Chapter 3: Accused for a crime I didn't commit

Maliha's POV

Two months later

I heared the door banging so hard that my head hurts.I hoped the person would go away and let me work peacefully but instead the bangs increased.

After so much hesitation I opened the door I'm sure it's one of my fellow Omega but I met the gaze of Alpha Sebastian's daughter Layla the spoilt and annoying brat as I always adress her silently. I saw her scowling defiantly at me, she leaned on the door accessing me till whenever her heart said she should stop.

"What took you so long to open the door and since when did you start closing the door in order to clean the room?. Is it a new law that has been passed, I don't recall the Alpha passing on a new law" She asked

" I didn't want anyone to enter and make the place all messy again as I clean up" I spoke softly. Her eyes rolled in anger

" Who are you?"

"I'm Maliha"

"And what's your position here?"

" I'm an Omega"

" Brilliant I asked you that so I can find out if you still know your place in this kingdom. You know your position but yet you still wanna give orders on who enters the room and who doesn't, It doesn't matter if the room gets dirty multiple times while you clean your a servant girl and your job is to clean you don't have a say in anything. How dare you"I felt a slap across my face in a quick flash. I winced in pain as I held my right cheek, she yanked my hair forcefully and pulled it behind. It felt like I was going to lose all my hair of she didn't let go immediately then she kept on slapping me multiple times. I couldn't process anything neither could I count how many times she slapped me across the face. Damnit it hurts but I didn't cry Instead I blinked the tears all in I just couldn't let her see me cry. I really can't give her the satisfaction she needs.

She shoved me aside and I banged my forehead hand on the bed bunk. I grunted in pain it was so excruciating, I could taste blood in my mouth. She grabbed my neck aggressively as though she wants to strangle me I'm fully aware that if she had the chance she would have done it a long time ago.

"Tell me the truth, what were you doing all alone with the room locked? Were you trying to steal something from me that doesn't belong to you in my own room?" She asked looking into my eyes sternly.

" No my lady I didn't steal anything"

"Are you sure"

" Yes I'm sure" I confirmed

" Well my golden bracelet is missing and my heart says you've stolen it and believe me when I say I trust my guts instincts they never lie to me"

" I promise you that I don't have your golden bracelet with me please let me go" I managed to utter as my voice broke and I trembled in fear. I wondered what joy she derives from getting me humiliated. She looks at me and gives a sly smile.

"Are you calling me a liar. How sure are you that you didn't steal my golden bracelet, Okay we shall see soon enough"

" Girls" She yelled and almost immediately four girls came inside

" Yes my lady" They all chorused

"My golden bracelet is missing. Search my room thoroughly I might have dropped it someone but I can't recall. Alpha Sebastian's son Nathan of the blue Moon pack gave it to me as a gift I can't afford to lose it. It feels like if I loose it I'll loose my love and I can't bear to see that happen to me"

Her girls nodded their heads and splitted to search every nook and cranny of her room without finding anything.

"Goodness gracious!" I muttered in-between my breath close enough for me to hear myself. My heart leaped for undeniable joy as they couldn't find anything.

"My lady, I'm sorry but we couldn't find your golden bracelet forgive us my lady" She looked at them unconvincly and walked round me.

" Search her now, make sure you search her pockets and her undergarments. It may be in her clothes who knows" She smirked and that's when it dawned on me that it is a trap set by her to defame me. I shut my eyes preparing for what will face me, her girls searched me and I heared a voice.

"Your golden bracelet has been found my lady" She said happily, Layla looked at me with fury in her eyes. She pretended as though she isn't the master planner of this whole game.

"My goodness! What's my expensive golden bracelet doing in your pocket. Don't come up with the excuse of you're not aware cause nonliving things can't move. It only means one thing you stole it, you're a thief" She screamed out and spat on my face. I looked at her angrily there was this fire that was burning in my body but yet I needed to keep cool.

"Don't look at me, bow your head down you're not worthy of looking at me in the eyes. You're just a helpless Omega, even if you want to you can't do anything to me cause your dirty and your filthy hands are so dirty yuk" She spat once more on my face.

" Take her to my father. She has to be reported and punished severely that an Omega has the guts to steal a golden bracelet of an Alpha's daughter. She stole my bracelet, she's a thief" She always spoke about her rank with so much pride. Her girls dragged me by my arm aggressively leading me out of the room.

They didn't let go of me as they dragged me forcefully and it felt as though my arms were gonna get ripped off as I kept on shoving my shoulders at them. We stopped right in front of the Alpha's door asking for permission before entering as we bowed down our heads in respect.

"Forgive me Alpha for having to disturb you" Layla says as she bows down her head once more in respect.

" What brings you here" I heared Alpha Alex ask and Layla was swift in giving a reply.

"I have brought a criminal to you" I could feel his eyes all over me but I just couldn't look at him in the eyes I feared for my life.

"And what crime did she commit?"

"She took hold of something that doesn't belong to her and that's my golden bracelet, she stole it. Alpha here it is" She said bringing out the golden bracelet and stretching it forward to him so he can have a clearer view of it.

"How convinced are you you that she stole your bracelet"

"I'm totally convinced Alpha. I went to my room to get my golden bracelet which was placed on my dressing mirror and then I noticed my room was locked but I vividly recalled that I left it open while rushing out. I proceeded to bang on the door but it took minutes for her to open up, when she finally opened up I asked her the reason for locking the door and her reply was to prevent people from entering the room and making it all messy again. My eyes glanced around and having the view of my dressing mirror I couldn't find my golden bracelet and that was when I asked my crew to search for it and they found it in Maliha's dress pocket. That's all Alpha"

" Filthy Omega you dare to steal from the hands that feeds you?" He stood up with anger as he glared and roared at me making me flinch in fear but I didn't forget to bow down my head.

"You'll be punished for the crime you've committed. Lock her up in the dungeon without food or water" He ordered and immediately two guards came towards me as they grabbed my arms tightly and dragged me towards the dungeon.
