Chapter Five
Adam and I were closing up the cargo bay doors preparing to leave her parent’s moon when Amy and her parents come up the ramp. This time she had a bag with her. She had packed her things and was ready to take her place as one of my crew. Amy gives me this look that basically said “follow my lead”. I had no problem with that. I had been cleared by the police and saw no reason not to do so.
Her father comes over to talk to me about his daughter. I had no idea what Amy had told them, so I chose my words carefully. His main concern was that Amy stayed safe.
