‘The New Year Eve’
Why did she say so, not to remind her of this day? What happened on this day? I wanted to ask her at the same time but I decided not to at least until the next night as it was a good conversation that we had had and I didn’t want to ruin it by making her sad or angry. So, I put my phone aside and went to sleep. The next day I woke up and followed the usual routine, freshened up, went downstairs, had breakfast; mom was home by then so, a bit of a chit-chat with mom, and came back into my room. I was relieved that she didn’t ask me about the broken cups or might be it had skipped her mind. I decided to do some of my studies that day as I didn’t touch any of my books from the past many day
