"Seraphina is my best secretary; she understands me the most. So, don't insult her; I will always protect her. Do you understand?" said Kaelos.
His expression looked confused, but he tried to appear firm and brave. I breathed a sigh of relief, though I almost laughed at his silly behavior.
On one hand, my heart was touched by how he stood up for me—even if the reason was a bit foolish. On the other hand, I had to hold back a smile, seeing this usually confident Alpha acting like a child protecting his favorite toy with stammering excuses.
His friends exchanged glances, looking a bit confused by Kaelos's over-the-top reaction.
