Lily woke up to the sound of her mom screaming from downstairs. "Lily, hurry up! You're going to be late for your job search!" She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, still thinking about the mysterious stranger from the night before.
"Ugh, mom, do I have to?" Lily whined, tossing her pillow aside.
"Yes, you do! You need to find a job and start earning some money," her mom replied, her voice firm but laced with concern.
Lily groaned and threw off her covers. She stumbled out of bed and began getting ready, her mind still preoccupied with thoughts of Keal.
As she rushed around the house, her mom handed her a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice. "Eat something before you go, and don't forget to wear something nice for your interviews."
Lily took a bite of her cereal, feeling a bit more energized. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door, determined to find a job that would change her life.
The sun was shining brightly as Lily walked to the city, her feet carrying her toward a new chapter in her life. She had a few job interviews lined up, and she was hopeful about landing a role in the music industry.
As she walked into the first interview, Lily felt a sense of nervousness wash over her. But she took a deep breath, remembering her mom's words of encouragement.
The interview went well, and Lily felt confident about her chances. She left the building, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
And then, she saw him – Keal, the mysterious stranger from the night before. He was standing outside the Blackwood Music building, looking every bit the powerful and influential music mogul.
Lily's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met. Keal's expression was unreadable, but Lily could sense a spark of interest in his eyes.
"Good morning," Keal said, his voice low and smooth.
Lily smiled, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Good morning," she replied, trying to sound calm.
Keal's eyes lingered on her face, and Lily felt like he was seeing right through her. "You're here for the interview?" he asked, his voice firm.
Lily nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. "Yes, I am."
Keal's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to gleam with interest. "I think we can discuss your qualifications further," he said, his voice commanding.
