King Damian was livid. He had every intention of executing Liam but had no idea how to do it without losing support. Liam was charming and beloved by the entire human kingdom. Liam told stories of how he toured the villages and met with villagers. He was relatable and charismatic. King Damian had realized his court was against him. None of the court stopped Liam or even protested Liam’s actions.
What made things worse for the king was Liam oversaw the military. King Damian would execute anyone regardless of how the public felt about them. Moving against someone the military loved and the villagers idolized forced the king into a problematic situation.
“I need the military to think he failed them or come up with an undeniable excuse to execute him,” King Damian vented.
