Final Breaths, Breathless Face

217 Words
It turned to night, I wasn't far enough because my body started walking back.  It sensed them, all the people at the Safe Haven they call it.  I know its only a matter of time before we get in and kill them.  As I get closer my body picks up the pace.  I see what looks like a fort, but when I finally arrive my body stops.  I see nothing left but dead bodies, human and my kind.  Its sad, there's no-one left.  My body drags around for a bit but then it bursts off in a direction, up.  I climb up the scaffolding likes its my beckon call.  I see him, but I also see what he has.  The spear fly's through the air and crushes my head, I fall backward down to the ground.  As I fall I feel my life leaving its body, before I hit the ground I suddenly stop.  I'm floating, I look down and see my corpse.  I'm dead, forever I will remain here.  Cursed with what is left of my sanity.  I see what seemed to be leaving me, a final breath.  But as I remember what happened before.  My breathless face curses me with darkness, but I surrender.  I gave up now, I close my eyes, and its done.
