I sat in Kadija’s bedroom. Her sheets still held her unique scent. It’s been four moon rotations and I have not gotten rid of her linen. Like a cruel joke, I laid down on her bed waiting for her to come and tell me it was all a joke. I searched her room but there was nothing that would’ve alerted me that she held a deep, dark secret from me. I thought we told each other everything, but I was wrong.
