Chapter 39

1019 Words

KYLE'S POV My knuckles connected with my head of security, Marcus’s jaw. I felt the reaction up my arm. But it wasn’t enough. Not even close. Marcus staggered, trying to regain his footing. Even at that, his stance faltered. I barely gave him a moment to recover. I lunged at him again, my fists up and ready. I couldn’t stop the anger boiling inside. I couldn't silence the growl that tore out of my throat every time I swung. The thought of Rose—my Rose—with that human boy, Brandon, was all I could see, all I could feel. My wolf was on edge, ready to tear something, anything, apart. The idea of her lips on Brandon’s, her hands on him, drove me insane. It wasn’t just anger—it was a dark rage, something that I couldn’t contain. Marcus tried to block my next hit, but he wasn’t fast enough.
