After a long plane flight, they had changed planes three times and each time the plane become smaller and ricketier. Isabella, Jason, and McKenzie were outside of the building that housed Lazarus Fane and his men. The warehouse was on the St. Mary’s River. The Canadian border ran down the center of the river making it convenient for those no longer welcome in the U.S.
It seemed quiet. Isabella wasn’t fooled though, there was danger waiting there. She knew this place, she’d grown up here and the stories of the waterfront were the stuff of legends. “His men are probably wearing vests, so shoot for the head or the limbs. It’s a tougher shot, but it’ll at least cause some damage.”
