THE WALLS TALK ABOUT THE DEVIL
Luther exploit the memory he should have forgotten, yet he couldn't brush them off away.
What he didn’t know about was that Leandra is more than prepared than he had been expecting to. However, as of the moment she had been thrown towards as the shadow that was slowly draining the life out from the beast it had on its neck. Galland was gasping for air. What took place was inevitable. It was beyond towards the quick death he was looking forward to.
How can he fight something, which he could not even touch? But the blows coming from that entity were hard as rock. The hit felt like he had been struck by a boulder. While, everything he tried to harm it, all his strength he had put on his paws were all futile. Fruitless, his efforts in vain as he tried to get out from its bulky arms.
He just wanted to kill her....but why does it was becoming more harder than he thought it was?
On the other hand, Leandra did not tore her eyes off. His struggles remind her greatly of their own suffering.
He wanted to kill her, but now he was here...it seems as though the tables has been turned. But what she failed to notice is same with Lilac, her soul, it was becoming tainted...smeared by blackness, bleak evil which had always keep close on her.
Isn’t it something...that Leandra had always asked for?
But at that moment, when adrenaline continue to rush. She heard a call.
“Leandra!” it was soft, and there’s this gentleness she couldn’t understand.
Meanwhile, Lila seems to grew wary, her fangs extended she lowly growl. It was as if, she had not angel, the same guardian guarding Leandra, but something else.
But Leandra seems to be absorb by that voice that everything fell silent around him. It was so serene, as if the chaos unfolding around her vanished. And it feels like her motion is getting slow, and Galland struggles stop.
Everything seems to stop at that moment!
“Come, child.” It whispered softly, and no matter how much she resist, she couldn’t. It follow suit, pursuing her to go somewhere. “Come here and join me, Leandra.” It says as it continued.
“W—who are you?” She was beyond curious.
Who was this person who seems to caught her attention?
She heard Lilac growl gets louder, but at the same time the noise was becoming more fainter.
“I was sent to be you guide, Leandra.” It said.
Is it possible for a voice to become more soothing? Because it just did.
One steps at a time, until she was fully walking, not minding debris that the room has, the ruins from the fight until she finally made it out of the room. And she feels light-headed, but happy. Great and enthusiastic to meet whoever might be the owner of that voice. She was looking forward, anticipation filled her chest, but not of fear, but for how excited Leandra had become ever since she heard it.
It feels both familiar and strange. Odd, and unknown, but it touches her soul.
At the back of her head, Leandra could see a woman, yet her features are concealed. On her arms there lay a bundle she carries with utmost care. Her hold is gentle, it was delicate submerged by questions of who was that infant?
But as she frown onwards, Leandra was brought towards the same route where she run across with that beast. This time, she did stop on her tracks, but she continue. Deep on the forest she was lead onto. The fear she had before feels like it could not—or rather it was unable to get ahold of her.
The forest lay vast, it was dark. The shades cast shadows as it looms. Barefooted, the ground felt cold beneath her souls.
Until then, Leandra found herself ending up to a falls, where the water was sparkling, it was so bright in a vibrant blue colour. At the centre of it, a maiden was submerged, her lower body was, and her back was turned against her.
“Are you the one who’s been calling me?” Leandra asked.
She heard her softly laughs.
“I am.” Before the woman turns around
The moment she does, Leandra was in awe.
The woman was beautiful, but to say she is were beyond that word. She have a long hair, which lay much longer behind her bask, it was sparkling although in a shade of black. She looks ethereal. Her features, which seems to be out of this world the more she look at her. Her upturned nose, soft eyes, and eyelashes in a completely, and perfectly made arched, and small lips, which spread gently whenever she would smile.
She was bare or as it seems, since Leandra isn’t a fool that some beings same with wolves, being naked does not actually matter to them. When the morphed, their clothes get shattered by how vast they are....but that woman, why does she felt like she isn’t a wolf, but something else...?
“Are you an elf?” Leandra carefully asked.
“No, I am not.” The woman seems to be amused at what she ask. “I do not have a pointed ears, didn’t I?”
At what she said, her eyes quickly move towards her ears, and she was right, the woman doesn’t have a pointed ears, it was shaped same with her, as if to fool her that she is a human, but Leandra know better.
“Then, what are you?” She pushed forward her questions.
“Can you guess what I am?” The woman chuckled softly.
Leandra pursed her lips.
“No, I am unable to guess what are you nor where did you came from.” She admitted.
“And what would be the reason for it?”
“I can tell you are a wolves if you have that stench and that aura around them, which is far more dominating.” Leandra gnawed her lips. “And I can guess that you are an elvian if you have pointed ears, but you have none of those two.”
“You are smart, aren’t you?” The woman stated.
“I am not.” A small smile slipped across her lips. “I was just telling you what I have observe.”
“And do you always have some sharp eyes?”
“For a lot of things? Not really.” Leandra admitted before she turned her eyes to her. “So, what are you?”
“I am the one who were sent to guide you, would you believe that?”
Leandra frowns.
“But I have Lilac already.” Or so Leandra thought.
They say she was her guardian. The old elvian said she is and Lilac had been with her even when she was just young. She had save her by means she can and let her trained at night to mould herself for the upcoming wars they were going to wage.
She did not earn any response.
Leandra had fallen into an unfathomable thoughts as she began to think.
She heard the water move, and was well-aware of that the woman was getting closer, walking to where she is as her presence grew nearer.
Right onwards, when Leandra felt something soft, damp and wet cupped her cheeks. It was that woman.
“Not everything you see, and not everyone who had been with you for so long is that one whom you should Believe, Leandra.” She said.
It was strange, how can her palms felt warm and not cold? It offers comfort more than Leandra has been seeking.
“But I know her for so long.” She uttered softly, when her eyes meet hers.
“Someday, I know you will believe WHAT I say.” The woman stated. “Would you trust me if I show it to you?”
Leandra wanted to say no, and refused, but she couldn’t. The more she stared at her, the more she was becoming more drawn to her eyes. Before she knew it, Leandra found herself being held—guided to where the water lies. Her clothes get soak, but it seems not to matter anymore.
She bit her lips.
“Don’t be scared, my child.” The woman reassured her.
As they reached the midst of it, the light intensify.
Her chest thump loudly. She could have sworn that she could hear the loud beating against her ears. And that was time, she realized that she was becoming anxious.
“I—I’m afraid.” And it doubles when she felt that the water is rising.
“Don’t be.” But how can she not?
When suddenly something seems to break, she heard the sound of it shattering into pieces and so as she blinked her eyes, Leandra had seen one of the horrors, which would hunt her eyes.
The woman...her appearance suddenly changes! And it was horrid!
She was no longer beautiful.
“W—what...” She was beyond disgusted.
She was one of the horrific, and grotesque creature she had ever seen. Her mouth split wide until it tore the skin of her lips, and she was shrieking, screeching loudly as it resonate. It hurt her ears. It could almost make her ear bleeds. The woman’s soft face became vile. Some skin were just left hanging as she rot. Eyes ogled, inhuman limbs sprouted claws, which is sharp. And they were digging across her skin.
She never leave the room. She was actually being held captive by its tail, its lower half which remind her greatly of a snake.
“Come to me chhhhhildddddd!” It attempts to pit her under the same spell it had enchant her, but Leandra isn’t a golf anymore.
It won’t no longer fool her!
But she was strong, Leandra give all he right to escape her, but she was greatly failing.
She saw Lilac, but unlike what she saw—she looks normal. She is far from being the evil creature that this vile thing had made her believed. And almost... Leandra almost doubted that Lilac is her guardian.
Everything was just a show, and Galland, he is not there to kill her, but to protect her!
She saw him drawing his sword, but he cannot get closer.
So....everything, they were just illusions that made to deceive her?
It made Leandra infuriated.
“Hold still!” The enemy she thought watched her, waiting for the exact time to pounce.
But the thing is massive. It almost take over much of the space that the room could offer. If Galland morphed, although Leandra stupidly assumed that he had earlier, the room would get destroyed into ruins by both of their weight. It would be disaster, and the fact that they are on the higher floor would not prevent the destruction of the Palace.
Leandra clenched her fist, unaware of the eyes that were watching her from the other side.
“Oh, I didn’t know that she would be able to see through our enchantment!” Argus groans loudly as she pry over the mirror that let them see the events reoccurring in the Palace.
“Is it because you did not kill her immediately, you stupid fool!” His brother, Draken, who had been keeping his eyes across grumbled under his breathe.
“I just wanted to have some fun, before we actually kill her.” Argus said, but now they are in dilemma as Leandra finally woke up.
Draken and Argus Kronos are the God’s of Death, more likely his messenger who granted his will and kill those who are supposed to perish. And Leandra isn’t supposed to live as what they had been ordered to. Leandra, daughter of the former Queen and heiress to the throne, but something happens...the Moon Goddess interfere to what the fate lies for the child and so it is in chaos.
They had been watching her, but they couldn’t get close. When she, the moon Goddess had been protecting Leandra all along. What much worst was when she sent a guardian to make sure that Draken and Argus won’t be able to land a hand on her.
But now when chances are given, when they saw an opportunity. Draken take it, and Argus weaved the scene, a beast they sent, a monstrous devil that could reap Leandra’s life, but now they failed.
“I didn’t expect her to wake up, and for the enchantment to break!” It was Argus. “If only I could put back it—”
“You won’t be able to.” Draken clicked his tongue. “Look.”
Argus followed suit to where he was pointing only to see the door getting slammed open. And there came the King they feared the most.
“Midas...” Draken trembled.
And their fear crept when his eyes directly went towards the monster and he doesn’t look so happy at all.
“Q—quick! Hide! Dammit!” Argus quickly sealed the mirror shut, but they knew it was too late.
Because they knew Midas is capable to see through their magic. And he actually did.
He was not happy at all.
The monster roared, but it seems to feel, get a taste of how dark the Kings aura was. It wanted to cower, but the gods who sent it were no longer present. The walls seems to squeeze it right through, but the instinct it pushed forward, the fear it should inflict seems to wear off. It was supposed to be featured, not the other way around.
“Alpha!” Galland was stunned to see the King present.
Earlier, when he went through the stairs, he was actually thinking of annihilating the child. He felt that hateful sensation, driving him, and he knew that whatever it was, the anger that loitered although one of the council was his father, Galland knew that he won’t be able to betray his King, much worst his Alpha. It was as somebody had been taking in control of him, compelling him to do things until he finally made it to her door.
But as his arrival, that sensation loosen, fainting as if it wasn’t there to begins with.
Then she heard her scream. And imagine his horror the moment Galland finally get to know what was happening.
A monster seize the child, but what he couldn’t brushed off in his mind was the fact...that it is one of the monsters under the wings of one of the gods.
Now, Galland is curious.
What does the child that the Alpha keep had for the Gods to sent it here?
