Liah went home so I went to take care of Maiandra. She was sleeping a while ago but she just woke up so I entered the room to ask if there is anything that she needs.
“Do you need something?” I asked.
“Nothing. I just want to thank you for saving me and bringing me here. You’re really the best bestfriend that someone like me could ever have. I am so lucky to have you as my best friend.” Best friend? She said best friend two times and I got to admit that it hurts my heart. I see her as my love but she only looks at me as a best friend.
I can tell in her eyes that she still loves Jaxtyn and I guess I’m just supporting character for her, not the hero of her story.
