box to defend herself.

“Oh my! What a waste of ‘Liquid Irons’. It is hard to abduct ‘green ogres’ now a days.” Ms. June said as Ms. Carla gave the box to her.

“My apologies, Ms. June. Hey! You, ‘Blue Mafias’ hiding over there. You can have this.” Ms. Carla said as she dropped the box on the frozen ground.

“Oh my! You found us. Not bad.” Ms. Charlie said as he went out of the green bushes, followed by Mr. Harry and Hayami.

“Mr. Charlie, ‘Blue Mafias’ new boss. Fancy meeting you in here.” Ms. Carla said as she silently took out her handgun.

“Ms. Carla? It’s been a while. Ah! My ‘Liquid Irons’ got destroyed. What a waste.” Mr. Charlie said as he kicked the box back to Ms. Carla.

“No, Boss. Look, there are still three vials that accidentally rolled out of the box.” Mr. Harry said as he picked up the three remaining vials of ‘Liquid Iron’ up the ground and gave it to Mr. Charlie.

“Eh? Lucky me. I wonder how many gold bars our ‘Wathyrian Reps’ will pay me for these three vials.” Mr. Charlie said as he gave the vials to Hayami.

“Master! This way please. I heard someone talking on this way.” Ms. Georgia said as she was carrying a gas lamp, running along the backyard.

“Someone’s coming. Let’s leave.” Ms. Carla said as she and Ms. June ran out of the backyard.

“Let’s leave as well. Let’s bring Mei home.” Mr. Charlie said as he instructed Mr. Harry and Hayami.

Hayami gave the sniper g*n to Mr. Harry; Then, Mr. Harry hid the g*n inside silver case and ran away, followed by Mr. Charlie and Hayami.

Few minutes later…

The Hamasaki couple and Ms. Georgia arrived at their backyard and saw their dying children on the frozen ground.

Ms. Lilia woke up on the left side of the bed, wondering where Hiiro went.

“Good morning.” Hiiro plainly said as he started buttoning his shirt.

“Good morning. You’re already awake. That’s strange.” Ms. Lilia said as she grabbed her blanket and used it to cover her n***d self.

“That’s because I have work to do. How about you? What the hell are you doing in here?” Hiiro said as he grabbed his cape and slung it around his right shoulder.

“Ah, yes! Someone’s jealous but I’m not here to visit you. I’m here to visit my little brother and my friend.” Ms. Lilia said as she giggled and stretched out her arms.

“Liar. Akari’s dying and I need you to give me the antidote.” Hiiro seriously said as he turned around and looked at Ms. Lilia.

“You’re mean. You and your dying little sister arrived back in the ‘Main Island’ last night. You immediately brought her to the infirmary room and saw that Maki’s woman sleeping on her bed. After knowing what happened to her, you went in here and it’s been a while since your last visit.” Ms. Lilia said as she approached and hugged Hiiro.

 “Lilia! After Hikaru showed me that poisoned dragger, I immediately knew that was yours so stop stalling and give me the antidote…please.” Hiiro said as he got pissed off and pushed Ms. Lilia away from him.

“Fine. Mr. George, you may come in.” Ms. Lilia said as she got pissed off and summoned Mr. George.

Mr. George went inside Ms. Lilia’s room; He, then, took a vial out of his right, coat pocket and gave it to Hiiro.

“Thanks. I’ll be leaving.” Hiiro said as he grabbed the vial and wore his cape on.

Hiiro opened the door and left Ms. Lilia and Mr. George back in the hotel room.

“Uh? Milady, is it alright to let Sir Hiiro ran away? And please put your clothes on.” Ms. George said as he took off his own black coat and put it around Ms. Lilia’s shoulders.

“T-Thank you? Don’t worry. I gave the real antidote to Ms.’No.12.’ and probably she’s back in ‘Iytheria’ with her two other siblings.” Ms. Lilia said as she giggled and looked outside the window.

“Ms. Who? Then, what’s inside that vial?” Ms. George said as he wondered and asked Ms. Lilia.

“I forgot to put a label on that vial so probably Uh? that’s the actual concoction that I’ve infused with my forged weapons.” Ms. Lilia said as she scratched her head and went to the bathroom.

 “Milady! This is why young Master Eito asked me to become your attendant for the meantime.” Mr. George said as he shouted out and stomped his right foot.

“Speaking of my little brother, where is he?” Ms. Lilia said as she closed the bathroom door.

“Ah, yes! Young Master Eito is back at the Head Quarters to visit her Highness.” Mr. George said as he started fixing up Ms. Lilia’s bedroom.

Thirty minutes later

Back in the ‘Main Infirmary’ room…

Mr. Ciyan and Mr. Sean went inside the Infirmary room to bring Rai some breakfast.

“Welcome back, Sirs.” Rai said as she greeted the two physicians.

“Here, we brought you some breakfast.” Mr. Sean said as he placed the bronze tray on the center table.

“Uh? Thank you very much. The other two Nurses got tired and fell asleep on their desk.” Rai said as Mr. Sean opened the curtain and saw the two Nurses, snoring on Mr. Ciyan’s desk.

 “Um? In behalf of my little brother, thank you for staying up all night to attend their needs.” Mr. Sean said as he thanked Rai.

“Eh? No! not at all, Sir. The other Nurses helped me as well.” Rai shyly said as she blushed.

“I’m really sorry about this. After her Highness’ emergency landing last night, Harue is so pale and frozen stiff when Sir Hiiro brought her inside.” Mr. Ciyan said as they looked at Harue’s bed.

“We’re worried that even her heart got frozen as well but since ‘Aethyrians’ lives in the high mountains, so they developed a high-resistance immunity against cold. Don’t worry. Her highness is now safe and needs to rest.” Mr. Sean said as sighed.

“Yuki and Harue’s servant were summoned to the ‘Main Court’ room. Mr. Carlo and Emi were also asked to wait outside the court room.” Mr. Ciyan said as he tells Rai. 

“I went to visit them last night and I overheard that the ‘Imperial Council’ used Yuki and Harue’s maid as their hostages and asked Hiiro to find an antidote for Ms. Akari in exchange for their lives. If he, however, failed he will be detained in the ‘Underground Prison’ for starting a treason.” Mr. Sean said as he tells to Mr. Ciyan and Rai.

“Treason? Why would the loyal ‘Royal Advisor’ do such thing?” Rai said as she wondered.

“Sorry. We don’t know either. Hey – That’s my desk. Come on guys.” Mr. Ciyan said as he approached his desk.

“Uh? What are you doing?” Mr. Sean said as he and Rai sat down on the floor.

“Ah, yes! You see, Hikaru and Sir Sai asked me to examine these weapons; on the right side, we have the poisoned dagger, on the center is an arrow head and lastly, on the left we have an iron head from a spear or that’s what Mr. Sai told me.” Rai said as she presented the weapons to Mr. Sean.

“I’m impressed! Your just like your father, the former ‘Royal Marksman’. I wonder why did the ‘Exiled Prince’ fired him.”

“So, my Father was working for the ‘Exiled Prince’ before?” Rai said as she got curious and asked Mr. Sean.

“N-No! Hahaha! Please forgot that I said that. S-So, what did you found out?” Mr. Sean said as he nervously laughed and pat Rai’s right shoulder.

“Okay. Um! I’m still a novice ‘Red Blacksmith’ but I’m pretty sure that none of our ‘Red Blacksmiths’ back in the ‘Village’ forged the arrow head and poisoned dagger. These weapons are forged with the same metals but they have a more complicated design which is different from what the ‘Red Blacksmiths’ usually makes.” Rai said as she looked at the two weapons.

“Huh?! A-Amazing! But how did you know that?” Mr. Sean exclaimed as he asked Rai.

“Um! I-I was – I mean - during weekends, my Father and I went to visit our fellow ‘Red Blacksmiths’ in their workshops. I wrote down some important notes as I observe these ‘Red Blacksmiths’ do their forging.” Rai shyly said as Mr. Sean chuckled.

“If the ‘Red Blacksmiths’ didn’t make the arrow head and the dragger, who the heck forged these?” Mr. Sean said as he looked at the arrow head and wondered.

“Um? Sir, if I may, my theory goes like this: Someone requested our mystery ‘Blacksmith’ to forge these weapons for them.” Rai said as she tells Mr. Sean.

“Hm? That’s interesting. Uh?! Welcome back, your highness.” Mr. Ciyan said as he and the others saw Hiiro went back inside the infirmary room.

“I’m back. Oh, you’re still here?” Hiiro said as Rai ignored him and rolled the cloth back to hide the weapons.

Rai silently grabbed her suitcase which is lying down beside her and hid the cloth inside it.

“Welcome back, your highness.” Rai said as she stood up and greeted Hiiro.

“I found the antidote. Here, please take it.” Hiiro said as he took out the vial and presented it to the two physicians.

“Eh!? You did actually found an antidote… within ten hours?! Is this for real?” Mr. Ciyan said as he grabbed the vial and examined it.

“That’s amazing, your highness.! Hey, let me see it.” Mr. Sean said as he approached Mr. Ciyan.

The two Physicians got distracted by the mysterious vial and continued examining it.

“Ah! Now, I found the antidote my poor Akari is safe… Damn you! You told them the truth.” Hiiro said as he approached Ms. Akari’s bed and started strangling her.

 “U-Uh? H-Hiiro? You’re also here?” Ms. Akari said as she woke up, trying to push Hiiro’s hands off her neck.

“Hey! What are you doing?! Get away from Ms. Akari!” Rai exclaimed as she saw what happened, trying to stop Hiiro.

“You! Damn you! I don’t know why my stupid little sister chose you as her ‘Candidate’. I am way better than you, damn ‘Witch’.” Hiiro said as he got mad and started strangling Rai instead.

“Your highness!? Stop that!” Mr. Ciyan said as they turned around and saw what’s happening.

The two Physicians ran towards Hiiro and successfully pushed him away from Rai who fell on the floor.
