Chapter Twenty-Three
Anthony arrived at around the time school would normally be finishing for the day. Gina couldn’t help thinking about how different today had been compared with her usual first day back at school. Creating a list had been about as school like as the day had been. The rest of the day had been filled with consuming a ridiculous amount of food, flicking through numerous television stations only to find nothing worth watching and logging into her f*******: to stare at posts she couldn’t answer. It helped to see how worried everyone was for her. She wanted to tell them she was fine. A little different, but fine. Okay, maybe more than a little different.
Connor came out of the study, pulling his shirt back on and smiled weakly at Gina who paced back and forth in the foyer.
