Chapter 12 (Brother Vs Brother)

After breakfast I ask Rider if we can talk in private. He agreed

We go to his private office were he takes out a bottle of whiskey and pours me a glass. I take it and gulp it down. The whisky goes down smooth it has a hint of vanilla and I can tell it’s one of his expensive bottles.

I look Rider in the eyes “Your my brother Rider and I respect you as my prez but Alli is my sister. I’ll do anything to protect her. She’s been thru a lot and deserves happiness. I don’t know what your intentions are with her but I know you Rider. You don’t care about women and honestly I’ve never seen you in a relationship. I don’t think your the best thing for my sister and if you care about her then you would let her go before she gets hurt.”

Rider clenches his jaw and balls his hand into a fist. “Blade.. I won’t let her go! Not now nor ever and if you try to get in the way brother I’ll have no choice then to fight you”

“I won’t let my Alli become one of your whores!.. For f*ck sakes Rider your 15 years older than her!” I growl out. He knows how much I suffered searching for her. I’ve blamed myself for not taking better care of her. I’m her big brother and I was suppose to protect her and I failed her. Now that I have her back I’ll do anything to keep her safe. 

Rider grabs me by the collar of my cuff. “If you ever say her name and w***e in the same sentence I’ll kill you. Brother or not no one disrespects my Old Lady!”

I’m shocked at Riders confession “O...Old Lady?” I question because an Old Lady is no joke to us it’s like marriage if not more.

Rider lets go of me and I can see he’s trying to calm down

“I love her Blade and it scares the sh*t out of me. I know I’m no good for her but I can’t let her go. I want her to be happy too. I want the world for her and I’ll protect her even if it cost me my life. I want to marry her and make her mine forever. So...please brother give us your blessing because I promise to be faithful and honest with her. She’s my everything”

I’ve never seen Rider so vulnerable before. I guess the devil does have a heart. He truly loves her...she’s not a play toy to him.

“You have my blessing....I guess we’re gonna be brothers for real now.”

Rider chuckles and gives me a side hug. “Good because I would hate to tell Alli I kicked your a**.”

Jake and Jason left to have a talk in his private office. I was so nervous but Jake promised me everything would be fine.

“Come on kitty it’s your turn” Luke gives me a nudge

Luke has become my best friend ever since I recover from the hospital. He’s like my brother and is also very protective of me. I know Jake doesn’t like it but he doesn’t get to control who I talk to.

Luke and I are playing pool at the back of the bar but to be honest my heart isn’t in it. I’m worried about my two favorite men...what if they start fighting? I sigh 

“Kitty what’s wrong? Are you worried about your brother?” Luke ask

“Yes and No. I trust Rider but I also know Jason and he can be persistent”

“He cares about you. It’s understandable he only wants what’s best for you. We all do and if they fight then so be it. Their grown men and sometimes we men need to let out some steam.”

I laugh “Luke you are 19...Your still a boy”

Luke pretends to be offended “So my kitten has claws”

“I’m sorry Luke...”

“Oh no..this means war” Luke eyes gleam with mischievous 

I start to run and Luke chases me around the bar.

Luke tackles me to the ground and started to tickle me. I laugh so hard that I had tears running down my face. What is it with the men in my life tickling me?

Suddenly we hear a loud growl and instantly I knew who it was. 

Luke jumped off me

“Mine” Rider roar like a f*cken animal. It was kind of turning me on. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. I let out the most girly squeal.

“Rider??” I bark out

Jake kicked the door open and threw me on the bed
