Chapter 5Adin The elven kingdom was unlike anything he had seen. There were no farms. The cities were hidden in dense trees. The king’s castle didn’t have protection from his town. It was not like the human castles that stood on hills protected by walls and moats. The elves had built their capital between two large rivers that separated them from the humans and fairies but not from one another. The elf castle was expansive and had hundreds of rooms. The walls were made of wood, as was the floor. There was no marble. Most of the castle was outdoors. There were no halls connecting rooms. Where there were no rooms, there was nature and open skies.
