Chapter Twenty-Nine
Delight lit Raymond’s face as he keyed in a sequence. His finger jabbed the final button with a smile. He grabbed the bench in front of him as an explosion rocked the building.
“What did you do?” Seth grabbed Raymond by the front of his lab coat, his face centimetres away from the man who still smiled.
“Took care of one of your problems. Milo’s helicopter exploded. And from how far away the sound of the explosion was, I’d say he was in it.”
Gina searched for Milo’s heartbeat. She couldn’t find it. “He’s dead.”
Seth swore and let Raymond go. “We didn’t want you to kill him.”
