Adin returned to Auberi, exhausted and in agony. Auberi had a complete panic attack when Adin arrived. Auberi’s fingers traced the scar on Adin’s neck. For days Adin slept, in and out of consciousness as Auberi held him.
“I would love to be invited to all the king’s parties. However, I do not want to be king,” Tael acknowledged.
It was early morning. Adin was finally able to keep himself awake.
Auberi and Adin sat in bed laughing at this. When Tael returned, he threw an outlandish three-day party complete with several orgies. Much of the kingdom suffered from massive hangovers.
