Chapter 25
A figure moved through the darkness like a snake through mist, lithe and smooth as it picked its way through the rubble and c*****e. The dark figures that surrounded it fell to their knees in reverence at the figures passing, their glowing ember-like eyes focused only on the dirt beneath them. “Hail Queen of Shadow…” “Honor be the Queen…” “Darkness swallow her highness.” The whispers filled the dark void, echoing around endlessly at the passing of the woman. Her glowing green eyes pierced through the shadows as she strode forward casually. She was the essence of boredom as she moved. Her eyes never strayed from the invisible path that she was picking her way down. The world she inhabited was made entirely of inky nothingne
