Sunlight seeped through the windows of my room, resting on my face. All sleep was lost and I sluggishly got out of bed. My mind replayed my dream from last night. "What could it hv meant?" I thought. My mind raced back to the twinkle of his eyes under the moonlight and how he had stretched out his hand to me and I couldnt help but blush. What am I doing? I studied myself and got ready for the day. After taking my shower and dressing up, I went down for breakfast. Mum was already seated at the table and gestured for me to come. I sat down and started eating. The table was a spread of wierd delicacies that mum had been feeding me since childhood and they tasted amazing. During breakfast, mum mentioned the her bestfriend, Mrs. Hund's son had come to visit her and that she would want me to meet him. She kept going on and on about how great he was and I couldnt help but roll my eyes. Mrs. Hund was besties with my mum since elementary school and they grew up together. They never really said where they grew up but always dismissed the question saying "somewhere far far away" whenever I asked so eventually, I gave up. I never met any relative of mine and mum never talked about them. I knew very little of my dad because mum refused to tell me more. She always said when the time came, Ill find out and I never argued. We set off straight to Mrs. Hund's house right after breakfast. When we got to her door, It suddenly opened and Mrs. Hund stood there smilling at us like she was expecting us. "Good morning Auntie" I said in the sweetest voice I had and smiled brightly at her. She nodded in response and turned towards my mum. "Its a pleasure to see you here Sadie" she said. "Same here Sophie" my mum replied she gestured for us to come in and took us to the living room. Setting a plate of home made cookies, she asked how I was doing and I responded politely. "All is great Auntie" I said. She told me her son was around and asked if I wanted to meet him and I agreed. Casting a look at my mum, they both gave a secret smile but I caught it on time. "Axel!" she called out. "Come and meet my bestfriend and her daughter". A while later a boy my age emerged from the staircase. I looked up at him and my eyes widened in shock.
