Chapter seven: Lexi

When I woke up, my eyes were burning and my body felt different. There was a surge of energy in my body that made me feel powerful. I got out of bed in search of my mum but then things lifted and started floating. Panicked, I screamed and everything fell down again. "Did I do that?" I asked my self. Moments later, my mum came rushing in. When she saw me awake, she looked relieved. Then taking my hand, she sat me down. When there in silence for a while then she said "There's more to this world, Lexi, a world hidden from human eyes. Thats where we come from". Confused, I looked at her. She imediately understood and stood up. I watched her as she chanted something and then a box appeared in front of us. She took out a large book which seemed to have lived a thousand generations and handed it to me. I carefully flipped the pages as she explained. " A thousand years ago, There was a war in the spiritual realm of the supernaturals. I and Sophie fought in that war as a duo and in order to protect our people, We gave up our powers. Our families, in order to protect us, hid us in the human world. Sophie and I, both royals of different realms were pregnant at that time. When it was time, we went back to give birth to you and Axel. Axel's father took him and kept him in the supernatural world but your father died in the battle and since I did not want to leave you, I brought you back with me. You were supposed to get your powers when you turned 18 but it seems you were called early. Its no suprise since you were born on an eclipse ". I listened quietly as my mum told me everything. When she was done, she handed me a pendant and left. I sat in the warmth of my room and processed everything my mother had just told me. Supernaturals, ... Powers. I closed my eyes and soon, I was fast asleep. That night, I dreamnt I was in a school for supernaturals and I liked the feel of it. It felt like home. Waking up the next morning, I rushed to my mothers room and nodded at her with a huge smile. She hugged me tightly and said to me," You have a lomg way to go". I packed a few things into a small luggage. Okay lets be real, It was a huge one. I put all my necessities together and and went to find my mum. She was with Aunt Sophie when I found her and they both looked at me wuth pride in their eyes. Ready?, Aunt Sophie asked. I nodded in afirmatiom and we all went back to my room. Mum told me to hold onto my necklace and so I did. Then closing my eyes, I heard them chanting. I heard my mum give the signal for me to say the words she had taught me but I couldnt bring myself to, not without a proper goodbye. Opening my eyes, I run t my mum who was now infront of me and hugged her. I did the same to Aunt Sophine and they both smiled. I took a step back, clutch the necklace and said, "llévame a casa"- take me home. All of a sudden, the world started spiralling and I shut my eyes tight to avoid getting dizzy. When I opened my eyes again, I stood in front of a huge gate. " Luna Accademy" I read. The gate opened before me at the mention of the inscriptions and I walked in, dragging my luggage behind me. It was a magnificent sight to behold. The place had a magical aura to it and suprisingly, It felt like home. I was still lost in thought when a man sneaked up behind me. "Its beautiful, innit?" the man asked. "Yeah, very" I responded. "We've been waiting for you", he said. I turned to look at him with a puzzled expression. " Why?" I asked. "You'll find out soon but for now, welcome to Luna Accademy Lexi Stoneheart. I'm Principle Regor. Feel free to learn and live", he said. Let me get someone to show you to your dorm. Hardly had he disappeared than a girl my age excitedly appeared. "Hi, Im Enid" she said. "Allow me to show you to our dorm and room". Then taking my hand in one had and luggage in another, she started running. I guess her superpower was speed cause boy was she fast. she took me to the third dorm on the westwing of the school. I was assigned to room 356 in Saphire dorm. In our room, there were two other girls waiting. It seems like they just arrived in the school too cause they were all unpacking. the room was very large one with four beds at each corner. By the sides were study areas for each student. It was simple so every student could decorate their side to their taste amd preferences. After getting aquainted with the two girls, I set off to work imediately, setting up my study area and decorating my bed and all.
