“Ha! You f*****g b***h! Do you think we want to be here too?” She snapped, stepping closer than I liked, the overwhelming scent of her perfume almost choking me. “If it weren’t for you ruining Kael’s name in front of the Alphas, he wouldn’t be here, he’d be off at war with them instead!”
I stiffened, completely taken back by her words.
“What?” I asked, genuinely confused.
She scoffed at my confusion and pressed on, ignoring Kael reaching out to grab her hand.
“Oh, don’t act confused, you w***e! Why else would the Alphas tell him to stay and look after the pack instead of going to war? I know you’ve been saying bad things about Kael to them, ruining his reputation. I can’t believe, just because you’re selling yourself to them, they’d listen to you over their own beta? Pfft!
