Chapter Twenty-One
Gina was woken abruptly by a sound in her doorway. She blinked as she slowly focused on Connor standing there. As soon as he saw she was awake, he beckoned to her before he hurried away. Gina tried to slip out of Seth’s arms without waking him, but the moment she started to move, they tightened around her. His lips nuzzled at her neck and warmth filled her.
“Seth.” His name came out as a whisper.
“Mmmm.”
“I have to get up. Connor wants something.”
“Can’t he wait?”
She felt the vibration of his words against her throat and she was tempted to say yes. “I thought you didn’t need much sleep.”
Seth sat up enough that he could meet her gaze, a grin forming. “I didn’t plan on going back to sleep.”
She laughed softly as she pushed him away. “That is not slow.”
